It would have been nice if the camera would have focused on one player per “round” and the focused player would have talked through their choices so that we could have gotten a better glimpse into each players’ tactics. And you guys are great.
These simultaneous turns aren’t really my cup of tea cause I can’t keep up with everything that’s happening all at once. And also, I just love to watch your long videos. These turns make it all end so fast!
Honestly I felt the same way before trying it. In general I’m not a fan of simultaneous turns in any game but this game is fun. Definitely the kind of game you can’t just watch, not very entertaining that way. Mind you it’s incredibly light, but I would recommend giving it at least a play if you ever get a chance.
Interesting to see a number of negative comments. I played this a couple of times back at BGG Con and it was probably my favorite game of the con. It might be one of those experiences that is more than the sum of its parts. Really fun. Cant wait to get a copy of my own.
Simultaneous play is one of my favourite mechanics. These sorts of games are great to hear about though do sometimes struggle in this format - unavoidably, no one’s fault. It’s one I’d love to give a try.
You do count ALL cards at the game end not only building cards. copy from rules After finishing the last turn, each of you checks how many cards you did not build: Count all cards in your hand, and all cards in your draw stack and discard pile. The player with the least number of unbuilt cards wins Fine Sand! In case of a tie, the tied player with most coins wins the game.
Smolle, the only cards we didn't count were the coin cards. The rules say count the cards you didn't build and since you don't build your coin cards they shouldn't be counted. Besides even if you did we would all be 4 cards higher. Thanks for the note and for wacthing.
This is the type of game you have to play with fair and honest people. In other words, a good gaming group. That is fine because most gaming groups are a collection of fair game enthusiasts, but every once in a while you get that one person who really can't stand losing and it just ruins the experience by cheating to win. This games seems too easy to cheat in, a huge pet peeve of mine.
Dave did the same thing the turn before. I think that's the real reason for that marker. "Oh, I've drawn extra this turn so I can't build." Because obviously, if you can do both of those actions, it's way too powerful.
There is interaction in sending cards to other players. So less a "solo game you play with other people" than the 100 meter dash in the Olympics is. :)
Nice gameplay, but I don't like this game - that's a first from the games you've featured on the channel :) But we do not need to like every game right? Cheers to all!
@@boardgamegeek i watched way back then a game where you simultaneously shake a box filled with like snakes and spiders and ghost thingies i cant remember the name and whoever gets their thing out first wins, that was fun to watch. Possibly the difference here was I wanted to know what was on your guys mind while your doing your actions. Because the game is a strategy game and not a frantic, dexterity or speed game it made the game look messy in my eye. I liked it when Rusty took his turn solo but when everyone was doing their turns at the same time, I was not able to cath up what was going on. Just my 2cents. Thanks Lincoln for replying 😊, I have watched all your gameplays and I wish you can play Roll Player here.

The simultaneous seems really bad in this game. I don't expect to play it, but if I did, I'd probably just do turn orders.

Great video as always - will be at Spiel19 in Essen and hope to see some GameNight!/ BGG folks there...
Love the shirt Lincoln. One of the coolest Star Wars shirts I've seen in a while.
Thanks! That was a Christmas gift from Nikki. I believe she got it from TeeTurtle.com. Thanks for the note and for watching.

Only played one game so far, i just bought the game but we like it very much.

@@heccubus1 Well you can dump money cards to give to the next player on your last turn if you want.
Did Nikki play 2B, draw and then build in the same turn at 21:20?

21:26 I think she couldn't do this action because she did 2B action already.

Can anyone tell me where I can get those game title posters that are behind them at the start of every episode (like, 0:30 in)
You can find them in the geek store on bag. Or just google “bgg board game posters” and see first post.
@@TyvanTV YOU ARE THE MAN!!! Thank you.
You guys should play "Dead of Winter"
This seems like four games of solitaire with very little interaction. It's not my cup of tea, but I can see how the individual's game interesting.
Did Lincoln cut his hair and dye it?
Nope. I do need a hair cut but I haven't dyed my hair for decades and I only did it once. -Lincoln
Think it might be the different saturation in this video. Hopefully Lincoln won’t dye the hair pink 😁
So this is a solo game that u play with other people? Everyone just plays by themselves?

Yes, we need to like every single game they play. Sounds to me like you broke the code.
I was gonna bring it yday for us to play!
@@fingerK4 maybe trying it can change my mind ... but I doubt it :D
@@Sam-vk8xd oh no! :D
This is possibly the worst short game I have seen them play. They normally select good games but this ain't one if them
I’d rather play San Juan
this is not fun to watch you guys doing things simultaneously makes it feel like nothing is happening for a reason, Magic maze was fun though
I understand but we really love the game and wanted to show it. Thanks for the note. -Lincoln

yeah that was it. That was simultaneous actions yet its fun to watch unlike this one.
A hard pass. Next.
Man. 2F needs to hire a better artist.
Wow what a dull game to watch. Maybe it's better to play. A dud video imho as simultaneous play just doesn't really work as a viewer experience
I understand but we really love the game and wanted to show it. Thanks for the note. -Lincoln
Pretty much no strategy In this game. Build green if you can’t then build red. No meaningful decisions.
Wow. *Way* too many rules. That explanation took forever. If you guys can take all that in and it make sense then good for you, but I got lost.
