Martin Kove seems like the chillest guy ever. Love his overall aura and the absolutely hilarious gestures he keeps doing :)
Still hunky at 76 years of age!!!! I remember him on "Cagney and Lacey", cocky on the show (his character). But Martin Cove is AWESOME!!!!! Much love!!!❤❤❤❤
Seems much cooler and more likeable than his character, LOL
35:03 - a little kid asks 'where's Mr Myagi' :'(
Ralph's response is as good as you could hope for off the cuff ..
Would love too see Jackie chan take the place of Mr. Miyagi in series.
I cried when I heard that 😭
@jarjarfun guy Sato played by Summo Hung
@@sainttrunks1982 amazing idea
@@jordanbaker8592 Thank you
If only Mr. Kove was asked more questions, I wanted to hear his answers on more of his career and the films.
Agreed! I loved him in Ramno 2
Like how martin kove is wearing a cobra kai t shirt! Cobra kai never dies!!!
His head to body ratio is weird lol, big head tiny body/legs
Martin Kove IS Cobra Kai
Eagle fang fang x
@@carolynphillips5975 lmao wwww I legit saw all 5 seasons in 2 days it’s so good
Martin Kove has always been a great guy to both his family and his friends. I wonder if it was difficult for him to play the villain in Karate Kid? I am glad he was allowed to redeem his character "Kreese" towards the end of Cobra Kai season 4.
No. He always a villain. Pays the bills n for the mansions n lambos. He's happy
@@EmperorNerox Whatever.
Three legends right there.
I just found out about the Cobra Kai series... Great to see them getting back together on screen again. Who would've thought: Daniel Larusso and Johnny Lawrence coming back!!! :-D
and they will for sure at least do a season two
Fulguro Geek I hope so
I just found out about Cobra Kai yesterday!? AMAZING TV Series!! LOVE IT!!
@@FulguroGeek Atleast season 2? Season 5 coming soon!!
“GET HIM A BODY BAAAAAG” 😂
09:37
The question almost a year before "Cobra kai".
Interesting.
@gothatway09 probably all of them knew, that was kinda funny
@gothatway09 it’sWilliam Zabka. Not billy
It was already in production at this point.
Wish they would show more love to Martin Kove. He was a awesome Big Bad.
Karate kid has got to be one of my favourite movies of all time
I watched every second of that interview and honestly it was the most entertaining thing ive watched all day
This is really cool it shows how much they really care about this film/franchise
I trained w Pat Johnson in 83 84 a couple of our black belts went to film in the movie they're in the cobra Kai dojo when Danny goes in there. They came back n told us about the movie. Never thought we'd see it or hear about it again. Lol. Who knew
I see Johnny Lawrence as a good guy now :)
While that may be true. I will always be loyal to Daniel.
Daniel was the bully
I always thought he was in the right even as a kid.
"QUIET!"
If you go back and watch the movie again, and really pay attention, it's Daniel who is the instigator.
Terrific series and to be able to bring back the original actors makes this story believable.
Wish there could be a reunion with every cast member ..
should be, by the end of this series
Patience Danielson
its called "Cobra Kai" NOW STREAMING ON UA-cam AND NETFLIX
And your wish came true
@@ozzybeloiu466 Daniel-san, its an honorific
Kove is just cool.
Thank you so much for bringing this back!! Was perfect!!
Kress is such an villainess character yet coolest guy
One of the best villains on film 👍

And in television
I loved Billy's appearances on the show The Equalizer.
Wow that was really heart warming !!
Awesome.
Great actors, both heroes and villains, make great iconic characters and movies. Very inspirational movies as is the Rocky Series.
Wow! I would love to meet the three of them! So awesome
love seeing the cast and Ralph ;)

Never say never
It seems that the 2010 karate kid lives in Daniel LaRusso
Facts
Nobody will remember that movie 30 years from now
Let's do it for Johnnys man do it for Johnnys!
LOL
☺️
I have no words
Stay gold, Ponyboiiii
Great questions. Great interview. They answer these questions with such precision & accuracy. It's almost as though it was rehearsed.
That is what happens when you go through a process , you know exactly how it was and is able to tell everything about that...
Qué nostalgia verlos y que alegría verlos bien a los tres!
Best series ever!!! Loved watching this with my 9 year old daughter. She is into the story and just watched the original Karate Kid tonight. Living life full circle having been a kid watching it myself….
This is great insight to the cobra kai series
The problem with being bullied in school is that if you say something about it or report it you are considered a rat or a snitch and bullied even more.
I waited for this moment all my life.
