- This video will show you how to download and install the driver to your PC, so you can connect your Boss Katana amp to the PC and use the Boss Tone Studio software.

I have everything set up correctly I also updated the amp to the latest software and when I select katana a screen pops up titled connection it says katana connection failure please select external MIDI/AUDIO device connection can someone help me

I installed the tone studio on a tablet with windows 10 and it works get I can use a phone cord to charge the tablet I don't need another plug it's easier to use a tablet

driver for the mac is dicey...lots of horror stories...do your research...I own the 50 MK2 and love it..
When I extract the file for the driver it just pops up with the read me and no set up or Uninstall any idea why ?
sounds like you only extracted the 'read me' file. There should be another file within the extract file.

I just bought the MKII, but I can't install the driver.
I installed an update to the amplifier, following steps on the boss page, but it won't let me install the driver. The computer throws me a message that it is not compatible with the operating system, but I have windows 10, 64bits.
I don't know what to do, if you could help me, I would really appreciate it.

Did you download the driver version 1.0.0 for a windows 10? Or for Windows? There are two different drivers.
@@sonnyrocker yes I downloades that one, its the avaliable in the page, and also, I downloaded an update and followed instructions to put then in the ampli, somenthin ".bin"
Then I don't know. I would download it again and try it one more time. May be 64 bit is the problem. I am still on the old Windows so I don't know much about 10. Sorry.

Yes, I love my Katana 50. But if you want more options, get the 100w with the Boss GA-Fc pedal with it.
lol this is late but if you want to use pedals, get the 100. it is way more versatile

I’ve done everything in this video but the windows 10 version, and it didn’t work, it says my drivers are out of date when I reinstalled them 3 times and even tried putting everything on a different drive and still it won’t work
What version of windows do you have? And which Katana do you have?
I downloaded the newest version of the app and it keeps telling me I have an older version what do I do

MY wife worked on this for hours and I think I already tried to message you about how to hook up the Tone Studio....seems like the other comments prove MY wife's frustration

Please check the version of the system working on your KATANA Mk II before downloading the archive file.
Turn the POWER switch on while holding down the [ TAP ] button.
The five EFFECTS indicators display the current version.
If the indicators light up as described below, the system is at the latest version.
BOOSTER :Lighted in green
MOD :Dark
FX :Lighted in green
DELAY :Dark
REVERB :Dark
If the indicators light up in a different way than just described, perform an update.

@@isMike999 It is the software inside your amp that runs the amp. Just follow the instructions I posted above and check to see if you have the latest version. Sometimes even with new amps, they already have older version of the software, just like when you buy games you have to update.
@@isMike999 And after you do the above, and when you have finished verifying the version, be sure turn off the power.
I just downloaded the boss tone studio and when I connect my amp to the computer it says that I need to download the latest version,but when I look at setting in the program it says version 1.1.0 which is the latest version that came out like a month ago.Any ideas why this may be happening?
You don't have the latest version. Boss Tone Studio is up to version 4.0 now.
Having the same issue. It worked perfectly before I decided to update to get the metalcore pedal. Honestly fuck this amp, shouldn't be this confusing

Does anyone else get the message that tells you that you you need adobe air. Doesn’t seem to appear in any of the videos that show tone studio being downloaded.
It asks for a version of adobe air that isn’t available anymore.

Which file? The patches are small size.
@@sonnyrocker I am not sure about this system. It looks like I am not able to use it because of the computer requirements. I have iPads 2 air and it will not work with them. I wish they would have setup an app like ones in App Store. They are so e nasty to use.

I did all that was required and the driver is not showing up in my download.
It must be saved in a different folder.

I see a folder named Roland. from there I eventually will get to two sets of files. Are these the two files that need to be taken out of the folder and dragged to the main drive as the setup looks so much different than in a video I saw where the main folder was on the desktop@@sonnyrocker
I made this video a few years ago. You best to go to the Boss website and check the instruction there for where you should drag the files.

this amp and this software is trash, boss should be ashamed of themselves, I can't get anything to work, all it says is "please update driver" I have the driver updated and installed, you can't get ahold of anyone at Boss, because no one works there, no support at all, emails are auto generated through support and are no help at all. I'm disappointed in Boss, their "customer" service, and this whole experince is troublesome, I will never ever buy another boss product again, I now have a $259 paper weight essentially, this amp sounds like trash without the ability to use the tone studio, no wonder they make you download everything, because they can't get it right the first time, BOSS is a joke.
I don't have that issue and I don't know anyone else has the same issues as you do. did you make sure you got the correct update for the correct version of the amp? You have to check what version you have first before you install the driver.
