I remember when the first movie came out, I got that one autobot who transformed into a cellphone, I played with it for hours. In 2008 I got Crosshairs, Cliffjumper, and Warpath. Cliffjumper was unsurprisingly a red recolor of Bumblebee, that was when I first heard of the character, my only thought was (looks like bumblebee in red, I love it) because red was and still is my favorite color, plus I actually saw a clip from the first episode, original cartoon from the 80's. It was the scene where Cliffjumper and Hound are spying on the decepticons, that was my first media exposier to the character, I would see the entire original cartoon several years later.
The first time Hasbro used the name Barricade was for the 1988 toyline COPS, this barricade was as you can expect a police officer who specialized in crowd control, and was a prominent character in the COPS comic and cartoon series. Transformers Barricae debuted in 1990 and he wasn't a rouge cop, but he became a rouge cop for the 2007 movie, see how it all comes together?
Another solid ass video on a topic my inner kid me will always be interested. Can we talk about Bonecrusher pulling a Nazi move and fleeing to South America 😭
When I think of obscure bayverse characters the ones that come to mind are Bludgeon, Mindwipe, Breakaway, Thrust, Dead End, Breakdown (who is literally identical to his g1 counterpart), Thundercracker and Reverb Yeah there's a lot that come to mind actually Tbh these guys were underatted
It was easy to be a completist back then. $10 deluxe figures, 20 voyagers, 40 leaders, etc... I did eventually sell all of those figures as my collection grew to only keep characters that appeared in the films. I still have a few. Incinerator, Wreckage (both I customized), and I still have Big Daddy. I JUST sold that voyager Evac. I do wish Hasbro would make a Studio Series Leader Class Evac. Longarm's weapon can come off if you unscrew it. Then it just pegs into the hand securely without the screw.
By the way, dose anyone other than me feel that Warpath in the 07 movie toyline dosen't look like Warpath, and looks far more like G1 Windcharger? This wouldn't be the last time hasbro would make a character look like another, in the G.I.Joe Rise of Cobra toyline, there was a toy for Deep Six, that looked way more like Torpedo.
Huge bummer that Big Daddy never made an appearance in the live action films.
I'm glad I'm not the only one with a fascination with the toyline exclusive characters

Here's what Red Alert had to say about the mold for his Armada toy being recolored into Inferno.
Red Alert: "Inferno wants my job!!!"
2:27 bruh the twins switched color pallets. Rare Greenflap moment

We'll never get something like transformers 2007-11 ever again, what a time. BTW I'd love if you did videos on each movie's obscure characters!
You missed the goat Nightwatch Optimus Prime. Easiy one of the coolest paint jobs

I hope for the concept sub section of SS is that we get characters like Longarm, ROTF Breakaway and DOTM Warpath

Romors say that if you climb to the highest mountain and sing songs from the ancients, Big Daddy, will scuttle up to you and tell you tales of old

all these fuys deserve a studio series remake or a store exclusive re-release
Considering Longarm was about as big of a truck as Ironhide I think he does scale pretty well with Studio Series
Warpath was alive in the dark of the moon video game, which was a prequel to the movie, so I guess he got a new body.
Longarm also appeared in Transformers Animated, though he was the secret identity of Shockwave.
Irônico nos quadrinhos morreu pra ele
Transformers golden era in the public consciousness was from 2007-2011 and I will die on that hill