Karate kid three movies is my favorite movies from 80s
Ralph had posters of himself 😂🤣
Hell yeah johns the man!! The cobra kai was the name of my army unit back in 2002!
16:53 Wow, what a great story from William Zabka, and his father was a wise man. He's 100% right and his results were the proof of it. The only way to stop bullies in their tracks is to stand up for yourself. I found this out as well when I was growing up. All of this "sensitivity training" and whatever nonsense you hear about now is all crap. You can't just "expect" others to not do bad things. The only way to get out of it is to do something about it yourself...
I train in Tang Soo do. I stopped doing it when I was a teenager but watching cobra Kai is what made me start training again..
A punch to the nose always ended the bullying in my years growing up.
Can't wait for Season 5!!! 🐍
Wow! Randy Jackson making an appearance at 32:33. lol
Ralph's voice seems to be higher/thinner now compared to when he was in the Karate Kid films. Most men's voices seem to get deeper if anything. Just an interesting (to me) observation.
I love this show we are so lucky !!
Ooooh little did they know...COBRA KAI NEVER DIES 🐍 Love the show. Love that everyone's back together. Amazing
I started making some comments about my initial impression of the series but as I started to "binge watch" the series I also saw how the comments were disabled which I don't take issue with. But from what I have observed about new indie series on i.e. Netflix, Hulu Plus, or now UA-cam is that if you don't allow a certain amount of feedback from the viewership they will "beat feet" and go onto the "next big thing." 2 - 3 seasons are the rule not the exception anymore when they aren't from the traditional "big three" networks or other older better established cable networks like TimeWarner, Comcast, or the CW.
Best reunion , best cobra Kay sequel series , karate kid Best film ever , I have watched the 4 seasons obra Kay in 2 weeks ! Nobody ever told they begin in 2018 , can’t wait for next season 5/6/7 :)
legends never die
Amazing!!!! Right before they knew about the cobra kai storm to come!
This is like a time capsule because these people were interviewed before Cobra Kai had its release. I think hearing about people who loved it before the show was released shows there were a lot of people holding onto the memories in the movie and its why it is so popular. everyone wants to be better and the writing does a good job letting you feel that way.
I guess it must be tiring doing these conventions when you get asked the same questions over and over. Still they answered them patiently. Amazing how many people were inspired to learn Karate by the movie. I wonder if they had been approached to make Cobra Kai when they did this convention ?
Five years after watching the Karate Kid I was taking martial art classes known as the 3- System Martial Arts. Frankly, learning karate through three different fighting systems, and quite an engaging experience.
We're never "too far to the left or too far to the right" when we reconnect with our "best around" actors/characters. Stay safe everyone!
I can’t wait that long LOL Cobra Kai is excellent!
THIS FKN MOVIE WAS THE FKN BEST IN THAT YEAR AND WILL BE ONE OF THE BEST EVER ! ! !
WE FKN LOVE IT ! ! !
I remember coming out of the movie house and being a fkn nutter started karating the friend who went to see it with me .
We took a bus there and back at about age 12 or 13 and it was quite a trip too .
Popcorn and a soda , and of course I probably smoked ...
Wtf !
Martial arts has always fascinated me , and the mystic Mr Miagi ... well to a preteen or 13 or 14 year old ...
A little piece of HEAVEN on earth ...
Andrew Lines the way you talk you sound like a 14 year old, definitely not old enough to see it In theaters
This is cool. 👍
Please release season 5 earlier than December!!
He must have skipped leg day for like Twenty years
he only skipped like 2 x
"There is No Defense". The Crane works !
cndvd lol 😂 its totally impossible to block..its a mathmatical anomoly.. Jackie Chan and Chuck Norris could never figure out how to use the kick or block it..and its not even a knock out kick, its more like a bee sting to the nose that make you slide oddly across the floor on your face..
Lindos amei a serie 💋💋💋
I can't get over how small Martin Koves' legs are.
I did not think about them at all, until your unforgettable comment.
it would of been fun to see all three of them do a Cobra kai rehearsal on stage lol hahahaha
SWEEP THE LEG!!!!!!!!
I love how everyone was a family working on the film together. Even during the casting of the characters. Martin looks like he's like the type to say cut if needed for an important reason for something he noticed, and the director is perfectly ok with it. He really only looks tough but nice to know he's actually pretty nice in real life. In a strange way it makes his return in Cobra Kai season 1 more impactful when the characters talk about him changing his ways. I do want to know more on how the yellow car went from Krees's bully hands to Myagi. There's something I must've missed in Cobra Kai.
