Also remember that 4% of 75 is the same as 75% of 4. The math behind this is easy... (4/100 * 75 = 4 * 75/100) through the commutative property of multiplication. So, you can "pick" the easiest way to do think about it.
That’s what I was thinking as well. I accidentally worked out the % of opposite number, and the answer was same, I tried out with other numbers, % of both the numbers it was the same. So it’s better to work on which ever is easy to calculate. Thanks for the confirmation.,, now I am confident it works for real. hehe.. 👌😜😬
Still there another easiest method than this Example.:: 1.20% of 40 Just take a point from the end i. e. 4.0-->which is 10% of 40 Similarly 20 %of 40 =10% of 40+10%of 40=4+4=8... Example 2: 61% of 30 As said in the above example 1 Same... Take a point before the given last number.. i. e. 3.0 which is 10% of 30.. Now 60% of 30= 6×3.0=18 And to calculate 1% of 30.. We have to take a decimal point before the last two numbers.. ie..1% of 30=0.30 So 61% of 30=18+0.3=18.3 Example 3: 43 %of 25 10% of 25=2.5 1% of 25= 0.25 So here 40% of 25=4×2.5=10 3%of 25=3×0.25=0.75 43% of 25=10.75 Hope useful for someone...
I have not practiced or touched it for long but today in a test i have had this problem, it took me too long to make the right answer and as i saw the title of this video it made me deeply interested the way it is taught is such a time saving trick. I like it, it is very good!!!!!!!
The key to this percentage calculation is to be good with percentage parts and fractions. 10% is 1/10th 5% is half of 1/10th i.e. 1/20th 20% is 2 * (1/10th) or 1/5th And lots and lots of practice + your multiplication / addition skills will come to play.
Let’s prove that x% of y is equal to y% of x. This is the same as saying 0.01x*y = 0.01y*x. Multiply both sides by 100 to get x*y=y*x, which is a true statement due to the commutative property of multiplication. This is helpful when you are trying to find for example 42% of 30. Instead of doing 4*(0.1*30)+2*(0.01*30) just do 3*(0.1*42). This results in 12.6. * means multiplication and x and y are variables.
This is so helpful. I was really worried today because tomorrow I have school, and we are doing percentages. I looked at every single video until I found this. My life has completely changed from this one video..I can't thank you enough God bless you. Thanks again!!
Do we have to remember all you wrote down? When all you have to remember is 40 x 20%=8, 4x2=8. The next one is 61% x 30 = 18.3 6x3=18 and 1x3=3 add a dec pt. .3 I saw another one where somebody wrote almost the whole page on how to multiply 106x106 or 106 sq. instead of just writing down this, 1x1=1-- 2x6=12--6x6=36 answer 11,236. Or 206x206=42,436----2x2=4----6+6x2=24----6x6=36. Sorry but I like one line instead of a whole page. Thank you
Use the immediately obvious facts that 10% of 45 = 4.5 and 1% of 45 = 0.45 to solve the problem. a) 30% of 45 = 3 x 4.5 = 13.5 b) leaves remainder of 4% to solve for: 4 x 0.45 = 1.80 c) add results of step a with step b = 13.5 + 1.8 = 15.3 This method is generally applicable and quick to solve for any integer percentages of another integer - and explaining out the algorithm takes far more time than the actual mental manipulations of finding the solution.
One of my favorites is the divisible by three trick, add up all the digits (and if it's still bit too large do it until it's not) and if that's divisible by three the number you started with is. Same with divisible by six but only for even numbers :)
What? Are you trying to explain how to determine whether a number is divisible by 3, and divisible by 6? Edit: I guess we are saying the same thing, I just didn't quite understand what you were saying when I first read your comment, hence my diatribe and lengthy response. I just want to be sure people get the right information. For 3, you cast out 3s, it's easier than summing all the digits and seeing whether it's divisible by 3. Example: 13569 You "cast out" that is scratch out/throw away, all numbers, or sums of numbers, that can be divided by 3. For 13569 you can just scratch out 3, we know it's divisible by 3, also, 6 and 9, they are divisible, then finally, 1 and 5, because together their sum, 6, is divisible by 3. this is easier than going 1+3+5+6+9 = 24 which then needs to be checked if it is divisible by 3. And while this number/example isn't too difficult, for a number like 123,456,789 adding up all the numbers may not be quite as easy, assuming you haven't memorized the sum of course. By casting out threes from 123,456,789, we can scratch out the 1 and 2 as they total 3, a multiple of 3(meaning it is divisible by 3), then the 3 of course, also 4 and 5 as they make 9 which is divisible by 3, followed by 6(clearly divisible by 3) then 7 and 8 (which make 15 and is divisible by/a multiple of 3), and finally 9, another multiple of 3. That means you scratched out all the numbers and therefore the whole number itself is divisible by 3. This is easier than adding up all the digits and dividing by 3, well, unless you memorized the fact that the sum of the numbers from 1 thru 9 is 45(which is divisible by three). If I scrambled up all the numbers like, 274,813,596, that's