It could possibly be, but if you're in your van and give it 2500rpm and you feel heat, it could be low coolant, but if not, then it's your heater core or check your temp gages control also.
That slot is a joke you still have to pull the bolts I usually take and grind an angle on the housing put the bolt in then you can slide the housing on with the Bolton place hopefully that helps that helps somebody I'm about to do one of these for a customer I charge $150 to do them

I would never use torch like that - too dangerous! Could've ignited fuel lines! You can get piece of hose at parts store. Also - start up engine with hood still open so you can check for leaks - I keep radiator cap off to monitor coolant level - it usually will need more coolant added because air is trapped in system (air escapes thru opened radiator cap). Some bolts are a real pain to reach - especially on newer cars! Sorry if I seemed a lil' pissy...just wanted to present some helpful advice...ya'll take care...enjoyed the video! (I do all repairs on my vehicles including engine /trans rebuilding - done it for 30+ years). 😊👍🇺🇸
A heat gun would be better than a flame torch when working around fuel systems. But actually, neither method should be used around fuel. You scared me for a moment. I thought you were going to have an explosion. Good video otherwise.
I loosened that bolt, had to go almost to the last thread to get the pipe out, when I tried to yank it out, the bolt popped out, just like the vid. I just gave up and left it out. F$&@ it...

You have to take the bolt out the thermostat is in the way just easier to completely remove

3.9L thermostat is in a tight area below the front passenger side. Real tight spot

What idiot put the thermostat there?! Anyway, the first video I saw on this thermostat swap did it from underneath! I may try it your way.
It's nice to work on your vehicle. The way they are made now you need a PHD in engineering to fix.
