Great idea hanging your tray from the roof in the greenhouse!! I am now wondering how many you can fit!!! Those broccolis look so big! They are gorgeous. Nice beetroot, I really need to grow some next year. Your sister really has a lovely set up. Beautiful sunset! Such an amazing pond! 😘🌸💕
I can fit more trays of beans than I could ever want to eat 🤣🤣 I’ve seen people do hanging trays for peas/beans from polytunnel crop bars too, something you could try. 😀 We’ve been to a garden centre together today. I need to make a video of the haul of bulbs I’ve just bought… as if the 300 I’ve already planted weren’t enough 🤣🤣🤣
Your plot usclooking fantastic. I am sure you will find fresh broad beans completely different to canned ones. I won't say they are my favourite vege but they do make a nice change in season, and dan be prepared in a variety of ways. Keep up the great videos. I am really enjoying them.
Fingers crossed! I’m giving them the chance based on how differently other vegetables taste that we’ve grown so far. Reassuring to hear this philosophy looks set to work with broad beans too. Thank you ☺️☺️ Happy growing
I do have scissors but they keep being moved between the greenhouse (on the garden) and the polytunnel (in the new plot) need to get myself to a second pair to keep outside. S-hooks wouldn’t be a bad idea. Thank you
😂😂 sorry mom, I am going to try the double blanching like Jessie does and she has some really nice recipes for them. It is a lovely feeling to get seed to ground isn’t it. Now you’ve mentioned it of course he will make you a frame Clare. I think side ways is to avoid flat side getting too wet 🤷♀️. Great idea with the trays 👍. I bought Gerald a weather station a few years back he loves it. Wow Feb drought I think instead of putting the clocks back we need to put the calendar back. First year growing PSB for me too and I have heard it takes a long time and yes they are quite large plants. I’m going to try golden beets and roast them. Pretty ❌ functional ✅. Great video Clare and ahhh sunshine 🌞, have a super week, Ali 🌧️🌬️🇨🇦
I would opt for just putting the calendar forward to next year now 🤣 Will look up Jessie’s cooking method for them. The one time I tried them, I was probably about 8. I didn’t used to like peas back then.. they were like little tor-pea-dos 🤣🤣 I love peas now. They’re going to feature heavily next year .. remind me of this enthusiasm when I’m shelling them please. 🤣 I did think I had heard to plant them on the side but, naturally, the vegetable bible I use was in the house 🤣 Hope you’re warmer this week. We have wind forecast tomorrow 😩
Great idea lifting the pot in the green house, February the dtiest month thats mad with the way the weather is it'll probably be the hotest next year 😂 psb looks good i did it outside (thought it wak kale 🙈) didn't have any trouble till i put the new polly cover on then it got to hot, them lettuce look lush 😋 send some sun down here its misserable storm after storm, fab vltig clare 🥰
It’s the same here. Rain, wind and more rain. Brief moments of sun but they are fleeting and soon replaced by biblical rain. Worried about my fig tree as water keeps pooling where it is planted. Never seen the fields so wet in the 23 years I’ve lived here. Fed up of it 😩😩 The brassicas certainly prefer to be cooler. That said, I’ve got some calabrese doing really happily in the polytunnel. Hope the weather improves for us all 🤗
@@sharon1615 I did try that but the water table is so high there’s nowhere for it to drain to. If it survives winter, we hope to put some drainage in the field to try to divert some surface water away, thus reducing the height of the water table in this low point in the plot. Such a pain.
Hi, where do you buy your bulk seeds from? I’ve purchased 5 beds with greenhouse things on the top ready for next season and was disappointed with my recent purchase from DT Brown. Do you have any recommendations please? Your garden is looking incredible ❤️ Wishing you all the best
Hi I mostly choose Mr Fothergills in local garden centre or use Kings Seeds for bulk orders online. Premier Seeds are another I’ve occasionally used but I’m not fond of their packaging. I have just ordered some lovely specialist chilli seeds from Red Dragon Seeds and some gorgeous tomato varieties from Tomato Revolution. Not grown their seeds before but am very excited to try next year. Good luck with your next season too. It’s addictive!
Magnifique bravo 😊
A bientôt
Merci 😀

S hooks make hanging things up easier. I keep scissors hung by the door, so they don't get buried!

@@TheFarmyardGarden could you try putting a fork in around the other edge to help drain away ? Hope it gets sorted 🥰
