Sweetie I have been binge watching your videos for a few weeks. I have not really commented but I have to today. I am in tears!!!! I am so happy for you. This reminded me of the first time I ever had a dishwasher. I was a single mom of 6 children and dishes were a real bumber for me and it took forever. I had also a nail fungus that I could not afford to go to the doctor and get cleared up. Every time I did dishes my thumb that had the fungus would bleed and hurt me so bad. It was a every night thing. Going to bed crying with my thumb throbbing. Someone gave me a portable dishwasher. I remember I broke down and cried so hard When I loaded it and cut it on because I never had time to sit with the kids and spend time with them before bed....I was doing all those dishes. A lot of dishes...My meals were homemade so lots of dishes. I know that doesn't compare to gardening but I know what that relief feels like. I am so very happy for you. God bless
Thank you for sharing Catherine! We pour so much of ourselves into what we do that when something comes along to make our job easier-- even just a little bit..sometimes the relief is overwhelming. Thanks so much for being here.
Who needs TV meteorologists when you flower farmers tell us what the weather is like? Monday, Laura at Garden Answer says it's really windy in eastern Oregon (and we know by now, wind = drastic temperature change). By Tuesday or Wednesday it's colder in Minneapolis. Then a day or two later in upstate New York you tell us how cold the lows are. 😊 Seeing you so happy with your new tool makes me happy. I got my David Austin BR roses yesterday and have them soaking. I would have planted them today, but got caught up in a project edging the garden with bricks and pea gravel. I'm adding bags (heavy bags) of soil to the area where I'll plant the roses and still have to blend it with the existing soil, then prepare the planting holes. Gardening sure ain't for sissies. I met up with my brother and SIL at our parents grave. Memorial weekend. They brought out folding chairs and we had a long visit. I asked if they'd do a drive-by to see my gardens (I'm just 2 miles from the cemetery) and they did! Even got out of the car and saw what I've been working on since last summer in back. My peonies are spectacular! My SIL even commented that I have way more buds than one in her neighborhood she's admired. I credit our cooler spring and lots of Espoma Plant-tone fertilizer. Now, go play in the dirt! 😁
I would have cried too! Actually, I did. I cried because you cried, lol. So happy for you, its so awesome when you have really great tools. Also, your husband is funny.
Working smarter instead of harder!! Forget the time it saves - SAVE YOUR BODY !!!!! YAY!!!! 💚💐🎉I'm SO HAPPY 💐🎉💚 you can now farm this way!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Save your body is right! I have always used wheelbarrows, dug out sod by hand, sifted out rocks by hand...not a sifter, literally with my hands. I always explained that it was how I stayed in shape. You need LOW impact to stay in shape. I now have issues with tendonitis and arthritis because I beat my joints to a pulp! I am only 52. Work smart is right! I now put down a double layer of cardboard on the lawn, then straw leaves grass clippings and tarp it. Next year your bed is ready to plant. I only remove rocks when I find them....don't go looking for them lol!
@@michellerose6721 exactly Michelle, I have similar stories about myself, and no longer can do all the things I want to do. I too am about the same age. We are so agile in our 30's, and believe hard physical work is a good thing. The reality is, hard physical labor takes a toll. I'm soooo happy Nicole won't be breaking her back doing those chores anymore. And you're right, the no-dig, cardboard method is one of the best ideas since sliced bread!! Hahaha! (Can't believe I said that!!)
Nothing beats the right tools for the job and great support especially when they are combined! I felt your joy and forgive you for making me cry lol. You could offer this joy as a paid service to others maybe ?!
You are a stone's throw from where my family lived for decades on Millers Woods Road. Takes me back to many memories. I miss that rich soil so very much. Best of luck with your new "toy"!
Hahaha. That's the main reason I enjoy watching your vlogs. You definitely wear your heart on your sleeve! Which is amazing! I think Brad Pitt is pretty darn lucky to have you as well! Just tell him how sexy he is when he's doing manual labor on behave of you & your family lol. Be Blessed & Continue Being A Blessing To Others! Ohhhh and in 10 to 20 years, your back will be thanking you for getting that machines as well.