I'm just glad Mr. Myagi got a tribute in Cobra Kai.
These guys are still cool
I would like to see William Zabka and Dean Winters in a movie.
Now I know where mortal kombat got the iconic"finish him"
Martin Cove is can make 10 guys and Forever Fight !True Karatist !😩😩☠☠☠
Band is back in town
La mie serie preferita😍🤩
I call it the “Appleton” effect.. there’s not many movies that after it ended you left the theater punching or kicking and wanting to either box or take karate.. he was an expert on the underdog story and the effect after
Wonder why they didn't talk about the Cobra Kai youtube series coming out next year? There's hardly any info on it. Hopefully it's still happening.
huh?
Because we’re going full movie 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽!!!
AK they probably couldn't or didn't known
Its is amazing you should watch it
It’s a great show
They all look great for their age and Martin Kobe looks way younger than 74 🤯
Ralph Macchio was 60 he looks 45/46
Yes, they all look AMAZING!!!!!❤❤❤❤
This must have been before Cobra Kai came out
9:42 "Whatcha talkin' bout Willis"
Get him a bodybag!!!!! YA!!!!!!
Martin Cove must have skipped leg day 😆
Muito legal td isso, uma pena mestre Miyagi não estar vivo, nunca pensei em ver isso muito legal depois de anos, se me perguntassem qd era criança e vi karate kid pela primeira vez q iria ver cobra kai depois d anos , love you guys
Uuuuuuuupppppp. dooooooewwwwnnnn!
Davey boy 🤣 i know every word of that movie.. Even when miyagi was singing drunk
Who trained Macchio, he seems to have the perfect answer for everything
Chuck Norris
They should film a sequel.
They all look great and so youthful and positive which is pretty awesome to see. Ralph please tell me what's the secret to the fountain of youth?,, Still look like a kid lol.
20:18 will be interesting a origin story of sensei John krises interesting character
Lol , I just watched the , " Leave the boy alone " Scene from the original . 30 years later , I guess it didn't happen . Daniel, Johnny , and Krease sitting side by side .
I recently started rewatching Cobra Kai and it just hit me that at this Q&A, they had to try really hard not to talk about Cobra Kai because this was just before they announced it.
Also, at 32:30, that's me!
Supercon in French means super idiot 😝
But apart from this, this interview is awesome 😎!!! Great that the series is back, can’t wait for season 5 !
3 greatest martial artist in history oh WAHHHHHHH LOLOLOL
Lol I always thought Ralph Macchio reminded me of Sal Mineo a little bit. He's cute
True
Season dropped on UA-cam streaming a year later. Did they not know that they’d be doing it yet?
It's interesting that it seems that they didn't know anything about Cobrakai at this point, Florida Supercon 2017.
It would be perfect timing for them to continue with another movie we have a new RoboCop sequel a new Terminator trilogy with James Cameron and we have Top Gun 2 with a bunch of other films a new Halloween sequel including Hellraiser and Creed 2 .... etc
This is my idea if they made another film I'd love to see a reunion between Allie and Daniel maybe Allie is in trouble some family crisis that Daniel hears about and he comes to the rescue with Johnnie as they have been friends ever since the tournament.
37:20 Billy Zabka's answer right there. So prescient to the has-been, surly, present-day John Lawrence and his dojo of misfits. The Bad News Bears is an underrated classic. Watch it, and you'll see some of that coming through in the revived Cobra Kai dojo. The new series is excellent with some great acting and characters struggling with their personal issues that aren't always so black and white. And you find yourself rooting for the John Lawrence struggling to rise above the bully in him. Thanks for putting up.
9:40 foreshadowing...? :) Still my favorite series.
The guy running the interview up on the stage...isn't he the guy who plays the pawn shop owner/runner on Cobra Kai?
Crain kick all that is, is if you look closely it's a quick front snap kick.
Michael Mills no, you're wrong..no one can block it..its impossible
The rheee yo like mucha at Ralph I Love
9:45 Little do they know what's coming in their future
This must have been filmed like RIGHT before Cobra Kai got the green light.
Ralph heart throb? Better look up photos of = William Zabka , he was Ripped back then 😎
Yes, William Zabka was my crush then and I rooted for him. Not only was he ripped, but he was tall and handsome with great hair that he still has until now.
Mr Plinkett asks a question at 13.20 lol
you mean at 13:20?
that guy either likes tater tots and football or he did a lot of drugs back in the 80's and 90's.
This is before the cobra Kai series lol crazy I wonder if they knew about it yet during this
At 3:03 was that terry silver walking by ??!!
younger version
