I LOVE this video! It's so helpful to see comparison vids when discussing cruises, especially to newbies to the cruise world. Thanks for your videos! We used to cruise on Carnival. I say "used to", as it was our first cruise and then we went on another. We were not disappointed, we had a great time both cruises. Then we found a much better offer for our next cruise on MSC. We have been cruising on them ever since. BTW, we aren't drinkers and we are on vacation! We don't need to pay for lousy ship wi-fi or far overpriced drink packages. BTW, there is free wi-fi in many of the ports of call, so you can check your email if you just must do so. It may save you from throwing your phone into the sea in frustration! We have been very pleased with MSC and will be going on another cruise this year, our 3rd on MSC and 2nd cruise on the Seaside. But now, the Seaside is going out of Miami and the 7 day cruise has a different itinerary from when it went of of Port Canaveral. Fortunately, we live within a couple hours drive of either port! 😁 Also, MSCs "Ocean Cay" island is worth a trip in itself! You could drop me there for 7 days and I would be happy.
It's so nice to live in Florida and be just a couple hours drive from multiple cruise ports! And yeah, sign us up to be dropped off for a week on Ocean Cay as well!
Thank you for another great informative video. We have cruised on the Seashore and Reflection and really enjoyed both ships. We are scheduled to cruise for a second time on the MSC Seashore in October.
We traveled on celebrity reflection, 6 night cruise this past April out of Port Everglades, and we loved it. Very impressed with Celebrity that we booked our next big cruise out of Sydney Australia, traveling to Hawaii almost 4 weeks for next year. We were exclusive to Disney and Norwegian cruise line.
The value of the Celebrity Reflection right now is unbelievable. It really is an impressive cruise line. The cruise out of Sidney to Hawaii sounds like our absolute dream cruise. We're sure you guys will love it, and we're so glad you decided to give Celebrity a try!
You guys mentioned Nassau a couple of times in this video...headed to Atlantis on Paradise Island and Exuma later this year...can we expect any Bahamas videos coming up?? Would love to see that!! Always amazing content from you guys, thank you!!
We did do a video on Nassau several years back where we basically just got off of the ship and walked around exploring. Neither of us have been to Atlantis yet, but we would love to visit and make a video on it someday!
We're doing the 4 night Magnifica this month. We did the 3 night a couple of months ago. We're paying less for the 4 night than we did on the 3 night. We enjoyed Magnifica, even though it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of Seascape or Seashore. It is perfect for a short cruise for two adults.
I have never been on it, but am looking for a short birthday cruise in October. Looking at the 3 nights Miami-Key West-Ocean Cay-Miami. How was Ocean Cay in your opinion?
@maribelrosario772 We enjoyed Ocean Cay. A very chill beach day. We really liked hanging out at the lighthouse bar. It had comfy couch seating and live music.
Thanks so much for sharing! We're definitely going to try the Magnifica (and the Davina) sooner or later. There are certain things about smaller/older ships that we tend to enjoy more, and I'm sure we'll find plenty that we like about both of those ships!
I think I would lean more towards a cruise where the food and drinks are top rated. Being on the largest ship = most crowded appeals the least to me. By the way, in this video, Jamie, you are looking so happy and vibrant. I think not having the burden of an employer seems to be having a positive force.
So while the largest ships definitely can be the most crowded, we've also found that they provide more options for places to hide out away from the crowds. Also, we've been on large ships that are 100% booked and feel packed, but also on ones that are 50% booked and feel like no one is on them. Regardless, if you cruise during hurricane season, there's a good chance that your ship will not be fully booked which for us always results in a better experience. Either way, it sounds like you know your priorities (high quality food and drinks), so for you I think the Celebrity Cruise would probably be your best bet. Although MSC has the best Pizza and Carnival has the best burgers/tacos, Celebrity definitely wins the food/drink quality overall.
Thank you! Food at the buffet and in the main dining room are included in the Celebrity Price. As discussed in the video, the price goes up if you want to add on a drink package. You can call VacationstoGo to see if they are offering any additional perks. Sometimes they will add on some sort of credit.
Great video but just an observation and a recommendation is to use individual mics when making these type of videos as you get a bad echo recording it that way and it’s hard to understand unless you turn up the volume really high