just 123,456,789 written with the numbers in a different order, it may not be so easy. The divisibility rule for 6 is easy, the number simply has to be divisible by both 2 and 3 to be divisible by 6. So yes, it has to be an even number(the definition of being divisible by 2) and also divisible by 3. So if you want to know if a number is divisible by 6, just check first if it is an even number, then make sure it is divisible by 3, if yes, the number is divisible by 6. And finally, by the way, if you are interested, since 123,456,789 is divisible by 3, we know that 274,813,596 is divisible by 3 given the rule. And if we want to know if 274,813,596 is divisible by 6, we check first if it is even, which it is, it ends with the number 6, thus making it an even number, then we see if it is divisible by 3, which it is as shown above, so as it is divisible by both 2 and 3, the number 274,813,596 itself is divisible by 6. 274,813,596 divided by 6 is equal to 45,802,266. P.S. If you are interested. To test whether a number is divisible by 4, just check the last two digits of the number, if it is divisible by 4, then the entirre number is divisible by 4. example: 50,124 Just check the last two digits, in this case 24, is it divisible by 4? Yes (24/4 = 6) So the number 50,124 itself is divisible by 4. To test whether a number is divisible by 8, just do the same thing, but with the last three digits(instead of the last two). example: 50,124 Check the last three digits, 124. Is 124 divisible by 8? No, 124/8 = 15 with a remainder of 4. So the number 50,124 is NOT divisible by 8 (even though it is divisible by both 2 and 4) And it also happens to be divisible by 2 and 3, so also 6, which makes it an interesting number which I picked at random. The divisibility rule for 7 is a bit complicated so I won't explain it here. And I'm sure you know the divisibility rule for 9 is the same as 3, just cast of 9s. And mind you, just because a number is divisible by 3 does NOT mean it is divisible by 9. Case in point, 15, divisible by 3, but NOT by 9, obviously. However, all numbers divisible by 9 ARE also divisible by 3 (as 9 is just a multiple of 3). I assume you already know the divisibility rules for 2, 5, and 10, they are really easy.
2:43 Or simply reverse it. 61% of 30 is the same as 30% of 61 (try them on a calculator if you don't believe me). Take 30% of 61. Now instead of 30%, make it an easy 10%, which is 6.1. But since you needed 30%, you need that 6.1 three times, so multiply times 3 to get 18.3. Now look at the original problem and you should recognize the answer without making any calculations. Put another way, when you're fortunate to have either number a multiple of 10, make sure that number is on the left, then figure how many 10% of the number on the right you need. In the example, you need three. 10% of 61 is 6.1, and three of them is 18.3. If the problem had been 61% of 40, this is what you'd do: First, change it to 40% of 61. How many 10% of 61 do you need? You need four of them because there are four 10% in 40%. So take the 10% of 61, which is 6.1, and multiply times four. 6.1 x 4 = 24.4, which is the answer. After doing a few of these, you'll see the answer as soon as you see the problem. When I see 61% of 30, I see three 6.1's, or 18.3. And I'm no mathematician. Math was always my worst subject. Both are great techniques.
this is actually the way ive always been doing it even before i started looking at shortcuts on youtube... it makes so much more sense than just mechanically calculating, which 99% of people won't be doing on a daily basis and it's better to be approximately right and perfectly wrong.
How I calculated 34% of 45 in 4 secs without seeing video and calculation: 3 parts of 45 = 15 3 parts of 100% = 33.33% If we take, 45=100% Then, 15=33.33% Automatically, answer will be somewhere around 15.3 *P.S I haven't see this video yet, just solved the question given in thumbnail by my own way to solve.*
34% × 45 45.0+5.0 = 50 | 5 = 50 × 0.1 34 × 50% = 17.0 17-1.7 = 15.3 This is how I do it in my head. I just keep moving things around and turn it into multiple simpler equations. With enough practice, you'll solve this almost instantly. Once you realized the patter of numbers, you'll just guess/estimate and it will most likely be correct. Hahaha. Somehow, it's like magic.
22% of 30 is very very amazing step this step clear my all concept or wesy bhi is way sy kisi bhi digits ki % nikali gay Wo bhtt easy tariqy se nikl aa rahi he thanku so much 😊
please calculate so people may understand what and howto calculate the answer you are just guessing by calculating in mind that is not at all correct and logical to teach my brother.
Here 25*40= 1000 for getting % you need to divide the number with 100, So 1000/100= 10 and same goes for 3%, 25*3= 75, now 75/100= .75 Total= 10+.75 = 10.75
This takes about 45 seconds if one thinks efficiently. Amazing how concise and prompt you were, allowing me to feel less stupid very rapidly, thank you.
I found my own way of getting percentage of any number when I was having trouble calculating it For eg 9% and 24% of 93 So multiply the no. Put 2 decimal places before it like 93*0.09=8.37 and 93*0.24=22.32

