I purchased this car new when it first came out in Champaign silver metallic. To date , this is by far the best reliable car I have ever owned. Put on over 60,000 miles and never not one time did this car see any repair or warranty work.
I love the car. I currently own tge 2017 LT trim and in January 2020 my transmission gave problems at 102,000 km. Mind you, I only brought the car in May 2018. Thank God it still had the 5 yr warranty covered. It took me 4 1/2 to get the car back from the dealership, from Jan 23 to Jun 12 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
GM/Chevy killing off the Impala once again 🤦♂️ Chevy should've just listen and made bigger upgraded body and interior with a V8 RWD Impala SS, but no.
Its definitely gonna come back in a couple years I'm just not sure what engine their gonna use. Tbh that v6 is pretty quick it's just that 6 speed made it seem slower. Look at the blazer with the 9 speed, that shit is quick and spacey.
They just don't care about what you want period they could have easily done a ss version rear or all wheel drive just don't get chevy these days they have no balls over there it's a dam shame would have been a great car
I can't believe they stopped making the Impala. I bought the 2 LTZ in 2014. It is the best car I've ever owned, even over the Corvette. I settled for the 6 cylinder and got used to it. I had a 2007 Impala SS with an eight cylinder FWD. It was a rocket. Loved the acceleration but it didn't ride as well as the 14 LTZ. I'm not going down to a 4 or 4 turbo that they are pushing with the Caddy CT5. They said that there is no market for cars. Everyone wants a SUV. It's funny that the foreign cars are selling well. Now they have even more sales with the Impala discontinued. Can't figure GM out. Every time they have something good they discontinue it and start over again.
American car company's always seem to make these bad decisions. Killing the cars people love like the impala and the Chrysler 300. And they continue with the crap cars like Chevy Malibu and so on.
so you're a chevy kook, the 2007 impala ss FWD v8 is a goofy silly product. It sounds like you almost exclusively buy chevy. LOL yikes, expand your horizons more please.
I bought a 2019 Impala Premier, thinking it was the last model year. Good thing I did. For 2020, Chevy offered fewer exterior colors and only black interiors. My car is in Blue Velvet Metallic with a Wheat interior. But, GM believes no one wants a car. Chevy dropped the Impala and the Cruze. Buick dropped the LaCrosse and the Regal. Buick is all CUVs, while Chevy has only the Malibu, the Camero, and the Corvette.
I got a hold of a 2012 Chevy caprice 6.0 with the L77.. it was only sold to police departments and I was lucky enough to buy it off a retired cop. A true 4 door sedan with a nice big v8. It’s a shame they never made the impala with a v8
Rear seat room beats out any other sedan you will find. Great car. But like any other , there could have been improvements. I'm happy every time I drive mine. The makers never seem to do the improvements that would put it above all other cars.
Robert: I bought my 2014 new in the silver topaz paint trim. That, along with the champagne silver, is no longer available. I have really liked mine - the only problem I had with it was a couple years back when the defroster fan went out on it and I had to have a new one installed. Other than that, the car has been doing fine. But then again, I've only put 25K on it, but it's been great so far. Have no plans anytime soon on selling it or trading it in, especially since they won't be in production any longer.
@@rexspangler4641 well , we can all thank the Obama administration for that . The government made it to where a fleet of vehicles had to have a certain average mpg across the board and that's when they stopped taking risk.

Bad thing to phase out the Impala and keep making the Malibu. I recently testdrove it (Impala), but unfortunately the salesman was a pushy, arrogant, talker who whatever comment I made he Iimmediately retorted with a comment of his own about his family members' liking or disliking the particular feature I was alluding to But when I introduced the packages and accessories, he didn't seem to know anything about it. This guy really disrupted the test drive. The car itself is very well equipped, especially the Premier trim, which I didn't drive. Comfortable with good ergonomics, smooth driver, great pickup while keeping out road imperfections. Too much digital stuff, pressing buttons to access fearures. Some drivers may get into the habit of pushing buttons while driving and that may cause accidents. Forget about the price of 40K as it'd be very easy to get the car for quite a bit less. Dealers don't want Impalas on their lots and can't seem to get rid of them fast enough.
I'm sorry but GM needs to clean house with their PR department. This car just didn't get its praise as it should have. Should have given Honda and Toyota a run for their money
Want to know why it's gone? Because it was a classic V8 car that turned into a utilitarian vehicle. It has a $40,000 price tag, now compare that to my 2020 fully-loaded Kia Optima that cost me $27,000. Now let's compare warranties LOL
There’s no USB ports in the back seats just a regular power outlet and 120 volt AC outlet and no heated back seats. those features were just not available on the impala.
Just rented a sonata that stickers for $32k and also had the choice of an Impala, after sitting in the Sonata you think the Impala is made out of ancient technology. The Sonata got 45 miles to the gallon with good power and effortlessly did a 115miles an hour through the western plains.
@@kenneth5064 I'm sure it could keep up with the speed. However, as a rental vehicle, which it seems most Chevy's are, they aren't even competitive anymore. I'd pick the new shiny imported rice burner every time. 184 133 On our 1,200 mile road trip the Impala, at its rating, would have used $185 of gas where the Sonata, at its rating, used $135. Thats an extra $50 in my pocket right there 😁 and that's just one of the many factors that led me to choose it over the Chevy. But it's good to have choice and it sounds like your glad they still keep Chevy in the fleet.
