When the pieces interact with something, you might want to add sound effects; the sound will be related to the objects they are interacting with and what the pieces are suppose to do in the said interaction. For instance, a sound of a rock breaking will play when a miner interacts with a rock; a watering sound will play when a farmer interacts with a crop; etc. Naturally, you can turn this off or set a cap on the number of sound effects that can play at the same time.
This looks really good! I think one cool idea is basically a town hall. You use resources to upgrade your town hall, and when the town hall is upgraded you unlock new crafting, new units, and new types of building like arrow towers, or bigger houses. Tying into the house idea it would be cool if you needed to be able to house all your units before getting new ones so that you can’t just explode in population. Overall this is your game though so you make the calls!
Now I'm thinking; will there be a way to enter new eras? For example, going from medieval to tudor, and then tudor to industrial, then industrial 1900's, 1900's to modern day, ect? Seeing as the name of the game is literally "An Eleborate History of Chess" I'd assume so. This would be a really cool mechanic, almost like a contsant goal to be pushing towards. It would also increase the play time by a lot.
This is chess on another level. What a twist. Your game looks much more engaging than my. Maybe one day I will get better. Congratulations to you and keep up the great work. - Dan
looks good! I think it’s still a little bit cluttered and I think it should be an easy to pick up hard to master situation, so maybe some more new player friendly features?
I'll talk more in a future video about dungeons that offer a lot more of the usual chess- turn-based gameplay, which definitely has a lot more of the easy to pick-up hard to master vibe :) generally the outside world is fairly easy to play about in to allow for more mechanical exploration
It's cool seeing how many new features y'all have put in, only thing I noticed is that it's hard to tell what level the Rooks/Towers are, do they tell you the level on hover? The last 3 especially look similar!
I thought this channel had like 10k subs?! So underrated.

Happy chess noises. Looking forward to it.
I'm so excited to play this when it comes out
