Crossed chain sennit paracord bracelet

In this tutorial I demonstrate how to tie the "Chain sennit" or "Crossed chain sennit" paracord bracelet.
This is a fun design basically consisting of a number of cow hitches.

Turned out really cool... used red a d blue for the main two,colors and then sewed in white down the center to make it look like the Stars and Stripes... well, you know what I mean... :)

I've been thinking about using this pattern to make a belt. But I have a question.
I'll be using a standard belt buckle and there won't be an actual end-piece to go with (like the ending piece of the bracelet as shown). Any suggestions that I can go with??? Also,.....going with what is there......how wide is the overall finished product??? I'm looking for something to make a shoulder strap for a bag.