Hi Clarence. I know vacations to go does update their rates several times per day, but we have had experiences where the prices was a few dollars higher or lower when we called to book. I would not expect that the Cruise Line website would honor rates found on the VacationstoGo website.
All three of the cruises we compared in this video were in the same price range. In fact the Celebrity cruise was actually cheaper than the Carnival one. As we stated in the video, Celebrity is not typically considered to be a budget cruise line, but you can still find some very budget friendly cruises with them.
Yeah, we mentioned in the video that Celebrity is not typically known to be a budget cruise line, but the specific Celebrity cruise that we are comparing in the video is very budget friendly and comparably priced to the Carnival and MSC cruise.

I've watched and I am a subscriber to many UA-cam cruise channels but this was my first video of yours I've watched. Your info was great but the music while you're talking is too loud and your echo in your kitchen is annoying. Think about building a studio in a room that's not so voluminous and echoey.
Yeah, this was our first time recording in our new apartment.... we figured there would be a little echo but it was worse than we expected. We'll make some adjustments for the next one... unfortunately we only live in a one bedroom apartment, so building a separate studio is not really an option at this point, but we'll hopefully find a way to make some improvements on it. @@Explorcation an idea then would be not doing it in the kitchen. Do it in your bedroom or living room where padding and pillows might soak up the echo. Maybe even possibly use some noise absorption wall tiles. Just a thought.
That's too bad. We have cruised on many cruise lines and think MSC provides an excellent value, and we've spoken to many others who feel the same. That said, it's definitely not for everyone. And we aren't trying to put any specific cruise line in the same category as any other. We're simply comparing specific cruises. And in this case, all three of these cruises are roughly the same price and are relatively inexpensive compared to most others sailing out of Florida right now.
@@johnclark5172 Their prices are high, carnibal prices used to be lower. After more than 6 royal Caribbean cruises bavlck to back, this year I have three booked cruises, one with NCL and two with MSC. I can't wait to see what MSC offers for the price.
Certain sailings that Carnival offers are still quite budget friendly, but we've noticed that the cruises on their newer ships have gotten more expensive recently.
Several cruise lines are still offering very budget friendly cruises, as we pointed out in this video. That said, the price of cruising has definitely gone up over all, but there are still great deals to be found if you know where and how to look for them.
@@Explorcation I have two cruises coming up with MSC, three nights with insurance and their top alcohol package was $1100 on a balcony (two adults), not bad in my opinion and a whole week for 2 adults, 2 minors in november was $2600, this time the easy plus alcohol package and I also paid travel insurance. I have never traveled with MSC but seeing that they're coming up with new ships all the time, I feel like once they catch up to the competition in terms of demand, they will increase their prices as well so I feel like it's time to take advantage of their low prices now. I can't wait to compare MSC to Royal Caribbean (Royal Caribbean prices are crazy now, especially their new ships) and compare the value for money on MSC vs Royal. As far as Carnival, their budget prices are usually on old, ugly ships, I did one in the past and never again. Obviously I will compare the value interms of what you pay, I know that Royal offers a lot and it's hard to beat them.

Georgetown Grand Cayman is awesome! Our server on the Disney ship sent us to an amazing Thai restaurant. Highly Recommend
Yeah we loved Georgetown, but were not aware of this Thai Restaurant. Next time we visit we'll be on the lookout for it!

We got a great deal on Radiance of the Seas out of Tampa during the same time frame.
Nice! We have yet to sail on the Radiance but will have to look into it!
Paradise was our first cruise back in 1999. It was completely non-smoking for the first few years in service.

Celebrity isn't budget, Royal is in that company!
There is no cheaper line than MSC and Carnival right now!

How can u put Celebrity in the same category with MSC and Carnival? My TA wouldn’t even dare put someone on MSC…
