I just did my dna, 53% England, South Wales and NW Europe, 43% Ireland and Scotland, 2% France 2% Germanic Europe. I live in Canada but Europe feels like home to me when I visit. Have fun with your dna journey!

I lived there from Nov. 2002 til Nov. 2003 when married to a Brit.
He never took me to any major places to walk around. Just drove by it all....though we did walk along Victoria Embankment and to Cleopatras needle. Saw the London Eye across the Thames.
Seeing Big Ben as we drove over Westminster Bridge was quite emotional for me as well as Buckingham Palace and The Tower of London.
If you go... Across from the Tower of London.. There is a small park... And to the right part of an old Roman wall.
Its just amazing to see something so old and enriched with so much history!!
I live near St. Augustine, FL .. our Nations oldest city...and I was more thriiled seeing London and Bristol and Bath with their history than here in my own back yard....
Guess its my English/Irish and Scottish heritage...

@@anitajinfla9762 Is that right? OMG I look forward to it. London is notoriously expensive and it's always crowded all year round. So I really have to plan ahead and save a lot. I was just in Europe 2 weeks ago so I can't go on vacation yet. Have to wait for a few more months. Thank you for the advice! I'll keep that in mind. London is huge so I will need at least a week to see it all. If all goes well, I'll be packing my bags for London.

One thing I love about London and probably other cities is you walk everywhere. Our cities are so spread out a person has to drive most places including to public transportation. Do either one of you own cars?
