Out foking stan dingggg months now I’ve been working on the two handed backhand, lots of videos, trying to make it work. I came across this today while hitting off the Slinger inside. Changed everything. A perfect video to learn. I’m left-handed, but I swing a golf club and a baseball bat right handed so this is a natural swing path for me. Two handed backhand. I was getting instant success following your instructions. Thank you, thank you thank you
This video was fantastic. Practiced yesterday with the ball machine and used it all morning today and it freaking worked!! Note - I found that keeping the go get straight was the key and if my finger felt hyperextended it was because I needed to move my entire grip lower in the paddle.
The part the resonates with me the most is the how she holds the racket flat down at the start of the upswing. Finally I am now hitting line drives rather than fly balls. Thanks!
Is miss gripping your backhand grip a common thing where 90% of the people use the finger on the backhand? I don’t notice myself having that problem. Maybe I’m not seeing when I mess up.
I have my non-dominant hand's index finger slightly off-center to the left mostly because having it directly in center causes my wrist to tighten so it's hard for me to drop my paddle head for some topspin. My non-dominant hand is still in eastern grip though. Am I losing too much by not having the index finger directly centered on the paddle face?
The only issue is she doesn’t close her paddle like you were explaining on the swing path. She keeps it open and compact the whole time. Her paddle face is never horizontal to the ground but maybe I’m wrong.
Pretty sure, defensively, she steps hits dominant foot and swings left foot around semi-open to open stance and then you say she step/hits with her non-dom foot and demo what she doesn't do
It’s not a front foot or rear foot though. That’d be too confusing. You can’t define what foot is front foot, only dominant and non dominant make sense for everyone including lefties. Hope that helps!

Good stuff! That’s what I like to hear 👂 glad it was helpful my friend!

That’s what I like to hear my fellow pickleball fanatic!! More videos to come

You got this!
Nice dissection of the Waters BH. We call watching the ball at impact 'Taking a Picture'.
Love that. Definitely heard that my fair share of times haha! 🤳
How Quang Đường’s 2H BH grip and swing motion compare to ALW? Any deltas between them?
I am not sure. I’ll have to do a future video on Quong BH!

It also has a lot to do with not having much room on your handle. Putting that finger up there saves you some space.
Thanks for the reply! Do you lose power by using your finger?
Great video! How do you find these empty courts lol
It’s well over 100 degrees in St George rn ha ha
Film mid day in 115 degree weather and try not to die! Thats the secret
Keeping the head still is a similair technique in golf as well that I learned early on
Yes! It actually is in every single sport including baseball! Keeps it extremely accurate!

Good point. I guess she’s not 100% center anyway. Definitely off to the side on an angle but close to center
thank you for this video
My pleasure!
The left index finger on paddle is bc the handle is short. 5.75-6 inch handles are much better for twoeys. IMO.
That’s definitely part of it!

She actually does! Slow it down to see 👍
Killer vid!
Thanks!!!!
How does she hit with so much power everytime and not go out?
Honestly, I need to ask her haha she gets so much power!!!
Why do you say “now that you know how to hit Anna Leigh’s serve” at the end since the whole video is about her backhand?
Haha cause I misspoke.
Yessir
Booyah!!
Great vid!🔥”Trigger finger itchin” 🔫
Oh yeah!
interesting Closed Captioning opening
Why’s that?
@@pickleballplaybook start the video and read the first CC
Oh I see 🤣
I disagree. Connor Garnett.
Collin Shick on the mens side 👍

On some she does! I think I mention that in the video. Depends on where the ball is
Great vid! However, must be a clearer way to explain eastern. To the viewer looking in it’s not clear.
I’ve explained it in a lot of previous videos. I guess I’ve become lax with it!
You forgot Quang Duong on the men’s. Dude could drive anywhere
Anna Leigh’s is better. Sure he’s got man strength but she’s doesn’t lose!
My left-handed one hander is awfully good..
Just sayin...
Haha I like to hear it!!!

;)
She never puts the Head down, parallel to the court like you're demonstrating. Just not seeing it.
Freeze the video 👍 that should do the trick 😊
I wish you would drop the Dominate and non dominate language and just say front foot or rear foot.

How about no
@@pickleballplaybookExactly
She does not have the BEST backhand in pickleball!
You’re right… Your mom’s is better.
Haha she has better form than everyone. Sure she’s not a man with man power but girl dominates!
