Nice. The extras in the Omnibuses (?) make them sooo tempting. It is amazing that a company that started only selling books constantly delivers damaged books. I have had the same problem. After 45 years of collecting i finally finished up my CTB 1-275 collection when I picked up issue #1. Thanks for the peak at the new Titan CTB Omnibus!
I never purchased any of the Marvel Omnibus’ so I made the leap to get the Titan version. I have most of the original Conan the Barbarian comics, still have about 20 of the early issues to get in order to complete the run; however, the omnibus is the best way to enjoy the art and stories without damaging my originals. The introduction by Roy Thomas was fantastic and all the extra content is so interesting. One thing I do like about the Titan version is that it is only Conan content. My Savage Sword Omnibus has not arrived yet, anxiously waiting for that to arrive.
I am team SSOC B&W all the way. No offense to lovers of the OG Conan Colored Comics, but I was swept away by the Savage Sword as a kid so much that it is etched in my mind as the best of the two. I am sure many people who started with the comics, feel the colored versions are the way to go. Your Kothian Cur of an Amazon person needs to be put into a Stygian Tomb for a night or two... then next time he will handle your boxes with more respect by Crom! LOL Always looking forward to your content. Usually watch just before bedtime... Have to save the best for last right? 😉 Stay Savage my friend! ~ Son of Crom
"Should I get this one or Savage Sword?"
You should get both!
Nice man, can't wait to get this :)
@@Wabin22 If only money grew on trees! 😂
@@StygianDogsWait.. so you don't have a money tree?
@@Wabin22 If I did, I'd share it with you brother! 😁
@@StygianDogsWhy thank you dog brother! That's mighty stygian of yee
Looks really good. I appreciate the love they gave long time collectors that already had the marvel books with the spine but I also find myself thinking they should have come up with something original for themselves. Maybe it'll be something they do for future reprints. Either way, I need to get myself some of these omnibuses at some point
Very pricey but so nice to have. Very true though...Heroic Signatures could certainly have opted to put their own mark on things, especially since the content mirrored the original publication (minus the non-Conan stuff). I suppose it was a nice customer relation touch. A mea culpa of sorts to existing collectors.
You won't need to leave the house until February 😆😆
Pretty much! 😂 And February coincides with a milestone birthday...ao maybe some more omnibus collections, me thinks! 😂
Gotta return it. They’re pretty good but no guarantee they get it right the second time. They never make adjustments to packaging
😣 You're right. The SSoC was in a non-padded envelope. And this was in an oversized box with no filler. Like, don't you specialize in sending books? 🤔 Jerks.
@@StygianDogs Buy from Organic priced books instead
I hope they reprint the old dark horse run as well.
@@jasonsantos3037 Oh man, yes! It'd be so nice to have those in Omni versions! 👍⚔️
The end papers they're doing is a nice touch, but i can't justify duplicating the Marvel editions. Roy Thomas did construct a chronological order to the Conan stories so there is proper continuity from issue to issue. Issues 6-11 follow one connected story as does issues 17-26, an so on.
Yo ya completé mi colección de Conan the Barbarian en la versión omnibus de Marvel, supongo que éstos de Titan contienen el mismo material
Correct. You won't be missing anything in the Marvel versions...and you actually have more content than what is in these. 👍⚔️
I bought the Marvel CtB omnibus a few years ago and it does not seem like there is enough new content to justify purchasing the Titan version. I still might, though, because I got stuck with the subpar retail art dust jacket instead of the direct market BWS cover. Roy's Barbarian Life books are excellent and a must read if you are a fan of his first run at Conan. I was a bit disappointed though by the rather scant coverage of his SSoC runs and second CtB run. The final chronological Marvel Conan story is Conan the Savage #10 and it ends on an unresolved cliffhanger. I would like at least a summary on how it was supposed to end. Maybe they will let Roy write a story for the new SSoC and he can tell it there. As much as I like these Omnibuses, they are met to be placed on a table - flipping a page at a time and not convenient like a softcover TPB. I wish they would make cheaper TPBs as well like Darkhorse did.
Damn, sucks that it arrived so damaged! Definitely get a new one if you can.
I will cry when I place the return in the mail... 😢
A primeira tiragem lançada aqui no Brasil está esgotada, espero que a Panini faça uma nova impressão
Crossing my fingers for you Dog Brother! 🤞⚔️

I would get SSOC. If I had to pick.
I lean this way too! I know some people don't dig the B&W...but it's pretty darn special.
Savage sword takes place after the conan omnibus volume 1?
Nope. They were published as separate titles, with Savage Sword allowing for more sexiness and violence since it wasn't under the purview of the Comics Code Authority. In the early years, it did a fantastic job of presenting many of Howard's original stories.
@@StygianDogs is it black and white illustration or colors ?
Savage Sword is beautiful B&W. 👍
Heard you’re waiting for your colossal conan artist’s edition. Just like i am, so do you know anything i don’t haha

Guessing if everything looks good it'll be just a few months out. The book looks amazing. (I actually couldn't afford it at the time of the crowdfund...hoping to grab a copy if I can. Heard rumours of a second printing too!)
Too bad they don't adjust the coloring. The color in the original books on newsprint was not garish and bright.
What's interesting is that the colour in those 3 issue mini collections is pretty vibrant. I suspect that the glossy pages exaggerate the colours too, even if just psychologically. But yeah, I hear you. Must be a balancing act for them.
disappointing ship... I'm still waiting for mine (with the issue 24 cover) ... hope it comes soon.
Sucks they fell asleep on the digital versions.