Not so good method because it still needs some complex calculations like you showed 22×30. Also we can get 22×330 So how can we just find these products in our mind?
Science Help Multiplying by multiples of 11 is as easy as addition. e.g. 14 x 33 --> 14 x 3 x 11 --> 42 x 11 = 462 (When multiplying a two digit number by 11, add the digits and stick it in the middle (and carry the 1 if necessary). 42 --> 4_2, 4+2=6 --> 462)
Well, I would just like to add one thing ; that the answer for the problems in Just a number not a percentage. So one should not use the units percentage in the answer.
EASY TIPS, PLZ try to practise and remember this •4 (%), (100%, 50%/half, 10% & 5%) then break it down so it’s easy to calculate for eg. [60% of X is (50%+10% of X)]. It’s easy and quicker another eg. [15%of 10 is {10%+5% of 10}, (10%*10)+(5%*10) which is (1+.50) =1.50]. It is easier to break for larger numbers. • For smaller % less then 10, like 2%, 3% 9% etc it’s easier to do it direct eg. 2% of 10 is (10*2/100), (20/100) = 2. • So if it’s 52% of X, break it down to {(50%+2%)X}. 50% is half then calculate 2% it will make 52%. • For 9% you can minus 1% to make it easy. Or do it direct.. Cheers hope it helped… Remember to learn 50%, 10%, 5% so it’s easy to break down. below 10% do it direct 😬
The easier method to know if it is 8 or 0.8 or 80 etc would be taking out two zeros or putting decimal in second place counting from right as it will have to be always divided by 100 instead of thinking which number makes more sense
I got 15.3 in about 5 seconds. I guess people get flustered when they dont break numbers down like we do. Makes it so much easier when all problems just end up being addition, in the end.
Gaming Email because I break numbers down to their factors of 10, then do any calculations I need to do, AND THEN add the two sums together. Ex: 29 x 63 = 20 x 63 = 1260 + 9 x 60 + 9 x 3, or 540 + 27 as it were. So we end up with 1260+567=1827
This method is slower than snail shit . Anyone who doesn't know 20 % = .20 is pretty much screwed anyway . Something so simple is made far more complex than it needs to be .
I am not sure there is an advantage to this method, as my students who are math challenged seem to make math more complicated. This method would likely mess with their minds. But, I am not sure whether my approach would work for them either. I immediately took 1/3 or 33.33% X 45 = 15; and added 2/3 of 1% X 45 or 0.3 = 15.3%. I would quickly realize if I got the decimal point wrong, but my math-challenged students do not. In other words, if you can get my challenged students to understand your method (complex to me), I applaud!
Thank you for your feedback. I will try to make another video will a more simplified version. Your students are in which grade? Also, I have a book on Amazon with math shortcuts. Maybe it can help. www.amazon.com/MIND-MATH-ALL-AGES-Learn-ebook/dp/B017QEIF18
Here is a quick and easy way also guys. Just multiple both numbers in decimal. For example: 28% x 15 is 1.5 x 2.8 = 4.2. 60% x 80 is 8.0 x 6.0 = 48. It doesn’t matter which way you multiple by you will still get the same answer.
Finally someone gets it. This is the way I teach all my employees to find percentages in the fly when mixing formulas. Just move the decimal point over two spaces and multiply. Done. None of this guessing stuff like in the video
Yes basically that’s what it is. I’ve been practicing so say 28% of 25 do 25x.28 and you get 7.00 and the numbers behind the decimal just pretend they aren’t there if you get zeros so the answer is 7
And for 34% of 45 do 45x.34 and you get 1530 so move the decimal two points over and you get 15.30 since the number behind the decimal isn’t 0 you write 15.3 and pretend the 0 isn’t there
@@daijhaqui5447 yes exactly that’s what I’ve noticed is done. Seems a lot of videos make it harder than it has to be. Just using common sense u can move the decimals to get the right answer it seems right.
@@phillipgrisdale948 yeah lol but people rather choose the hard way when there is a given short cut only thing I’ve noticed tho is when you have a 3 digit number times a percentage with 3 digits you place your decimal starting from the left then count to right So 200% of 365 would be 365x.200 and you get 73000 and you place the decimals 3 spots behind the seven but for two digit numbers I just start from right to left
Those saying it is more complicated than it needs to be aren't taking into account he is explaining the work. Kind of like back in school the teacher wants to know how you came up with a particular answer.
X% of Y is equal to Y% of X. For example 43% of 25 is equal to 25% of 43 which is very easy to calculate.
Ye Kya hai
Doesn’t 4 * 2 = 8 then 3 * 2 = 6 so the answer would be 8.6 how is he getting 10.75 please explain
xy=yx
5 % of 10 is 0.5 and 10% of 5 is 0.5 ese
Wow
Also remember that 4% of 75 is the same as 75% of 4. The math behind this is easy... (4/100 * 75 = 4 * 75/100) through the commutative property of multiplication. So, you can "pick" the easiest way to do think about it.

