I didn't know this was new. It's been sitting out in my Michael's store for at least 3 weeks. Today when i was in the store the essential bundle and other materials were already in stock.
I just want a laser that can do more intricate cuts with paper (than I can get with a Cricut/Silhouette/Scan N Cut, etc.). The size and profile of this one looks very promising! I was considering the M1 X-tool but now I'm really glad I didn't pull the trigger on that one just yet. Thanks, Sean & Ken! So exciting! Oh, man. SUPER exciting!!!
This might be the machine for me to venture into laser cutting. This is much more reasonable for a hobbyist like myself. Plus my hubby can incorporate it into his wood crafting.
First of all... you two look so handsome in your beautiful graphic shirts!! 💙💙💙 Next, THANK YOU for sharing this amazing info!! I'm so excited. Hoping it comes out before September so I can ask for it for my birthday!! 🤣🤣🤣
I was wondering why I couldn’t find anything about this online after I saw a display in Michaels yesterday! Thanks for the info! Im definitely excited for this!
glowforge needs to bring a machine stronger than 45 co2 power, an even more professional machine that cuts thicker materials and put more resources like in P2
if my space was bigger I would be the first in line to buy it. It's expensive, yes, but the potential is enormous. AND unlike Cricut, they allow any brand material, any DSP brand etc.. I really don't like Cricut, anything they sell as "inovative stuff" we find it elsewhere for a cheaper price, same or better quality. Thanks guys for showing us this new machine. Now we have to wait for it to be available in Europe.
You made me happy and sad at the same time. Happy because of this comes on the market maybe i can finally buy a lasermachine. Sad because it will probably be for US first and like always Europe pretty later…. Thank you
The 6W power and size of this is going to be very limiting. It might say 1/4" material, but that's a bit of a stretch. It'll make a nice entry-level machine for those who can't afford anything else.
I wouldn't mind this. I have the 30W Co2 Flux Beamo and I was looking for something that I couldn't have to really have a heavy-duty ventilation system for. Plus those lasers now go up to 30w.
Again Michaels let the cat out of the bag…. I would probably buy this before the new Cricut. Ken have you thought about an new channel with unsolved mysteries you are REALLY good at finding things. 🤣
There are a lot of lasers on the market in the $400+ range and Some do cut thin sheet metals or do metal engraving. Where this stands out is unlike cheaper alternatives, it comes as one unit. You're not required to buy shields or "mats" . It comes assembled and vented as a unit. The cheaper lasers don't. Most are an erector set construction with a motherboard, rails and motors. Everything else is sold separately and doesn't have any support. Glow forge has customer service support, video and communities. So what you're really paying for is convenience support and hopefully a better warranty. Also width. Most of the rail systems are very limited on applications and apps. For entry level, like me, it gets complicated and confusing.
Thanks for sharing those details! I pretty much only want to cut paper and to test my files and an enclosed machine like this is less intimidating than the erector set style. Maybe it's not any safer, but it "feels" safer and, well, it looks so much more attractive when set out on a desk or work bench than the others, LOL!
@@JulieEbersole it's safer because they give you all the safety pieces but obviously you will need to know temperatures, cut depths and all of those settings because it's entirely possible to set something on fire in a glow forge. I've heard that it's happened. best of luck if you take the dive!

Will it need ventilation?
It’s on display at michaels today in Garner, NC
Wow, did you see the price?
Boy!!! You’re on a roll aren’t you!? I’ve been excited for this one

Looks cool! I wonder how this will compare to the xTool?
Why haven’t they incorporated rotary function 😢 The xtool m1 seems like a better option for the same price point 🤷🏽♀️
I would love to know more specifics as in thickness of what you can cut
Diode lasers are everywhere for extremely cheap. Glowforge is really gonna have to bring it to make this worthwhile.
Names, where?
I was wondering why I couldn’t find anything about this online after I saw a display in Michaels yesterday! Thanks for the info! Im definitely excited for this!
Ken, you are on a roll and I love it!!!
You got ALL the TEA today Ken!!!

I love my Glowforge both of them. But I would love if Glowforge could engrave on large cups so a cup turner would be great.
I’m watching now. Did you talk about how it compares with the M1?
If it’s a diode then isn’t basically a xTool M1?
This actually makes me excited! Thanks for sharing!

Diode lasers will cut color acrylic, but not clear or white acrylic.
Omg love yours and Sean’s shirt!
Someone at Michael’s getting fired for this one. It’s a shame too cause we’re all human. But Ken, you are amazing!
I am very excited!! It would allow me to finally be able to get one.. I can't wait.❤
This sounds much more interesting than the new Cricut Adventure for about the same price.
What is the Cricut Adventure? Is there a picture or web address for this machine?
@@junc7249Cricuts new wide format cutting machine.
@@junc7249it’s actually called venture not adventure. There are YT videos for it as well
Ooooooooooh now this IS exciting!!!!!!!
Yeah but I would still go with the x 1 tool because I mean glowforge is a really good brand but for that price the X1 is still better
You made me happy and sad at the same time. Happy because of this comes on the market maybe i can finally buy a lasermachine. Sad because it will probably be for US first and like always Europe pretty later…. Thank you
WOW!!! Great news!! Gotta start saving my $$
This will up the crafting potential of users. I like that a company has finally crossed the line for cutting. Excellent move.
Can you find leaks about the big thing that’s coming for the Procreate app?
I have that same color cabinet, from IKEA and love it holds a lot of stuff. I got the xTool D1 and would have to look at this one too
Do you like your xTool D1? Does it cut wood or can you laser stainless mugs?
Why not just get a laser cutter, like the xtool, which is much less money? What would be the difference?
The size of this reminds me of the Flux Beamo, but the beamo is a co2 desktop laser
If I had the money, I would definitely buy this. We are just hobby crafters at our house so I guess I better save.
P2 55 laser Power
Right -this is going to be like 10W!
@@UnderwaterMarylandis that decent for small projects?
Can’t do metal like xTool D1?
Closed caption please
You need a new channel.... Kenileaks 😂

hummmm, glowforge the first to bring a desktop laser? Hey XTool, M1wanna chime in here?
Dang so I'm gonna have to choose between this and the new Cricut Venture.
🌴Kenny this is exciting news!👍🏼

I love you playing super sleuth - lol!
Yes! Much more affordable for me anyway!!
Will it have rotary cutting abilities? Like to laser engrave cups? Nevermind you just answered it, probably not because not deep enough 😊
Ken I love you. But, please let Sean talk! 😢
7pm July 19 - Michael’s link is working 😃
$7,000!!!!!! I thought the thousand for the venture was too much.
It's not 7000 that was for a different kind. This one he showed is $1200.
The glow forge pro is 7000.00 and the basic is 5000.00 the one he is talking about is 1200.00
Guys…..you must tell us where you are buying your shirts!!!!!!!!! I will have Christmas presents to buy for my Disney fanatic family!!!!!
Those are RSVLTS (Roosevelts). I own a few myself and stumbled onto this channel because of the shirts!
@@PirateNovelist thanks!
