I imagine Drai is gonna get very paid. Probably the richest contract in the league. My hope is that maybe McDavid pulls the Sidney Crosby thing, and gives us a bit of a hometown discount to give the team enough space to surround him with a winning formula.

Reality is that Draisaitl wants back pay and he deserves a good contract. Will definitely get 13M max term.
Problem is mcdavid is going to take max $ when he resigns and Bouchard is going to get overpaid too.

Kane will probably not be on LTIR for season start, they are looking to trade ceci or kulak. I’m assuming ceci will be traded

Why would he take less than Matthews. It's cap percentage not dollar figure. 13.85 is same as matthews, even though he's 5 times better in the playoffs

This analyst is so bad, Drai is either signing 8 years or walking. He isnt pulling a Matthews and screwing the team on money and term. He has loyalty to the Oilers unlike Matthews with the Laffs
People need to stop worrying so much about where he's going to be after an entire 'nother season with the Oil. Be focused on winning now, and if Leon leaves the Oilers a Cup Champion and moves on to the next adventure, I say that is all that matters

This is a negotiation tactic. Leon is the one who needs to get it done. Not the oilers
I don't think it's e necessity to get it done this year. He's going to do what McDavid is going to do and McDavid will sign next year and in sure Drai will too. I'm not worried

Drai was injured…he did not bomb …yes the last series he was off his game but the rest of series he was very good!

I disagree. Making back to back Finals only happens in the East, not the West. Florida, Tampa and Pittsburgh have done it in the past decade.

Edmonton does not see the value of defence , they have no money left to sign Brobert . They don't have another defenceman who has so much potential. And Edmonton lost because the inability to get out of their end ,and giveaways in their End.
