My husband started watching you so he could learn how to fall some trees on the property our son wants to build on and also up at the fish camp in northern Manitoba. He had me watch you with him and now we can't stop. You are a great story teller and teacher. Don't listen to the negative people out there. You are one of those salt of the earth guys and we appreciate the videos!
Some reason I'm here except the property is in northern Ontario. I wanted to learn how to safely and efficiently use chainsaws on trees after living my life behind a desk.
I’m a little broken up mentally and physically but I will put this 57 year old me now against the 37 year old me then and I’m 100% sure the “now” will kick “then’s” ass. I still work hard but now smarter. Thanks, Buckin, for your tremendous inspiration.
You’re axe videos are the best! Grateful to be here, I started my Tassies journey last year watching your videos and I bought my first one this year, got it hanged and I’ll make some videos with it pretty soon! Thank you brother, you’re a true inspiration! God bless. Cheers from a Québécois ⚜️🇨🇦
Old warriors are still warriors my friend. Being a warrior is the fire inside, the spirit. Burn bright and youll never fade away. Great axe brother. Be kind 👍
That’s hard wood to split that’s how rock maple or beach splits here in Nova Scotia if it’s knotty like that London plane your a worker swinging that axe 🪓!! Be safe great commentary at the end so true what your saying !!
Buckin,as someone who currently has both shoulders in baaaad shape(awaiting surgery) it sure is great to see you back on the axe. And what an axe! Inspirational. Cheers from HB NZ
Love this Buckin!! Your videos teaching and sharing knowledge are some of my favorites. I’ve learned to buck, split, build axes, and sharpen my chains watching your videos. Kindness always wins!
Been watching you for a long time and came across a guy that you may appreciate Clayton Showalter is the name. Seems like a wholesome guy that could use some buckin support on his channel.
I went from using a machine to split, to doing it by hand this year, and yeah, it's more work, but man is it more gratifying. Also went from using a maul to a splitting axe, and I really like it. I've only had to get the maul out once for a piece of cherry that had a wicked twist, but otherwise the axe has done everything, and done better in some cases (where having an edge is a benefit). Keep swinging.
I feel ya Billy Ray, I'm 55 also, and after near on 40 years in construction plus cuttin' wood for pleasure and warmth, I got some aches and pains. But I ain't ordering that hydraulic splitter just yet ;-)
Hello Buckin Billy Ray, in Germany we use an ax with a wide mouth for such wood. These are actually gap hammers. If it has many nodes. For example from Ochsenkopf. Greetings Peter from Germany.
I know exactly what you mean. I’m about six or seven years ahead of you. The mind is ready to go but the body needs just a little extra coaxing. Glad to see your shoulder doing better.
❤❤ lookin good on that axe brother!! Man, I need to get my paws on a good axe!! That profile is amazing!!! And I can't wait to see who gets that 372...fingers crossed it comes my way haha, but in sure it will go to the one who needs it most!! Good content brother, much love from the Barth household😎😎🪓🪵🌳💪🙏
Always nice to watch your videos. I'm currently in a rehabilitation clinic and am looking forward to a change. Many thanks and greetings from Germany Peter.
@@Helga____ I'm in North Rhine-Westphalia for rehab. I have blood cancer and exhaustion syndrome. I have to do rehab because of the pension insurance... They don't want to send me into retirement. My problem is that I'm always broken after exertion.
Love the video, I am in my early 60’s but need to start swinging an axe again, would love to purchase one of yours if you ever decide to sell one! God bless from Wisconsin!
Had a good laugh when you suggested your body doesnt always follow your thoughts. I turn 56 this year but so what. That double bit you made me 7 years ago is still swinging doing the business on the original 36 inch handle you made 😁💪👍
BBR, long time viewer and listener. Is it possible for me to purchase one of you wood bullet style axes ? For splitting purposes. Many thanks Liam, Dublin, Ireland.

But extremely broken. Everything came after a corona illness.
Sycamore Maple is really tough to split. You definitely get a workout with it.

A thing I like is all the other dudes on YT split nice pieces of wood but buckin chooses the ugliest most terrible wood to show a way.
From time to time I find something nasty