The easiest way is to multiply ur number; for example,
67 x 43 = 2881, and then divide your number, which will be 28.81 :)
67% of 43 = 28.81
Is it relevant for all forms of percentages? Respectfully, thank you (sleepy & reviewing ol' classic mathematics to return to college haha thank you).
This method helps though :) I'll be using it, genuinely, thank you!!
Still there another easiest method than this
Example.::
1.20% of 40
Just take a point from the end
i. e. 4.0-->which is 10% of 40
Similarly 20 %of 40 =10% of 40+10%of 40=4+4=8...
Example 2: 61% of 30
As said in the above example 1
Same... Take a point before the given last number.. i. e. 3.0 which is 10% of 30..
Now 60% of 30= 6×3.0=18
And to calculate 1% of 30..
We have to take a decimal point before the last two numbers..
ie..1% of 30=0.30
So 61% of 30=18+0.3=18.3
Example 3: 43 %of 25
10% of 25=2.5
1% of 25= 0.25
So here
40% of 25=4×2.5=10
3%of 25=3×0.25=0.75
43% of 25=10.75
Hope useful for someone...

Use the immediately obvious facts that 10% of 45 = 4.5 and 1% of 45 = 0.45 to solve the problem.
a) 30% of 45 = 3 x 4.5 = 13.5

example: 50,124 Check the last three digits, 124.

