I agree with you on trusting my comic shop, they pack them very well, they take care of their customers and sometimes, yes the price can be high but it's your discretion in how much you're willing to spend, otherwise the trust is there.
I like that one character/ one title question - great question - I would collect Fawcett Captain Marvels if I was forced to collect only one character/title.

For example I read Batman by Loeb and Sale in omnibus form during the Halloween season.

I had previously asked about the political beliefs of Golden Age comic book creators that you weren't able to get to, but in the mean time found out through an older episode of The Comic Book Historians that Lev Gleason, of Silverstreak-Daredevil fame was a card carrying Communist who used his publications to impart some of his ideas. So I thought that was interesting. I have a new question though: I'm familiar with the acclaimed Argentinian sci-fi comic strip, The Eternaut from the mid-50s. Are you familiar with any other foreign language superhero or sci-fi comics from the Golden or Silver Age that people should check out?
