As a Welshman of 60 years , I’ve really enjoyed this weekend’s matches, for me England’s performance against Ireland tops the lot, really enjoyed watching that great game. Well played England. Italy v Scotland was fun , Scotland have been much better but credit to Italy ,bravo. France finally found some form today ,unfortunately against us but I was pleased how we played actually , much better . Well done to French players , we were outmuscled today, and what a pass from Chistera , 👏👏. Great wknd of six nations. 🏴👍👍

As an outsider looking in from the southern hemisphere I have to say this years six nations have been entertaining.. The last four results were awesome.. Rugby is a beautiful game when it's play with pace and skills

Par contre, je trouve qu'on est toujours pas top au niveau des touches depuis le début du 6 nations. Dommage pour la mêlée à la 60ème minutes que nous manquons ou l'arbitre était proche de nous accorder un essai de pénalité.

The six nations has been so far bloody outstanding,great games,fantastic spirit,attacking rugby,loads of tries,and the after match interviews show insight and respect for each others opponents,it's all looking up across the northern hemisphere,but it needs to because many teams will be bumping heads with our southern hemisphere opponents in the coming months.
When is that tournament (with southern hemisphe teams) scheduled to start? What is it called? Can you give me some more info about this? I had heard a news about this after the world cup but nothing after that.

As far as international teams go, I support France. In club rugby, I support Bordeaux Begles in Europe and Chiefs and Queensland Reds in Super Rugby.

As an England fantastic match from both teams Wales first half and 10 mins of second half brilliant play but then came the French power Wales were never going to last the whole game against that. Well done France.

3 great games of rugby this weekend. Can this 100+ years tournament get any better? So happy for England, so happy for Italy, and so happy for France for getting some on their rugby back. England will come to France for revenge and to win and France will need to play their best. Is Italy gonna fall short against Wales (possibly)? Is Scotland gonna fall short to Ireland (likely)? I think possibly the most open game will be France/England but will we see the unexpected in the other games?
After their first three awful performances, the French players had no choice but to get a clean victory against Wales. Btw, this fourth round is the best so far (England/Ireland what a great game ! Italy/Scotland was exciting too).

The changes made at 9 and 10 didn’t help the Wales cause. Shame they couldn’t handle the last 20 minutes.

Le Garrec prouve qu'il est vraiment le 1er dauphin de Dupont, le racingman aurait dû être de la coupe du monde à la place de Lucu qui a néanmoins fait une bonne entrée aujourd'hui hormis un placage manqué.
La charnière a joué aussi avec un pack dominateur, Meafou derrière Atonio, et ensuite Tao derrière Colombe ça apporte ! Meafou non éligible à 1 ou 2 mois près nous a manqué durant la coupe du monde. Colombe aurait dû être sélectionné à la place d'Aldegheri.
D'accord avec toi mais si Lucu avait joué le 1/4 je pense qu'on serait champion du monde. Enfin avec des Si on peut tout croire possible mais quand même

Wales were completely lost in the 2nd half. They had no clue what to do.
They kicked away possession which the French returned in fathoms.
I think it is all down to their lack on depth on the bench compared to the French one especially where it comes down to power. That new substitute player Colombe made a real impact for France and provided a power boost at the ruck.
Another great game to watch.
2:12 There's actually a Welsh player pushing France's 12, which creates a gap in the defense. Could have been checked, but no impact on the result.
France 12 ironically does the same thing for France’s first try. So the ref let both go. Can’t complain about that

It was 9 years ago in 2015 and this final round was astonishing
France and scotland are both on a 11 points +4. If france beat england by 69-0 and scotland beat ireland by 8 points then france can win. Ireland would finish 16 points +72 and france would finish 16 points +73 winning the championship

I don'tt think it was voluntary just an unfortunate clash between two opponents but a TMO check would have confirmed whether there was obstruction to the defender. Sometime we just have to let the game flow. It feels as if there were too many forward passes unnoticed or really borderline by the French side. A few did get picked up in the second half. Good refereeing in general although the English referee was kind to the Welsh players with so many penalties given away near their try line in the second half as they were being overpowered.
costello's kicking game is poor, only a sprinting rio dyer can get to them. Wales defence not so good today. They tried an open game to tire out the 8 pack, but forgot about the subs ?
france's open game is just as dangerous. I predicted a 25-19 win for France, but at some point i thought, this could go higher. Wales put under increasing pressure in the 2nd half, they kicked the ball away, and kept it in play for most occasions when perhaps, kicking for territory would have been better. maybe a couple of lucky breaks by france turned the game, but their penetration in attack was most telling.
i look forward to another Italy win next week

What a week! Crazy. First England win over Ireland at the last second, Italy’s surprise win against Scotland, and this. I thought Wales played very well in the first half. The final quarter of the game got away from them. Interesting game.

Wales went down hill when the subs came on.
Certainly not the perfect match from France in term of precision, defence and discipline, but their pack demolished everything and the newcomers clearly brought a much needed energy. The Meafou-Flament duo is promising for the next years.

Might have imagined it but thought I saw a post on here about how ugly Lucu's looks next to Le Garrec' s game.Think that' s grossly unfair.Lucu must be the unluckiest sportsman alive to be playing at the same time as Dupont and Le Garrec.He' s a good scrum.half and I thought his try yesterday was some really smart work.Give the guy a break.He looked unhappy,probably thought the jersey was his after Dupont' s decision to focus on the 7s game.He served his country well in the WC.All that said,I think Galthié should have started with Le Garrec in the first three matches.His speed of pass at the rucks is reminiscent of Dupont at his best; Lucu just seems that bit slower.Couilloud seems to have gone AWOL. Question will be for FG moving forward next year,does he pick Dupont or Le Garrec as his No 1?

Unbelievable that the Welsh national team is being questioned into validity of 6N.spot ..wow . Most successful team with 4 grand slams in 6N history along France and 2nd only to England with 6 championships . And most successful in history. Equal with England on outright title wins . . Obviously a transition due to losing an entire 15 through retirement etc . Also WRU and pathetic 25 cap rule . Lucky Wales weren't as vocally condemning of other nations when struggling .. as throughout history EACH AND EVERY nation in tournament have struggled more , without transition excuse . I believe It has to do with the flag change operated a couple years ago. Sports teams likely adapted the players jerseys.
Dark blue is actually the real bleu of the French flag, a colour that was changed late in the day to look like the European blue.

The blue in the Scots flag varies ( originally closer to denote sky. . The jersey remains constant. There’s also the union flag but the nominated jersey colours until recent years in both sports (check Michel Platini etc.) was more bleu royale.Edit: by Union flag: what is sometimes called the Union Jack. Scotland organised the first internationals in both sports and contrary to reports of Brown shirts are acknowledged to have worn dark blue in the 1870s France adopted a darker blue specifically (as hosts) for Rugby World Cup 2007.

France's jersey color has often changed, between royal blue and marine blue... and sometimes both at the same time (RWC 2007, 2011) ! Both are beautiful anyway.