How to calculate point percentage ex 1243 of 15.5%?
simply multiply 2 numbers up and put a decimal after 2 points
Clear. No awful music. No stupid remarks. A digital Drawing Board. No gimicks. Thank you.
this is actually the way ive always been doing it even before i started looking at shortcuts on youtube... it makes so much more sense than just mechanically calculating, which 99% of people won't be doing on a daily basis and it's better to be approximately right and perfectly wrong.
Me, too...my whole life, even before active schooling at age 7. Dam....thought I was some sort of smarty-pants......
3:33 the math can be solved easily by interchange. 25 percent of 43 that means 1/4th of 43 aprox 10.7
You're the real teacher sir! thanks for this. God bless you
Thanks
For Two digit number your method is simple enough. What about three or four digit number. For Eg. 2889 of 72% ?
How I calculated 34% of 45 in 4 secs without seeing video and calculation:
3 parts of 45 = 15
3 parts of 100% = 33.33%
If we take, 45=100%
Then, 15=33.33%
Automatically, answer will be somewhere around 15.3
*P.S I haven't see this video yet, just solved the question given in thumbnail by my own way to solve.*
You helped re-jog my brain... thank god now i can continue my all nighter
wow. my life is forever changed. this rocks! 👍
Now what?
I like the way how you use your common sense. Thanks! It would be a great help👍
Ohh bhai bohut bohut dhanyawad...apka zindegi shub ho ...maa kasam calculate karna nehi araha tha ...apka video dek leya simple doubt clear ho giya.....🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Is it with in 3 seconds?
10% of 45 is 4.5 then for 30% is 13.5
Now calculate 4%=0.45x4= 1.8 ie 15.3 is the answer
.34 x 45= 15.3
The best way to do it
This is very helpful, many thanks to Garg Unversity 👍😊
This is extremely brilliant 💯
34% × 45
45.0+5.0 = 50 | 5 = 50 × 0.1
34 × 50% = 17.0
17-1.7 = 15.3
This is how I do it in my head. I just keep moving things around and turn it into multiple simpler equations. With enough practice, you'll solve this almost instantly.
Once you realized the patter of numbers, you'll just guess/estimate and it will most likely be correct. Hahaha. Somehow, it's like magic.
same but instead of doing negative i tend to do positive as adding is quicker
13.6 + 1.7
Thanks SOOOO much you helped me get 100% on my 7th Grade End of Term Test Thx

How u created this video, what are the gadgets, softwares u used. Please tell me in detail. Tq
please calculate so people may understand what and howto calculate the answer you are just guessing by calculating in mind that is not at all correct and logical to teach my brother.
Yes that's what am also saying g, he is not solving it the way people will understand it, he dnt explain it very well, he was just solving
Look at the triangle show, it's really easy to understand if we follow his teachings really great.
3:21 I still can't understand that one. ://
Here 25*40= 1000 for getting % you need to divide the number with 100, So 1000/100= 10 and same goes for 3%, 25*3= 75, now 75/100= .75
Total= 10+.75 = 10.75
10% of 25 = 2.5
40% of 25 = 10
1% of 25 = 0.25
3% of 25 = 0.75
10 + 0.75 = 10.75
If you are already good at math this is awesome. It works for me. Thanks
Wow! Thnx buddy i am waiting for these types of video

I found my own way of getting percentage of any number when I was having trouble calculating it
For eg 9% and 24% of 93
So multiply the no. Put 2 decimal places before it like
93*0.09=8.37 and 93*0.24=22.32
I feel like everyone capable of solving those problems in 3 s already do

Hey❤️,God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life- abundant and eternal. But we choose to disobey God and go our own willful and sinful way. This results in separation from God.But Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people. You must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation to receive that free gift and eternal life, think about this, have a blessed day💕

