But Christ came to earth and lived a perfect sinless life on our behalf, and bore the eternal punishment, Christ died for our sins and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
For those who repent and confess their sin to God and trust in Christ alone for their salvation will receive the gift of eternal life.

It is better to take God at His Word than rest on the traditions and teachings of men. I used to be Roman Catholic - even altar boy 1962-64. That was before Vatican 2.

Yes, it does, and it's NOT the Catholic Church.
One does not simply pick up a compilation of ancient texts and expect to understand everything.
As St. Peter wrote in his epistle “His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.” (2 peter 3:16)
Who are we to base our faith on our own flawed understanding? Our perceptions and feelings? Doing so leads to heresy and division, as we clearly see today.

@@larrypresnall5360No it is the Magisterium of the Church, led by the Pope and guided by the Holy Spirit, that has done the interpretation. Unlike many Protestant clergy, Catholic priests do not interpret the Bible on their own and must follow the teachings of the Church.

False - the catholic church only came to existence in the years 300's when Constantine mixed politics and religion. A Roman traditional church has absolutely NOTHING to do with the churches that the Apostles had been planting all over Israel way before then, sorry to bust your bubble.

Then, around 1,200 years later, a rebellious monk removed several books from the Bible; curiously, those books contain verses that support the one true Church. All you sola scriptura protestants don't want to read THAT scriptura. Well, now you got every Tom, Dick, and Harry starting a "church" in his garage based on a couple of verses from the OT, and one or two from the NT. Jesus established the Church. Jesus established the Eucharist. Jesus established confession. Jesus established authority. Jesus established succession. Jesus gave the beloved apostle to His mother as son, and His mother to the beloved apostle as mother.

I left the Catholic church and converted to Orthodoxy for these reasons. The Catholic Church has been broken for a long time.

What exactly is an orthodox Christian?
Christianity is Natural Truth. It's the way we were designed to live. Not the human-created/manufactured church. Christianity. It's in our DNA. Also in our DNA is freedom of choice. We don't have to accept it. But when we reject it, and live selfishly, we harm others. We can't harm others without harming ourselves in the process. Thus, all this chaos and suffering. When you try to discuss this with unbelievers, they get ugly and insulting, indirectly indicating that it is Cosmic Truth, and they can't handle it.

It’s totally inconsistent that we’d never be philosophical and religious. Even atheists first contemplate such deep ideas themselves, before rejecting them (although even that is simplified, more things check the box of “Religion” then some people like to admit).

From a catholic family, going to the church when I was a kid. With the priest with his "oh ! what a cute little boy", you know what I mean hahahaha Then years of rebellion during my youth, because of their lies, I thought Christianity was bad.
Read: Father Chiniquy 'THE GIFT'. He claimed that the church was pagan, that Roman Catholics worshipped the Virgin Mary, that its theology spoils the Gospel, and that its theology is anti-Christian.

I am catholic and will never change !! I do agree and i saw it first hand that the coruption within the church . I dont go to masses anymore because of tje people i was meeting abd the things that were happening . The TRUE CATHOLIC CHURCH is a beautiful thing filled with tradition and its the church Jesus wanted for his people . What it is today , im sure thats NOT what Jesus had intended to build. I say my prayers and try to live a chatholic life but until some issues change , ill just stay the way i am !!!
A beautiful man inside outside. Age has not diminshed anything in that regard. He is actually more impressive by now. A man with limitless spirit.
When the Catholic Church elected a Jesuit to the Papacy I knew that he would expand the liberal theology that has plagued this church for decades. When you think about his evolving position on LGBT+, abortion etc one comes to realize that this church is duping sincere believers with heretical doctrines.

The Eternal Father does not lead us to Jesus - no. It is Jesus Who leads us to His heavenly Father. With our Blessed Mother, I am separating the human from the Divine. Don't forget that Jesus is both human and Divine in nature. A simple example: I remember as a child whenever I went to my father for a favour, yes, at times he agreed, and sometime didn't. I knew that if I went to my mother to speak to Him on my behalf, my chances of getting what I desired (providing it gave glory to God), for me was assured. Mary keeps nothing for herself. Never has and never will. Her focus is the Will of God. She alone knows the price her Son paid to save us - a terrible price! Her joy is to lead as many people to her son as possible. It is from this aspect that I am encouraging people to seek our Blessed Mother's powerful intercession. Mary is human but highly favoured by God. So many times God sent His servants to warn the masses. So many times, like the OT prophets, the elders killed (or discredited) them.
There is imperfections in all Christian churches. You have to realize that God is perfect and not people and there is gonna be imperfect people in the church. It doesn't mean you should discredit the church because of that.

Read the third and fourth chapter of the Gospel of John and see what it means to be "born again from on high." Read chapters 13 through 17 of John's gospel to learn Christ's "upper room" lessons about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. II Corinthians 5:17 says "If any man (person) be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. To learn the essence of Christianity, read the gospel of Mark twice to learn what Jesus DID, and then read the gospel of John twice to learn WHY He did what He did. May God communicate His holy will to your searching heart.
There were MANY parallel churches set up, even in the days of the Apostles. The New Testament writers, in particular Paul, repeatedly warned of false teachers, false prophets and false angels of light. Christianity was infiltrated from its infancy and changed by the subtle ways of the master of deception!!! Christ referred to him as the “god of this age”, yet most refuse to believe that he even exists in our modern world. How blind we are!
The world is corrupted, and so are some bishops. Pastors, etc. We make mistakes the magistrate's of the Holy Church will never make any mistakes it has been strong for 2000 years

there is a lot of practicing of tradition as opposed to true worship of God in spirit and truth. Those traditions are arranged as such to completely cut off the people from personal access to the Bible and to God through prayer. I don't know if they ever had a fair chance to come to the truth but God does say in scripture that He reveals himself to every man, it is up to that man to accept God or deny Him.