I've been watching your channel for a while now and it has been such a pleasure to see you business grow and grow . Thank you for sharing your excitement and joy. I rooting for you
Yup- emotional is the right word. I felt it. Just seeing Nicole by herself and in the strange weather patterns working through to plant or prepare beds had me reminiscing about all the digging and planting of my past. I always welcomed extra help and still do. I have learned to let go of control and delegate better- matching their skill to the job I need done. But thank God for the experience. I’m so happy for her sense of gratitude and shared joy that new toy will bring to the flower farm. 💐
OMG 🥰 so happy for you. My rows are 55' it's just me, myself and I. I hand lay drip irrigation. Then hand trench with trenching shovel, roll out weed plastic, then on my hands n knees fill each side with trenched dirt. Takes me hours upon hours to do 7 rows. Can't imagine doing the number of rows you have. Happy dance for you 😊
Extremely happy to see YOU so extremely happy...and...that makes ME extremely happy...off to find my hanky...Loving all you share from North Idaho zone 6a 💚🌻🌿
Hopefully you can use that time you save on spending time on you. You are such a hard worker, you need time for you. You we're so many hats. Happy for your family.
Like buttah...amazing. congrats. Yes, that cost is minimal for the back and time-savings!!! It will pay for itself this year. Productivity, here you go...
*jaw drops and hits the floor* O.M.G. that is AMAZING!!! 😲 definitely worth the investment. One day! One day I will have that! And thanks to you I'll have an idea of what to look for. Thank you for these great videos!
You’re my spirit animal when it comes to crying 😆😆😆. I’m also a happy crier. I’m going to remember this for my future farm. This is just awesome. This makes me so happy for you.
Ohhh this got me crying too!! Living on a farm myself in southwest Wisconsin zone 4b, I am so excited to get my flowers going. I need to get one for my tractor! I'm happy for y'all! This is awesome!!!!!
So excited for you! Had me crying too. 🙏🏻💛💐👏🏻👏🏻 Sending you lots of love from up here in same zone in 🇨🇦🎚🙏🏻 Love your heart. We would be besties. 😋💛🙏🏻💐💐💐💐 Keep Growing! 🌱😍
You have a keeper in that Brad Pitt. Cherish your time together in the dirt giving life to such beautiful gifts that bring joy and smiles to all our lives. I am glad this piece of equipment is going to make your work easier. You are a testament to what hard work and a goal of doing what you love can achieve. Have a great growing season.
Nicole I literally just said you had better be crying because i shed a tear for you !! Amazing help on the farm. I am elated for you and your family !!!!
Hey Squirrel. It's like I told you, "Farming is a function of time at every level." And you my dear, just got a bunch of your time back. That has a value that you can't put a price on. I still say get a cooler next, b4 the hoop house, but that's just me. Congrats Nick. SFS
My favorite part is when you talk about your best tool. That's the way a marriage and partnership should be. Keep it up! We need more of that in the 🌎. 💜
Thx for the video. I've always wanted a bed maker. Try putting a scoop of dirt in your bucket and add liquid ballast (water and antifreeze) to your rear tires to add weight. It may keep your tractor from being pulled certain directions from bed maker.
$2,300! No wonder you cried when you saw it working! Your body just screamed out, finally! LOL what a great deal to save your energy for other things.❤
Congrats on the bed maker and new tractor! I will be adding one of those bed makers to my arsenal soon too! Make sure the R.O.P.S. (Roll Over Pretection System) is always up and you're wearing the seat belt. Safety is #1. :-)
That is an amazing piece of equipment. I know how excited you are and I can see why you would get emotional. What a time save!!! I cried too, just watching you and because I am happy for you.
It is almost midnight and here I am watching yet another flower hill farm video. Thanks for the amazing journey. I just want you to know that you inspired me to start my own flower cut farm and most importantly thank you for reminding me that just like you the most important tool and support that never fairs is my husband. Nothing without him and all because him.

So happy for you! You work so hard on your garden you need every break you can get. That Brad Pitt is what I would call a tinkerer so I am sure he enjoyed the new attachment as well.
Dear Nicole, I am so happy for you! You should be emotional, this thing saves hours and days of your time, of your life, sparing at the same time your health, and that makes it priceless! You two are a dream team:)))
