It’s a horrible haircut but it helped to make Arthur such a graphic element to the show. The art direction and photography need to get way more mention than they do

Well, they do because the characters that they're playing are badass and really fun to look at. The one's who've never seen them, especially before anyone knew about Peaky, they weren't as known as they are now
They might look cool for teens and for people in their early 20's, but for their age..it just doesn't look right. Undercuts and those sorts of fades make them look like tools. That's pretty much why they are against them...

In yorkshire it was called the basin cut. I actually saw kids in the 1950,s with it at school. Their grandad put a basin on top of the head then shaved any and all hair below the rim....I think this hailed from the first war and developed as the short back and sides style.....

Peaky Blinders: great series. Highly-stylized and one might argue repetitive topic ( various crime intrigues). But, superb acting and wonderfully filmed. Characters are so consistent and spot on. Beautiful photography and costumes. Loved it. Look forward to movie version or if planned, a series 7.

The haircuts look so amazing on the show. It has been hugely influential on men's style in the last 5 years and even though the cuts might look a bit much in day to day life I still see plenty of watered down versions of the 'Peaky cuts' out and about and they look great. I have to say I think the styles they rock on the show look way better than their own 'regular', grown out do's.

I think they look nice with their haircuts. Id course when I was growing up the bowl cut for boys was in and some of them wore them very short like that. Then they all grew their hair out and became head bangers in our teens.

She never said she invented it. She said that the stylist did her research and the creator and the stylist took the cuts from a picture from that time era from that Birmingham area.
