This is exactly what I'm looking for! I could never get shallow enough and wondered how all the pros get their left cheek showing at impact! I'm extending too early and too steep because my posture is poor at setup. Would longer clubs be a help also I reckon mine are a bit short I'm 6'1

What is the very best way to learn a new movement in golf? The move you describe is so important...and I want to learn it so well that it becomes automatic. I am thinking it is maybe more than repetition....slow, half swings to start perhaps? How is the best way to learn this move?? Thanks.
Hi Joe, yes to start with you need lots of slow repetitions and then progress up to hitting half shots before moving to full shots. Also, I like to exaggerate the new move as much as possible. The whole feel vs real is so true. It never moves as much as you think. Cheers

I am guilty of this but my problem is that I feel like im going to dig the club way into the ground as im getting closer. perhaps my rotation is an issue??
When I increase knee flex at start of downswing, I invariably hit the ball fat.

For whatever reason the concept of keeping the head still and not lifting it in the downswing was lost on me. Consciously not lifting the head has resulted in feeling like I'm swing around a centered axis and delivering solid strikes through the ball. Most instructors talk about maintaining the posture and axis tilt but don't mention the importance of the head in the downswing. Thanks.

Obviously the golf swing is a very complex and unnatural movement for the human body and the mind……and a golfer can understand the theory of the swing on all the various movements and weights shifts that need to occur in a split second to achieve success…however none of the golf instructors online teach how to progressively create the swing to engrain it into the muscle memory of the body….rather than trying to implement all these movements at once…..what do you suggest for an amateur golfer training routine…thanks
