What if musk's brain-machine interface is going to make it possible?
The thing is vibranium in wakanda is not used just as a metal it is also a power source for them so buckys arm is powering itself through the vibranium
He painted his arm to look like mgsv 😂
Y’all are crap for not giving us skippable ads
people seem to be forgetting that bucky is a super soldier that also had a advanced prototype arm, followed by a vibranium one, which for all we know is molecular-based vibranium, because wakanda knows thier stuff.
This, exactly. Being super soldier makes him VERY strong.
@@bryanaker4338 and durable which is why he doesn’t take damage when hanging on to the truck
yea they really annoying me with that
@@JPT_2007 Yes, also its all make believe 👀
keep lying to yourself
They're not considering hes a super soldier so he can punch through walls without his bones breaking
They also aren’t considering that this is a fictional show
As the MST3K theme song says "it's only just a movie, you should really just RELAX..."
@Tom Mccarthy if they considered he was a super soldier they wouldn’t start of the video say how the rest of his arm would get ripped off in the truck scene
Also, instead of absorbing energy, vibranium redirects energy, which is why the shield is incredibly bouncy. So with his current arm, he probably feels nothing
And he has exactly zero bones in his left arm to even break, lol.
9:38 Bucky does not recharge his arm because Vibranium can create energy, that is why Shury, Black Panther's sister, uses Vibranium as an energy source.
Daniel, who loves the Winter Soldier, doesn't seem to know that the arm is made of vibranium. An odd thing to forget or not know.
Vibranium can’t create energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only converted into another form. Vibranium is able to hold energy and then release it, though. That’s one of its unique qualities. The reason vibranium was used as an energy source is because the impact of the vibranium meteor hitting Earth made the vibranium supercharged with a lot of energy. The reason they are able to use it for energy is because the of the massive amount of energy the vibranium has due to the meteor and the way they use it.
Vibranium cannot create energy buddy
Its just an other metal which can dissipate the energy
Vibranium doesn't create energy. it stores energy and converts it.
It doesn't create energy it can store energy and redistribute it, they mentioned it in the film.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is one of the best shows I've seen this year

Ok
Interesting she mentioned that someone with a metal arm would be lopsided. There's a fan theory that Bucky's swaggering gait in CA:TWS is because of the arm's weight.
It makes sense, and then the vibranium is lighter. Which is why Steve is able to throw the shield so easily
don't forget, he is a super soldier like Captain America
Yeah
Yeahaa
There is a scene in Winter Soldier where Hydra manages Bucky's arm. We just don't get to see that anymore.

6:40 this shows, the writers really worked on a script that reflect reality (improve identification with the character). They really went "ethnographic" here. Very well done.
A bionic arm that can punch through walls is also highly weaponisable.
To be fair, Bucky doesn’t only have a bionic arm, he also had the super soldier serum. It helps when punching through walls.
@@merchillio lol. Since when did he have the serum. 😂😂😂

