Faze my brother, you made alot of us realize how important we are with this song and you brought back history, the rhymes still rings in my head, you own the society and you get ability.. you smashed it brother.. God bless you.. conscious music... 2021..
It’s 2023! This music took me back in time with so much nostalgia…one of the best songs in my growing up days. My deep respect for Faze never wanes…I always felt his music stood out amongst the rest.
My eldest brother made me love faze , listened to this song when i was 9 now I’m 26 and can’t stop listening to this masterpiece. What a beautiful memory it gives me ❤❤
Nothing underrated about Faze. He talent was much appreciated, and music liked while he was still doing his thing. Thats why we keep coming back 2024!!
Just in my kitchen this day getting ready to head to work and the song faintly filtered onto my head. Wait a minute..just three lyrical words..'u na go 'halla' my name one day'. Quickly grabbed my phone asking Google with all the keywords I could remember. No, I was wrong. The songs he(sang) that popped up, wasn't the one I needed the moment in time. Driving and heart searching on ma way to work, yet couldn't get the title. 8 hours down the line shortly settling down from work. Same song, it won't just go away from ma 'tots', but this time in my bathroom. Picked up ma phone, this moment I had plenty of time.Relaxing at my Study corner, Faze, it is. I kinda know the name, the rave, the maverick singer. Pitched on his name and there I searched, and searched. Next word that infilterated in ma memory was "Jaja of Opobo'"( lyrical phrase in the song). Searched those keywords. Saw "Originality" but didn't know that was it! Klicked, played...intro filtered 😀😊! there I was nodding, popped up volume, didn't care what time of da day it was( pretty late though (11:45pm eastern time). Listened over and over and over, I kept replaying, smiling and laughing foolishly at myself, but supressing it not to be a nuisance to others already sleeping. Africa my Mother land, Africa! Nigeria! Nation of nations, dear Mother land. For ALL the leaders that have kept the nation and her nationals in such a sympathetic state, crippled our Youths, lamed GREAT talents, the BRIGHTEST of our brains, causing MASSIVE exodus to other nations for greener pastures instead developing ours. Y'all shall know NO peace from generation to generation. You leaders have literally wiped away our TALENTS😥, Growing up I remember how competitive we were ( reminiscing 80s & early 90s). All those great leaders and role models mentioned in this song and by implication; ' a duff off hat and SALUTE for their status as mentors, leaders, achievers, highly revered in thier fields, and RESPECT. Can we ever come to that glory again?? I'm the most clueless here. Youths, Nigerian youths, go get your PVCs please I beg of you. We can, YES we CAN! Only if we try. We can rewrite this story and change the narrative. Only four weeks in view ( not sure my countdown is correct now). Dear lord I pray, show mercy unto Mother land.Uproot evil, uproot the wicked, uproot the oppressors and their all their benefactors from the wealth of the nation, for they have INDEED milked us dry, leaving us hungry and poor. May Your light shine again in the midst of darkness. Amen. To you Faze for this one, I salute with respect, great mind!
Shout-out to all the Legends the men and women that represented Nigeria in the music scene and around the World 🌎 and brought it to where it is Today..... Thank You I appreciate all of You 💐💐💐🌹🌹🌹
Faze u are a legend, God bless u, is like na here phyno got inspired for his verce in hero ft aguero banks, mentioning Nigeria legends like osadebe , onyeka owenu, fela , Sunny ade and the rest, Face did it already, legend for a reason.
I love this song so much particularly the part when Faze mentions some Nigerian Music Greats but I think the video doesn't capture the energy of the song and the potential in the song to unify us as a country. I may advise a remastered version of the song and a new video that will show how more we are alike as a people than dislike as pedalled by some selfish individuals.
Till today, we de halla your name Faze. You are celebrated for celebrating others. Faze remains a Legend. The creativity in his songs was mind blowing. He recognised Lucky Dube and that was just enough.
Never knew there was a video for this. Nice song then and now. One day the world will know my name for good too. And the reign will be for decades and then centuries to come. It won’t be like a “Once view” message by God grace. If you believe and want the same click the like button or comment amen.
Convince me otherwise, but lyrically speaking and pure raw talent, Faze was the best from that plantation boyz group...Tubaba just had the rare blessing of more commercial appeal.
