What about the child i dont live with in my current marriage but living with her mother but the mother is ok with me adding the child in application together with my current family with all process in place. Is there any document like affidavit of support of the child in question enough or will need further documents please advise.
That is fine if it's your former wife you will only need written consent from the mother since even if you divorced the kids are still yours.I have a friend who did the same and got the visa last year🙏
What if for example you are married and you are selected and may be you do not want to migrate with them may be because of financial issues do you still go with them to the embassy for the interview and will the dependents also go through medicals
If you do not wish to travel with your family you can have them excluded from the interview and they do not need to prepare (medicals) or follow you to the interview but you have to inform the consulate of these changes. However in some cases you can explain it to the consular officers before your interview but in such so that you can be directed on how to proceed incase the decision was last minute. In such a case it's good to have them with you to avoid any inconveniences.Normally this usually needs to be indicated in the ds260 form unless there are unavoidable issues that come up.In the case of their documents you must provide them as instructed wheather your family is travelling with you or not🙏🙏
No it shouldn't be but you should consider having it corrected by Knec incase you are selected or take your admission letter with you as a supporting document.Incase you are not sorted in good time by Knec you might have to swear an affidavit explaining the disparity AND also request for a certified copy of the certificate from them. You can even request for a letter from your school Incase none of the above is available by the time you attend the interview.Inshort do whatever you can to avoid hitches and doubts at the interview and also carry as much supporting docs as you can on every issue.Kindly DO NOT ignore this advice unless you are assuared otherwise by a trusted applicant or beneficiary who has attended the INTERVIEW with a case SIMILAR to yours and been awarded the visa or disqualified on other grounds besides the certificate..The cert is a primary eligibility document in Dv lottery and it should not be in dispute.Prepare well and all the best 🙏🙏
Hey thanks for your query the stepchildren should be included in your application only if you are legally married to spouse who came to the union with the child or if it you get an adoption order through a court process.Without either of those you the step kid/s cannot be inclusive in your case.If you have a marriage certificate you don't require the adoption papers🙏🙏
@@eddysasaEddy point taken but what of yes you get married to a woman that comes in with a child then go ahead and legally married obtain the marriage certificate then when DV application the hubby had a child but not staying with and includes the child of which the mum agrees to the idea plus the other kid whose is not biological but he's been taking care of for years as his own in this case what do you need as a supporting documents about the two (the two kids) scenario when the results are out and you won and you need to go ahead with DS 260 because in first application you included them plus there mother who is legally married to you.
Hellow. Edday... Am not legally married but I have a daughter and my "husband " is applying too.. should he indicate that he has a daughter? The daughter's birth certificate has his father's name.
The child is a must in both cases she must be included in both applications wheather you are applying under married or unmarried. In your case if you intend to travel together as a family you can either apply as married and proceed to process a marriage certificate as soon as you can so that you can include any details that may be required on the next step (ds260) incase you are selected.Otherwise you may also apply separately then proceed to marry upon which you will still be able to update the details on the ds260 to include your spouse incase either of you is selected as a winner. This is my most preffered method of application because incase of any unforseen issues in obtaining a marriage certificate one of you and the child will still be eligible for a Visa. You may come back for marriage and petition for your spouse under a different Visa category🙏🙏Hurry and apply 🙏🙏
Hi if you have not changed your name officially to include his then there is no problem..I hope that your name is still the same on your mrrg certificate. Most people change their names during marriage. You should enter the names on your birth certificate or passport in the order instructed 🙏🙏
Depends on a afew things like what docs you have and your home country since rates for different services are different.Check the pinned comment for a rough idea of the breakdown otherwise and individual might spend upto (Ksh200) depending on the preparations they have to undertake🙏🙏All the best..
Yes you will add them on the ds 260 so that they can be included in your case you will have to bring the marriage certificate to the interview since the consular officer will be able to access the form online.Your spouse too will add you to his case Incase he is selected. All additional information is captured in the ds260.You cannot talk to the co directly.
@@esthernjoki2217 Hello no no Esther a wedding is a wedding..by the way there is a difference between a wedding and marriage.A wedding is a CEREMONY which might be held in church, mosque, home or at the AG'S office while a marriage is a MARRITAL UNION between people who are considered to be husband and wife otherwise known as spouses.A mrrg certificate is a legal document that (depones) formalises the legality of such a union. Therefore the type of wedding you decide to do is not important as long as it is in line with the laid down cultural and legal procedures and can be recognized under the law. What it then means is that if you are in marriage and have not done a religious wedding (church/mosque) it is easier to assume that you are married under customary law since at some point the two families might have met, held talks in regards to your union and probably exchanged some form of dowry and the two of you pronounced as husband and wife.In such a case you may proceed to register your marriage at the AG'S chambers but keep in mind that there are steps that should be taken legally for you to be awarded a mrrg certificate under customary marriage. We will do a video on the same later so stay tuned🙏🙏
Huyo mtoe kwa hesabu kabisa he does not qualify apply as unmarried but include children and write their names as they are on the birth certificate even if they have his name.Make sure you write them in the correct order as directed by the instructions..Best of luck 🙏🙏