Read a comic or watch winter soldier 🤣
rememebr bucky isnt just using an advanced bionic arm, he's also a supersoldier enhanced. so he has super strength in his right arm as well and is super durable, etc. the arm doesnt make him strong. the arm gives him some extra benefits but he'd be like captain america (maybe a step or 2 below) even without the bionic arm
How about:
A Magician reacts to Doctor Strange.
A soldier reacts to Captain America.
A pilot reacts to Falcon.
An orc reacts to The Hulk.
A tree reacts to Groot.
A ghost reacts to Black Widow
A spider reacts to Spider-man
Coronavirus vaccine reacts to Super Serum
A Billionaire reacts to Bruce Wayne being Batman... C'mon man you're a Billionaire why aren't you out fighting crime with all the same gadgets.
A real duck reacts to Howard the duck.
These guys: "Nah most of this stuff just isn't possible in the real world."
The Hacksmith: "Aight bet!"
He just made a really cool gauntlet lol, too bad we never got to see him test it cuz he broke his hand
I’d think it’d be cool if bones from the opposite hand were 3D scanned, inverted, then 3D printed in titanium.
Apply some artificial skin and micro servos and sensors.
That might create a more robust and organic looking prosthetic.
Power sources are the bane of comic book tech. That's why Iron Man just has a magical arc reactor in his chest 😂
There’s nothing magical about it, it’s science
Magic is just the science we don't understand yet
-anyone
@@benjamin8348 Yeah, except infinite power generation is NOT science in any time period, because it breaks a fundamental law of physics :P
@@IceMetalPunk well....yeah
But what if our physics are wrong
@@IceMetalPunk its never said its infinite. Its just that it can go on for a reallllly long time.
They power it with a Stark styled mini-fusion core or more likely the much improved Shuri version.
They didnt take into account that Bucky is/was as strong a Captain America, the bionic arm was just to replace a lost limb, not to give him super human straight.
Bucky's arm is powered by PLOT, plot is a near infinite power source that takes up almost no space at all and is easily discarded when it becomes problematic :P
But the physicality of his body and the vibranium arm is explained though? How do you think Cap’s shield defies physics lol
@@L_Lawliet1907 Applying real world thinking and physics to a comic book universe doesn't really gel. The reason things work is because they need to for the story, not because they make sense, not because science explains it etc and that will always be the case. PLOT is always the answer to the why questions :)
Ahhh the old Handwavium most abundant of elements...lol
A man with a slow moving mechanic hand react to a enhanced military trained man with super durable and flexible moving metal arm.
The power source is simple, Vibranium can build up kinetic energy like for instance Black Panthers suit when he gets attacked the more he gets attacked he can then redirect that energy to create an energy blast. So with the arm it's simple he just have to be using it and it self sustaning.
So how was his old one powered then?
@@starstrikes After every mission, they would brainwash and work on his arm
@@elisabethvarghese5307 yes, but what powered it? because his old one wasn’t powered by vibranium. and Bucky was also on the loose for a looong time (civil war) and his arm was still at the same energy
@@starstrikes his arm don't use energy it's like conectetd to his nerves system meaning it's basically his normal he is also a supetsoldier
@@EmperorDxD but you are aware that something has to power the arm right? his real arm is completely gone, and his body can’t just produce electricity.
His arm has an arc reactor
1:01 no he won't, he is a super soldier 😂
Exactly
Seeing the attachment people get to their devices is really charming and heartwarming. Thanks for sharing this!
It would be cool to watch Open Bionics react to the automail from Fullmetal Alchemist if they already haven't.
Or react to the robotic arms in Devil May Cry V
If had any engineering expertise this would be the industry I'd want to work in. It's such an interesting technology and so incredibly useful for so many people.
What do you mean. You always can and maybe you will
Cool video, but Bucky is also a super soldier. Unobtainable goals right there
Came here to say this. His arm is just that, an arm. Most of what he does is thanks to the serum.
Soo glad someone said it plus his arm is made with a lot more resources than any bionic would be.
First Hydra then the most technically advanced nation in this fictional universe.
Nice to see such great design of bionic arms from Metal Gear Solid and Deus Ex.
The stuff about ripping his other limbs off from holding onto the road, and him being massively overbalanced by the metal on the arm: he’s a super-soldier with the same strength as captain America. His bones shattering isn’t an issue.
A nice possible explanation for the power source question is the link point in his shoulder. It could be powered by his own body as the human body is a rudimentary battery, or at least your blood is.
waiting for Nico from Devil May Cry 5 to present her "Work of Art".
"Cash FIRST!"
She would out all of them to shame 😂
Yes finally someone questioned what actually powers Bucky's arm
Technology.
My city Bristol lets gooooo!

Next up: A peregrine falcon reacts to Sam’s wings
Bucky's super strength comes not from his arm, but the fact that he is a supersoldier, getting Hydra's supersoldier serum, which was imperfect tho
-Bucky's arm doesn't need recharging as vibranium can also be used as a power source, which is undoubtedly tied in the design.
-The world's tech and knowledge lags behind Wakanda's.
-I appreciate how you mentioned the arm's weight, which would cause Bucky's torso to be stronger on one side if it weren't for the whole super serum thing.
This was a pretty cool video, thanks for doing it!
Such a great topic 🙌🏽
That was one of the coolest scene in the entire show
Maybe what his arm runs off his his own body bio electrical signals, considering he’s a super soldier his body and frame can manage the weight unimpeded by it weight factor at all. As well as those bio electric signals much stronger but also the arm prob has the ability to absorb energy much like black panthers suit so in turn when he moves the arm or taps his fingers all that energy is stored and used simultaneously. So it in essence is a watch that winds itself.
He charges it with USB Type C
And it's wakanda tech. It maybe charged with kinetic energy or something like that
Back when he had the silver titanium arm, you could see him leaning a bit to one side, so that one was presumably way heavier. Whereas this new vibranium one seems closer to actual body weight.
So awesome the way you are sharing with us is just that 💯so thank you 😊
The reason gamers ask for "super arms" is because they've never done without their normal arm. It's the difference between needing a tool, and WANTING a weapon.

