  • Already nine large-scale solar projects are either operational, under construction or planned for four counties within an hour’s drive of Cincinnati in Clermont, Clinton, Highland and Brown.

    The cattle and sheep will be very happy grazing under the panels.

    My only problem with this is that there is very low sunlight for half of the year here. Solar area lights often stop working in this area during the winter because they can’t charge up.

      You don’t need direct sunshine, you might want to re-write or re-educate yourself as solar panels don’t charge themselves! PS earths not flat and the Russians don’t care about you lol

    Zero good reasons to put solar panels on perfectly good farmland. And good luck pulling up the panels, posts, wires, and concrete so you can farm the land once the lease is up.

    Nuclear Power = Yokels Whine
    Solar = Yokels whine
    Power Grid Goes Down Routinely
    Solution : Ignore Yokels.

    Rather live near a solar farm than a real one that's routinely using heavy equipment and chemicals throughout the year. Moreover, as mentioned by the owner, the panels aren't forever. The land underneath is still there and with minimal effort can be farmed again. It's not as if they're building houses or a shopping center. Also, the alternative of wind turbines that cast flickering shadows, noisy, and kill a lot of wildlife would be worse. Solar is often the least disruptive renewable energy option.

      You clearly have never lived near one of these solar power plants…

      One hail storm busting through the glass on those "green energy" solar panels will release mass quantities of heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, arsenic and silver into the soil.. Enjoy your "metalically enhanced" food products.

    Wah Wah Wah! OMG what CRYBABIES!!! Imagine that: DUST being kicked up during construction! Why, that NEVER happens when you plow a field, ever!😂😂😂😂 And then there's Brown County Treasures Connie Patrick, why, I'll bet she's NEVER got a late payment on any property, ever!

      I have a solar farm surrounding me and yes the construction phase was a nightmare. They pushed up 1200acres of thriving pine trees into piles and set them on fire as well as the dust and noise. But more than that we had to drive through the construction to go and come from our house. One one occasion we were almost killed by a large piece of machinery another time by the time I got to the top of the road I had two flat tires. We have nothing to do with this project why should we have to suffer for it? After the construction was completed you'd think it would be better but the thing buzzes. It's a sort of mechanical hum and it's ALL DAY LONG!! It also disrupts our TV, internet and phone signals and it has either run off or killed all the forest animals in our property. I just wonder what it's doing to us living in the middle of this thing.
