It's amazing how they can keep their eyes closed, spin so much and not get dizzy or off balance. So skilled.
I kind of feel like they do get dizzy but use that dizzyness to achieve a heightened state of consciousness.
@@shayneoneill1506 I am not Sufi, but my belief is that different cultures use dance to reach altered state, or opening oneself to spirits.
It's why they tilt their heads, to offset the dizziness
@@shayneoneill1506 it is a meditation

Is there anyone after sufium sujathayum...and was really waiting to see these sufis to whirl on one thumb🙈🙈

Such Sufis are not in Kerala I think
Yes
@@unnikuttan6427No, They are of Mevlevi Sufi order. Disciples of Mevlana Rumi. His mausoleum is in Konya, Turkey.
Kerala has many other Sufi orders like Qadiriyya and Ba'alavi.
As a former dancer, I can say that doing this is EXTREMELY difficult. To do so with precision, for extended periods of time, and still be able to go in a straight line is astounding.
I should really consider recording myself doing this same thing just with my headphones in and moving at much higher rotation speed, I can maintain my spinning for around 40-ish minutes or so depending on how long I want to go and to make it even funnier I do this in a medium sized kitchen and have been for the last 16 or so years. Have you ever heard of frission? If you combine spinning with frission and head tilting while spinning you can make yourself have this incredible sensation that is difficult to describe. I think I might actually record myself doing this, lol.
I don’t think you need to be a dancer to know how disorienting this is! 😂
Ok scarlet
@son beste I'll read it when I want to learn to kill all infidels and abuse kids. Mohammed was a pedo rapist. Facts.

Absolutely mesmerizing! The Sufi Whirling Dervishes of Istanbul exhibit such a profound display of devotion and skill. It's fascinating to see this centuries-old spiritual practice performed with such grace and intensity. The video really captured the serene atmosphere of the performance. Thank you for sharing this unique aspect of Turkish culture with us.
Stuff like this makes me cry. Idk why. It's bot just this culture. It's all cultures or religious people that held onto the older traditions and idk. It's just.... it makes emotional
i try this .this called is Hadra . your soul will fly and you will cry.it is the best thing i tried
Get a grip of yourself
Me too. I think it's just the beauty of the tradition. It's very emotional. I cried once when I went to a powwow and heard the tribe doing their chant and dancing. It was incredibly beautiful.
I think I know why , in a godless world it becomes overwhelming to witness godly devotion and faith, whatever Faith or devotion that is , what gets me is watching native people proudly taking part in ancient practices or traditions no matter where they are from, again because our world leaders are actively trying to remove it from humanity so it's overwhelming to see the defiance of those still doing ot

Just so incredible.
Beautiful!! Did you know that the Camel hair that their hats and rugs are made of may be collected during the six- to eight-week moulting season in late spring. ... Fibres are then washed to remove any dirt or debris before being spun into yarn suitable for weaving or knitting. The camels are not harmed.
Was honoured and priveleged to see Dervishes in Istanbul a few years ago, jaw dropping and beautiful... I'm not a religious man myself, but can't help feeling if other faiths celebrated with a bit more dancing n music, the brothers and sisters would be less likely to be shooting the shite out each other... Play nice boys n girls, and as the late, great Dave Allen would say... 'May your God go with you...' 😘🏴👍
World: nobody can spin around for hours
Derwish: hold my fez
They are people af allah they have friendship with allah
Derwishes don't wear fez, fez is not an islamic hat in fact
this comment funny because these dervishes imitiate world, other planets and basically all universe by whirling round. this is part of meditation in whirling:)

Yeah, but definitely not God. This has nothing to do with Islam, it came about after Islam.
@@zoomermcboomer4771 but God is inherent, it is form that changes.
@@markelbasabelopez5772
God is objective, humans are subjective. Once humans try to put their own subjective feelings and logic and apply it to religion this is where corruption comes from.
My point is that this form was never practised by those jn the early religion and the prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him said that every newly-invented matter in this religion is a misguidance, and every misguidance is in the hell-fire. So we are not allowed to make things up about Allah even if we believe it is something good.
@@zoomermcboomer4771 I understand your point.
And also, in my experience, new forms of touching, experiencing and living in communion with God have come through times.
I think a wise sage would approve them as long as they serve the purpose of living with God, and never of course for bypassing true responsibility and connection.
There are many ways to climb the mountain, and as long as they reach you to the top, they're useful.
This is why many have left Christianity in the last decades and moved towards Asian religions, because many Christian priests wouldn't let their adepts meditate and do other practices that are useful to live with God, but not contemplated by their paradigmatic view.
In my experience, the best way to find out if something's right or not in a case is to ask God directly and very humbly. Of course, you need to have cultivated a relationship with Him through time to be able to hear Him properly.
Blessings and peace, brother.

Why do they bow so much to eachother? What is the islamic verdic on that?
@@MrMuhammed33 this is not from islam, muslims from the salaf never did this. The scholars say its a Innovation and suffiyah is a path of misguidance
Whenever the Whirling Dervishes or Sufism enshrine their connection to Allah like this, narrow minded dogmatic Muslim people always come out of the woodwork to trash them. The men are Muslim people who clearly explain this is an act to commune 100% with Allah. (In another video) The dancer talks about sharing God’s love from the sky and the earth in the way the hands are held during this form of prayer, to all people. The point of Islam/faith should be about being filled with God’s love and to share that love with other living beings. It disappoints and depresses me over and over again when Muslim people trash these great Muslim practitioners simply because they seek a direct relationship with the divine that isn’t hierarchical or dogmatic. They bow to each other as a form of respect. Its non-Muslim people who seem to actually understand this and give them the respect & reverence they deserve. Spiritually Swirl On, Sirs.

In Turkey central and eastern provinces have highest ratio of oghuz turk decent
@@mehmetyilmaz2493 Assimilation does not work that way. It's not like you keep groups of vegetables in separate boxes in the same fridge.
It's a mix. Turkey Turks have Turkic genes in them among anything else and of all these ethnicities it is our right and actually ability to choose to stick with one.
Central or Western Asia are not "ethnicities". Comparing them makes no sense, when you break those genes down, 4-5 ethnicities stand out, one of which is Turkic.
The thing is, though, we are who we choose to be among all this. You see many Europeans who, although they are equally a mix of many things, call themselves x by nation, and jew by ethnicity, as if it was the only one that defines them. One needs to ask why this is so and why the hypocrisy in politically determining what you are and pseudo-scientifically telling others who they are. Western approach towards history, linguistics and even anthropology are laughably political AF, and warrants ruthless attacks.
And the fact remains:
Well we don't and won't give a flying fck about our genetic makeup, we are Turks of Turkey and we don't negotiate it.
I'll disown all my 4 ethnicities if some weasels think that's how they are going to divide my nation and conquer my country.
