Recently did my 2012 Murano at 98k. Purchased with 82k with no history of fluid servicing. Dealership refused to service because I was too close to 100k. Drain and fill went smoothly. 10mm hex was a bit of a pain to get off...but PB Blaster and an extension pipe got it done. 5 quarts came out via drain plug...5 quarts went in via dipstick neck. Fluid was very dark brown...original fluid maybe?! No prior transmission issues or symptoms. Shifts smoothly just as it did before. Also replaced the external filter behind the driver's side wheel...not sure if this was necessary but it was cheap and convenient. Video was helpful!
Thanks! Yeah I called Nissan and they said not to do it as well and mine has 150k+ but it was acting weird so I went ahead and did it anyway. It seems much better now. And not issue knock on wood 😂. I think the main issue was the external filter on a lot of these. Best to change them for the peace of mind anyways. Cvt fluid needs changed or will destroy the trans from what I read. I’m going to change mine every 18-20k from now on. Probably just a drain and external filter. I’m glad the video helped!
Dang sorry to hear that. Sometimes I heard even if your baby them they still go bad. I just did mine hoping it will prolong it. Mine might have been changed before but idk that for sure. I don’t drive it everyday either so that helps too. They were just bad cvts.
Hi, thanks for this video.. my murano 2012 when I shift the gear from P to R it delay for 4 seconds sometimes when I am using it and I shift from D to R it takes 9 seconds.. Do u think if I replace the oil and the filter would affect my car ?
I’m in the middle of this job, can you send me where you bought the internal screen type filter from, I bought one from autozone but the tube is too long so the pan doesn’t fit back.
Mine was the same way. You have 2 options either cut the tube off to make it the same size as the old one or clean the old one out with brake clean really good. I cut mine a tad too short and didn’t want to risk it so I just cleaned the old one really well. It came clean pretty easy with break clean and a blower on the air compressor.

@ yeah it worked fine before hand so idk
The ATF temp count for this vehicle is 160 on a scan tool . Make sure its at this temp count to level off fluid.
After I did the video I realized this. I checked it and it’s seems to be smoother now. It’s better than it was before I changed it that’s for sure!
Were did you find the internal filter?

Not sure. If it hasn’t been changed it might help to change it.

Supposed to take 10.8
Hi, could you please help me to fund the parts number, I would really appreciate that
For what part?
YOU DO A LOT OF TALKING AND NO ACTUAL FOOTAGE OF HOW YOU LITERALLY DO REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT.
Bro you just take the bolts out. I tried to video that but you can’t see anything with my hands in the way so it was useless footage.
