As a Ex northern line train driver, seeing this is very different as there were signals on route. Having no signals as a old driver could be quite worrying because you have to rely on the train computer.😳
Ben can we have a video because kentish town closed Can we have a clip of a train coming through kentish town non stop because of works but as a driver eye view I would really like that
@@xr6lad As a Ex train drive I see no need to light up fully the tunnels. For one, There’s absolutely no nothing to see, if there is a problem then another train would have had problems if the track was damaged or something on it. I never had any problems driving the northern line. Bright headlights on trains is like saying aircraft should have bright lights whilst in flight, NOT NEEDED.
@@blackydoncan't you just use a torch light so we can see the tunnel and then switch off the torch light when approaching the station... I saw the 'bakerloo line exposed ' video and the driver used his torch light when driving and switching it off when approaching the station it was actually great to see ...
I even like the driver's announcement at the beginning! LOL
Exploring tunnel in rail is amazing, like in the movie journey to center of earth.
If you go to Charing Cross platform and stand right next to the tunnel u can hear that voice announcing “mind the gap” at embankment
Wait really?
@@WagDemTails showes how stupidly close 2 stations are
Wow! Great cab ride video!

Excellent cab ride Ben!!
Unbelievable that in the 21st century specially the new tunnels they are not lit up like elsewhere.
they dont need to be lit
Off we go!❤
No headlights? In the blackness of the tunel.
yes they do but they not very good
I’ll more amazed that in the 21st century specially the new tunnels they are not permanently lit up.

Maybe
@@BenTaylor. Thanks! I think it would be a cool shot
@@BenTaylor. 10:03 Mind the gap! Awesome to hear it crystal clear
Nice!
Why is it that there are so few signals?
they are taking down the Old signals system gradually
What's the line beyond Mill Hill East?
abandoned line (mill hill east -> edgeware)
Darkness instead of a tunnel picture? That's probably not why I clicked on that video
my apologies I should have made a thumbnaill
Headlights are quite futile in them tunnels.
@@blackydongood headlights wouldn’t be. In fact the news tunnels should be lit
