My parents are in or encroaching on their 70s, and the reality that they will not be around forever is ever present in my life. These songs about the loss of a parent hit a little differently than at the time when they were released. I'm grateful to still have them both in my life.

Train has done covers of Led Zeppelin songs that are incredible. Train has a number of hit songs to choose from including a Christmas song Shake Up Christmas. Pink has a very moving song on her new album Trustfall called When I Get There. She performs it nightly at her many sold out concerts. I cry every time I hear it. It reminds me of my father.

Crazy, I always thought this was about a partner who needed to find themselves and went off on a self discovery vibe. This song is just as powerful from the standpoint of a deeper, more permanent loss. Good shh..positive fecal matter