really cool video and insight !
The brute force of the winter soldier don't come from the arm, but he's super soldier serum.
Love open bionics .. big fan of their work 👍❤️
The point people forget is that The Winter Soldier was given against his wishes the super soldier serum so the strength comes from that not the arm. The arm is an added weapon as Bucky lost his arm when he fell from the train in The First Avenger
Pretty cool how he brought the venom snake bionic arm to react to the scenes
People tend to forgot that the winter solider arm is some of the most advanced tech in the world. His 2nd arm from wakanda came from a country where it’s the most advanced country in the world. And Bucky is a super solider
Have they tried using the same gears as a watch to use in the fingers and also adamantine for the outward cover(its lightweight and hard/durable) and also you can program it with an onboard computer which you can fit in like a phone into the wrist area to help control the arms behaviours.another idea is to implement a dual crystal shaped fibre that you can strenghten by coiling it and its called crystalised tissue.spec ops use this method to break through bars by coiling a wet cloth or rope.
Bucky's arm gets charged by absorbing kinetic energy, similar to the black panther suit.

Would u lose an arm for it?
They found a n organism in the Potomic River that can be used to create bio-batteries so organic tech is on the way.
Maybe they found a way to charge the arm using Bucky's own Bioelectric current.
"You have a metal arm? That is awesome, dude!"
yoooo he really has Zadornov's/Venom Snake prosthetic hand? Thats sooooo sick
Not all gamers just want super strength from a bionic arm. Having dexterity in your fingers and maintaining that dexterity even after hours/days of lifting/moving stuff(produce crates for example) would be so much easier with bionic fingers once theyre developed further.
Ayo taking down Bucky’s arm was more of a nod to Asian fighting cultures where they hit your pressure points to immobilize u
Bucky's arm has a Vibranium power core.. no recharging needed.
We need those winter soldier arms
Even being a Super Soldier, Bucky is still limited in what his arm would be able to do without it ripping itself from his body. For a person to be able to do things like that with a bionic arm, you'd need an exoskeleton to support it as well, otherwise it would just fail at the weakest point, which without reinforcements would be at your spine.
“What is the use for that?”
Because it’s awesome?
The winter soldier was experimented on, Before adding the prosthetic arm.. That's why he never felt the pain (atleast in theory)
Amazing
Imagine prosthetics and bionic arms one day having the myomer technology from battletech/mechwarrior integrated with an implant. Artificial muscle strands stimulated by the electrical signals sent by the brain to offer near perfect strength and dexterity in comparison to a flesh and blood arm
Vibranium functions something like a kinetic battery so a feasible explanation is that his own movements are what power it.
11:13
Roy Harper (Arsenal) in Season w of Young Justice has to charge his arm at one point.
But fair point. It's rarely discussed how the bionics are charged.
Bucky is a super soldier which is why he's so strong, he pretty much has the same strength as Captain America.
The amount of options that these arms have to be eventually created to be weapons is unreal. Hand cannons, Mantis Blades, grenade launcher. All the old Sci Fi weapons roll eventually be created.
any person who creates technology to benefit humanity and not have them indebted to payments for the rest of their lives is a hero to me.
The strength part comes from the super soldier serum, or a variation of the serum. Steve Rogers got the true perfect serum and bucky got a completely different one, but it still have him super strength
Take a shot every time she says "punch through walls"
Is there a way to order one made with titanium and has gold trim? Will provide materials
if i'm not mistaken, Daniel is wearing the metal gear solid covers for his arm haha
Problem with prostheses is funding and scope.
1912 the first phone was available with separate mouth piece and listening horn.
2012 alone look at what phones where.
1912 tge hooked prosthetic was made and 2021 the default.
Even artificial muscles are being used for phones instead of an artificial limb.
Daniel true bionic man!
How much is this and where to get it
im still amazed that we can have bionic arms working. how does the arm understand what your brain/body is telling it to do?
Can a material like graphene work
The guyz hair is so perfect it looks like green screen cut
0:58 FYI he's(Bucky) been injected with super soldier serum so his body is far more stronger, durable and can endure lot more damage and heal more faster than normal human.. that's why his other limbs can handle the pressure
