I have a Culo Clean bidet, very easily found on Amazon. It would be a great idea to carry a P-38 or P-51 military can opener; they’re very lightweight. I’ve seen so many hiking videos and people trying to use pocket knife can openers and they struggle. These can openers are great; I got mine on eBay.
While the speed hangers are a cute idea, I can't imagine spending $10 or more including shipping. Instead, I use a 8ft paracord, tied into a large loop, with a 2nd knot in the center effectively making 2 connected loops. Add a carabiner to one end, whip the carabiner and loop around a tree. For a small tree, pass the carabiner between the tree and the middle knot, larger tree, after the middle knot, and cinch onto the tree with the carabiner hanging down. Clip your pack onto the carabiner and you're done. Quicker, easier and cheaper. 😉
Even cheaper is tie a bowline at the end of the paracord, loop around the tree and the grab a stick off the ground and set in a marlin spike in the hanging line to hold your backpack.
Cautionary tale about S style carabiners: going through a tornado blowdown area and while going under a tree my s carabiner hooked itself to a limb and I was somewhat stuck. Luckily my friend was with me and was able to uncluttered me as I was in a bad position to get out of my pack…. Several lessons learned there on my part. It was my first trip!
The best advice on this video might have been unintended - hanging your charging device bag from the hangtime hook! I can't stand the swinging screen when using the hangtime hook in the hammock; having the extra weight might just keep the whole apparatus from swinging.
I'm looking forward to using my water bottle to a drink tube system this year. It is basically a cap that replaces your smart bottle top and has a tube and a relief valve. It makes it so you can drink via tube (my preference since I can hike better drinking from a tube) but you can also see how much water is in your bottle because you keep it on the outside of your pack. And since you'd be carrying a water bottle anyway it isn't any extra gear than normal. If you want to get sick about it, attach an inline water filter and you no longer need to stop very long at water sites.
I like the glow in the dark zipper pulls that attach to my hammock zipper. In the dark it makes finding the zipper pulls easy. Mine are from Mountain Safety Research and they glow in the dark all night long.
They have those silicone straps for skis that have been around for a hot minute. That strap you showed is thinner, I like it. The shoulder strap pockets are all nice. I just got a dog bone and the large hook. I’m excited to use them! All great gadget choices 👍🏻
Would you kindly compare the biolite string, ridgelight and mtnglo lights? If you could eval and offer two recommendations, one for best lights for camping and the other for ultralight backpacking lights (less power used, lightest, great light/brightness). No-one has done this comparison, and I think the ridgelight is great, but over a 5 day trip, i do not know which of the three would be the best balance of weight, power draw, and light offered. I am worried I will buy one an dit will devour pour and my battery bank.
I’m tired of going on line to look for products that a you tuber recommends. That doesn’t exist anymore . So I’ll stop watching their recommendations. What’s the point. Why watch a vlog that’s useless.
The flextail airpump has been a game changer for me. It helps everyone at camp get the pads filled up quickly, helps start the fire and then I hang it up as a camp light and the battery life is great!
Most of these are a pass for me. I would never get a shoulder pouch that wasn't waterproof. Hanging tools are good. The Hangtime clip looks great for hammocks, but it won't work on most tents. I prefer the ZPacks waterproof DCF wallet. The minimalist Velcro on that bottle pouch looks like it won't last. I wonder if those silicone straps come long enough and strong enough to affix a Bear Vault atop a roll-top pack. The V-strap on my Arc Haul pack slips (not the best pack in the world, FYI), plus the strap gets looser as I hike and my gear settles. It would be nice to employ some spring tension for that problem. Set and forget. But if you have not yet tried a hiker's bidet, you should. You will avoid rashes using one, and they are much lighter than carrying TP. You can still finish with TP, if you want, but you will not need to do so. Your butt will be damp, but it will be cleaner than it could get using TP alone. Think about it - what is your plan if you suffer serious bouts of diarrhea and run out of TP on a trip?
I started using a military surplus magazine pouch as a cell phone pouch this past season. The MOLLE attaches easily to the daisy chain on my pack and it only cost me one dollar (for a brand new magazine pouch!).
Checkout the outdoor elements firebiner. Also, do you know of anything like the Nemo Dagger Osmo landing zone? A product people can buy after market to place in that triangle space between the inner and the vestibule to keep muddy items out of the inner, and yet out of the rain like boots and a pack.
Just picked up one of those speed hangers! Might be time to upgrade the phone pocket as well. I can't stand the one with the zipper. Such a pain to try and close one handed. I recently came across a phone tether from Rogue Fishing Co. that has been great so far. A leash for the phone that clips onto the bag! Realized I could use something like that after going over some rocks and if my phone took a tumble it was going to vanish.
Jeremiah, look up tushy. It’s a relatively cheap bidet that you can easily hook up to most toilets. No power, it just taps into your warm/cold water under the sink so you can blend them to the perfect temp.
A big thanks to Ridge Wallet for sponsoring this video! Check them out here: Ridge.com/Jeremiah

Could have been a sticky situation
insert the bidet in the bottle, and nowhere else, to be clear
Lol that's the truth
Appreciate the review!! Stoked to see this 🤩We're just getting started!
Great stuff :D

Lol I didn't even realize
The CTUG shoulder strap gear items are freakin S tier worth it!
Love them

I could use a couple those. Def will get them on my next hammock
Looks like the small speed hanger could be used to hang a hammock tarp much like dutchware gear
Could be. They look similar to some of Dutch's stuff
Guy with thick Kentucky accent saying "bidet". LMAO. Great job on the video. I would add the flextail lamp/ inflator.
Thank you so much!!
Call me "old fashion" but I could never bring myself to wash my back side with my canteen. LOL
I have a separate bottle that is only for my bidet I do not drink out of it and I think most people do the same
Lol no worries
John Wayne toilet paper 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I've only ever heard that once in my life from an elderly man I use to take care of in the nursing home!
😂😂
Wanna know more about how u attach your chair in the bottom of your bag. Have the same bag and I was wondering how I can do that
It would make a good UA-cam Short
Fun fact: Apex Giant is owned by the Hilltop Packs guy.
True that

Sounds like a great video idea, but unfortunately I don't own any of those items
Dog bone from apex for hanging your food bag
Had one with my cordage for bear bag right now :D

@@JeremiahStringer sorry dude. I don’t remember any more. I like checking out gear y’all recommend. Except your famous back pack!
@@JeremiahStringer I liked the 16” infinity straps. For what ever reason it tells me the web site is not available. Thanks!
Check out the hero clip it's a great design
For sure
The speed hook is something I didn't think I'd use often. I was WRONG. They work great for using a gravity filter too.
Love that little thing
Great list Jeremiah! I need to check out Apex Giant for sure! Still haven't yet.

Some great items! Nice video my friend!

Do you think those straps would hold up for combining two trekking poles as a mid pole? Are they lighter than the ski ones? Thanks for the video.
Unfortunately I don't know what a mid pole is. And I don't ski lol I wish I could be more help
The Infinity Tool straps hold up to 70 lbs and will hold double that weight with a second wrap of the same strap, according to ModL Outdoors.
