- Hey Everyone,
I hope you're ready for Part 3!!
We set off from Shell Island with Breakfast in sight!
After stuffing our faces, we were headed towards the Brecon Beacon Campsite.
Along the way, we got to experience a wonderful Barmouth Bridge that was so cool! If you haven't travelled over the bridge, its a definite MUST.
All day we had wonderful weather on our side, perfect riding conditions!
I was soooo gutted that the camera didn't record straight after Bala Lake as we had the MOST fun, literally crying in our helmets with laughter! Hey ho, there are still plenty of good moments that I was able to capture :)

Great little guest house in Barmouth just beyond where you did the U turn to the bridge called Lawrenny Lodge who welcome bikers with off street parking, nice rooms and do a lovely breakfast.

Well I've enjoyed the camping trip vlog through, Wales. The coastal road was absolutely amazing, Britain has so many beautiful scenic spots to visit or ride through. I've gotta say, riding over the wooden bridge was great, so beautiful. Here in, Australia, the nanniest of nanny country's, they'd never let you ride over that bridge. Barmouth rail bridge! It's on my 'to do' list. I've been over the rickety wooden toll bridge further up the estuary a few times.

Was over the Barmouth bridge last week , lovely area and no average speed cameras
I road hours once to get to Barmouth Bridge with my 9 year old on the back of my kawasaki versys x300, it was a beautiful day and we had so much abuse from walkers we didn't bother to cross the bridge, I pointed out to them it's part of the trans European trail(TET) but to save the peace we turned around but we still had a great day. Thanks for the videos Kate.

@@UsernameKate was a long time ago to remember much, probably going too fast (No speed cameras like today 😁 ) roads were smoother. Always a beautiful ride weather permitting.

We were lucky because all of our backs kinda rested on the pillion seat, so it wasn't as painful as it looked 😁

If you think that the walkers gave you dirty looks on the bridge , you want to try taking a wrong turn in Germany and, ending up on a cycle track! Every cyclists seemed to be coming towards me and, every one looked like they wanted me to die! Lol.

This is awesome. How has it taken me this long to find your channel. What a laugh. The village you pass through just after the bridge is where my auntie used to live (fairbourne) there is a little railways there and they are apparently going to be the first uk climate refugees as the whole village is built below sea level and the sea defences aren’t being improved any more due to costs.

Pennapool toll bridge just up the road last year £1
Just thought you might like to know - the TET goes over the Barmouth bridge. Years ago, when you got on at the Barmouth end, there was a toll booth which had a list of charges. The list included walkers, cyclists AND motorcyclists! I am told that the locals regularly motorcycle over the bridge so.... However, as you noticed, walkers glare at you thinking that you're riding illegally - but your not.
Hehe, everyone is so mad nowadays! 😊
On my.. I did this about six years ago on my Tiger 800 and it felt illegal then! 🤣

I went the other way and was coming up that steep incline up to the road and had to stop on it ..it was a little unsettling 😬😂

@@UsernameKate Not far from where i live i see (usually kids) on motorbikes acting dangerously and recklessly daily, doing the things we have all seen and tutted at, but the general public don't know or differentiate between a 'proper' biker and a fool, they only see someone on 2 wheels putting others in danger for their own gratification or selfishness. as both a cyclist and a motorcyclist i cringe when i see this, for example cyclists riding on pavements, passing any danger the may 'feel' down the line to the more vulnerable. It's totally your right to disagree, and you are not acting illegally here of course, but IMHO there's plenty of roads with more space to enjoy especially in wales, and that's my stance as it's not something i would do. GL
As it's not a Public footpath, and a legitimate right of way for motorcycles, I'm not sure what your problem is here? And we see idiot kids on public roads, parks and paths all over the country giving idiot kids a bad name, not motorcyclists....IMHO ....
