You don't remember much of you parent's the reason you had the nightmare where jinx was gonna is because that's what happened do you you woke up one morning and everyone was gone your family forgot about you so you grew up alone until silco found you and you attach to jinx as soon as you met her
My own little headcannon is you have a scruffed up stuffy you carry with you at night like you cannot sleep without it
