A "Third Generation" for Violin and Piano

I call this style of composition a generation. Basically, I write something pretty for violin and piano. Then to generate the second movement, I swap out the melodic line in the right hand of the piano, for a new one, and use the old one for the violin part. Then I reharmonize bar by bar. The result is a new movement that feels organically connected to the previous movement because it contains much of the same material.