How to decide about decimal point in all those examples?
Important and easy method and way of calculating percentage.
Thanks to teacher who gave this important and interesting lecture.
another "trick" is that x% of y = y% of x. For example, the easiest way to find 16% of 75 would be to find 75% of 16. That is just 3/4 * 16 or 12.
Not so good method because it still needs some complex calculations like you showed 22×30. Also we can get 22×330
So how can we just find these products in our mind?
Matt Keno I didn't say that it is complex. I said that 22×330 is complex if needed to be done in short time

Science Help Multiplying by multiples of 11 is as easy as addition.
e.g. 14 x 33
--> 14 x 3 x 11
--> 42 x 11 = 462
(When multiplying a two digit number by 11, add the digits and stick it in the middle (and carry the 1 if necessary). 42 --> 4_2, 4+2=6 --> 462)
Science Help With 22 x 330, we will make 66 x 11 x 10 no matter what, which is easy. 6+6=12, 66 x 11 = 6(12)6 = 726 x 10 = 7260

Well, I would just like to add one thing ; that the answer for the problems in Just a number not a percentage.
So one should not use the units percentage in the answer.
Thank you sir
this taking 6 seconds.........why u guys fake so much
or you just can't do it that fast?
EASY TIPS, PLZ try to practise and remember this •4 (%), (100%, 50%/half, 10% & 5%)
then break it down so it’s easy to calculate
for eg.
• So if it’s 52% of X, break it down to
{(50%+2%)X}. 50% is half then calculate 2% it will make 52%.
• For 9% you can minus 1% to make it easy. Or do it direct..
Cheers hope it helped…
Remember to learn 50%, 10%, 5% so it’s easy to break down. below 10% do it direct 😬
Omg thanks so much!! Helped tons😄
The easier method to know if it is 8 or 0.8 or 80 etc would be taking out two zeros or putting decimal in second place counting from right as it will have to be always divided by 100 instead of thinking which number makes more sense
Yes, you precisely said it right. Even i commented on this. One can't be going on thinking whether or not the no. fits the slot!
amazing.. way to learn and remember ..complex thing easyly
Pls let me know which software you have used to make this video Pls pls....it will be great help for me....
This is actually simple. 34% of 45... 1% of 45 is .45... 10% of 45 is 4.5. Knowing this 3×4.5+.45×4...
I hate you
I got 15.3 in about 5 seconds. I guess people get flustered when they dont break numbers down like we do. Makes it so much easier when all problems just end up being addition, in the end.
Why r u adding
Gaming Email because I break numbers down to their factors of 10, then do any calculations I need to do, AND THEN add the two sums together.
Ex: 29 x 63 = 20 x 63 = 1260 + 9 x 60 + 9 x 3, or 540 + 27 as it were.
So we end up with 1260+567=1827
=15.3 although it took me more than 3 seconds
This was so helpful..
Thank you ❣️

This makes percentages ridiculously simple. My school never taught this method.
Amazing session :) I learned a lot from Vidya Guru English videos as well. Most of the same questions I got in my exams.
My entry test is about to come in few days, hope it'll help

It doesn’t matter which way you multiple by you will still get the same answer.
this is the same as enjoying my favorite anime only that its a sensational fascinating feeling in my mind and I love it
% = Parts of 100
40 x (times) 20% or 1/5 of 100 (.20) = 8
40 X .20 = 8
Finally someone gets it. This is the way I teach all my employees to find percentages in the fly when mixing formulas. Just move the decimal point over two spaces and multiply. Done. None of this guessing stuff like in the video
@Diego Salvatierra - Have a great life .
These examples are very simple
Share some complicated numbers
True
You just multiply the numbers and move the decimal place over depending on the value no?
@@phillipgrisdale948 yeah lol but people rather choose the hard way when there is a given short cut only thing I’ve noticed tho is when you have a 3 digit number times a percentage with 3 digits you place your decimal starting from the left then count to right
So 200% of 365 would be 365x.200 and you get 73000 and you place the decimals 3 spots behind the seven but for two digit numbers I just start from right to left
@@daijhaqui5447 wouldn’t it be 2 places you move it tho to make 73? But yes I agree with you these so called “short cuts”
