Nice ride, there is a comment ref battery and you state the upgraded battery is good for 4-6 hours, is this battery the now std lithium battery or a 3rd party upgrade? I’m keen on the Sur ron as it looks more comfortable for trial riding, how do you find the Oset comfort wise on a long ride? Thanks
The battery is a custom build, 3rd party upgrade. Depending on rider weight, terrain, ambient temperature it lasts 2-3 times longer. I like the sur-ron, it's a weapon. But comparing the 2 is not really fair. They're totally different disciplines. If your after longer more comfortable rides at higher speeds, such as these sort of trail blast type rides, the sur-ron may be the better option. For us, it's more the slow technical trails and obstacles that's preferred. Think trials/hard enduro. 15-20 miles on the Oset and you're finished.

One final question, how close do you think your custom battery is to the latest Oset Lithium supplied battery on the 24R? It’s impossible to get info from Oset. My son has the 20Lite with lead and it’s terrible, hoping to get a 20R Lithium in the future for him and that’s supposed to be really good so maybe the 24R latest is similar.
@@martinduggan6143 Yes, i agree, the solution is to have both. That would be nice. I have both the 2017 Oset 24r and the newer 2020 Oset 24r, Both were supplied with lithium batteries as standard from Oset. Which i believe is the battery now supplied with the Oset MX10 and the new 20R Lithium bike. It is 20 ah and 53V fully charged. My custom battery is 58V and 26 ah. The numbers are all pretty close, but in the real world the Oset battery isnt in the same league as the custom build. We get up to 2 hours from the standard battery. This video was recorded while using upgraded batteries and I don't actually know how long it will go for. 4-6 hours maybe more depending on terrain, ambient temperature etc. For trail riding such as this I use around 75% on the power settings. Just enough to lift the front easily but keeping constant voltage a little lower which keeps the motor running cooler and gives more range.
Hi. Yes it's possible, we had 20.0r before these and rode most of the same trails. Jumping is a little more difficult as they're less stable airborne and the smaller wheels get caught up a little more, but still a lot of fun.

Could you guys have done these trails on an Oset 20.0? If you couldn't or wouldn't want to, then what would be the reasons?
