Thanks :) The 10497 do need a landing field. I have made one for the LL928 (and LL918 & LL924) together with the Moonbase. You can find it on my Rebrickable-profile.
Do you need extra parts in addition to the pieces included in two 10497 Galaxy Explorer sets? And if so, is there a list of the extra pieces needed to build this MOC?
Yes, you do need extra parts in addition to the two 10497 Galaxy Explorers sets. When you download the instructions, you'll also find a xml-file with alle the extra parts. Import this file in Bricklink or Brickowl to find out which parts. This makes it easy to order the extra parts you need :)
Hi, I've considered using MILS plates, but converting my complete Space-layout, would probably cost me almost $1000, and I don't want to spend that much money. I'd rather build something new :) Which part of the file can't you get to work? I've just imported it to Bricklink. Use the 'Upload to Wanted List', and choose 'Upload BrickLink XML format' and paste the contents of the file. Remember to remove the comment at the top of the file. I've added a picture in the comment for the MOC that shows this. Thanks for letting me know :) I hope this was helpfull?
When I click on the file Extra_parts_in_addition_to_the ..... it brings up this message and a bunch of HTML. "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." As for the Mils plates just make four that you can use at shows. It's easier set up.
You need to copy that text and paste it into the Upload BrickLink XML-field and remove the comment (This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.) on the top like I have done in the example in the description. Then you can add it to any Wanted Lists you want. I've got 30+ plates that needs to be converted if I start converting :)
Looking forward to see it in real life! 😊
Not that long to wait :)
Glorious!
Thank you for your kind word :) It's highly appreciated :)
That's a big landing plate...!
Yup :) That's what it is :D
Now that's a landing pad. Why do I feel the urge to do the same for the 10497

Ja, den gamle ble litt for snau :)
Ja, må ha noe som låser det sammen.

Use a milplate so you can connect via technic pins. In addition you extra parts list for the 938 page isn't working.
