- We have been mega busy doing a thousand different things. If I tried to share it all your heads would spin. We are focused to get our shop / barn built as much as we can before we return to the Philippines to further our house building project and winter out there. I built my truss for center of the main building and show steps I took to make it strong and the method I choose to put the clips on it. My Uncle came with one of his cranes and set the truss for us. Now we can move forward again on getting this building dried in. Follow us as we share our dual life of living in the USA in Texas on a homestead farm and in the Philippines on the coast. Accepting each others culture.

It was 88 degrees here yesterday with a real feel of 97, just saying lol. I like these build videos. Obvious that youve been doing this stuff for a heck of a long time. Totally cool.

Looks awesome. I been wanting to build one but my lot is to small so may use my lot across town. I'm debating if to go with a slanted roof one direction or if to build like this. I will be using 5" sch 80 pipe for post also so limited on height.

Q: what rods are you using? 7018 1/32?
How far apart do you put the steal clips from each other?
Different places have different load requirements. Snow load or Hurricane force. Mine are on 4 foot.

I welded that with 6011 - dont use 6013 because it is too mild and soft.
