Okay, so here's the deal, it's all out of sync, the later parts as well. Yes, this sucks. No, it is not the end of watching Hansie Teeuwen online. Open a second browser window with the same video, mute the one you're watching and have the second video run the sound just a second or half a second slower. It's best to drag the tab to your taskbar to make a different window, then drag that smaller window with the sound-clip over the muted vid-clip, make it easy to click Calibrate a bit and enjoy!

You can not expect that he will be a major hit outside of the Netherlands after so long only doing shows in Dutch. This was new to him. And not Dutch people dunno his style yet because their probably is no1 like him on the earth. We Dutch have already become habituated to his style. But it will probably take some more time outside the Netherlands cause we are just a small country.
this is exactly what the joker brought up. Hans talks about genocide and they’re all laughing, he says there’s nothing funny and they’re all laughing. When everyone is laughing it’s a comedy but when everyone is silent it’s a tragedy.
Interesting improvisation at that, it could be Shönberg at first, it's pure 20th century music for a while. Then he's just taking up rock 'n roll with well... random chords?
There is no such thing as 'the best comedian' its just a matter of taste. And besides, if he isnt the most popular one in Holland, why was his show sold out in less than a few hours? It was madness, couldnt get a card.
Who said he's Hollands most popular comedian? I'm from Holland and I don't think he is, really. He's one of our more weird and alterntive comedians. If you'd like to broaden your scope and look up real popular comedians from Holland.. Look up the likes of Andre van Duin, Theo Maassen, and Toon Hermans... shame the're all in Dutch ;-) Shame...
Apart from Theo Maassen, those are really old-fashioned comedians. I would hardly call them the most popular. In our grandparents' time all right, but even as you wrote this comment seven years ago they were well old school. Also, the name of the country is The Netherlands, not Holland.
If I could describe Hans in four words they would be... Unforgettable. Legendary. Brilliant... and Genius.
This Dutchman gives new meaning to the word "funny"!
@Majestic Squid Nederlands, Tanden, Sokken en komiek ( just a random Dutch guy).
Your expectations where to damn low!
i unironically enjoyed all the piano business at the beginning
First part was improvised believe it or not!
@@godfrieds2078 actually i do
Dutch comedians use piano a lot.
@@the_court_jester666 you're telling me the dutch have big pianists?

I have watched a couple of his videos and so far I fail to understand the idea. What is the funny thing about his comedy?
I never brag about my country (Holland) but this is a gem !!!
Holland is geen land

I'm 90% sure the movie the Joker was inspired on Hans Teeuwen lol

@@SamuelWelten HE DOES wow I just noticed that

@@tomz5704 Hans Teeuwen was like this long before Heath Ledger's performance though. He's an absurdist and confrontationalist. Very Dutch.

Kinda sounds Jazzy mixed with madness and chaos, which is kinda Hans' personality.
Victor Borge meets Andy Kaufman with a touch of Bill Hicks.
He's from the province of Brabant. Look for 'van Gogh's' "De aardappeleters"
I like how the first one mildly resembles music.
Anyone know the name of the piano piece? Is it his own composition?
its his own
He also played Kabouterwasje later on. u must see the original one, its longer and get crazier at the end ua-cam.com/video/8_JxhWVDDYk/v-deo.html
Well that fix is as simple as genius :D
Is he... the Joker?
Yes
The original joker
