  • How to bring purpose into a fluid painting?! I'm working on it...
I always have, that's why I'm here. WELCOME new and old friends!
Traditional pouring can be challenging when working with a medium that basically does what it wants. Coincidence is a huge part of the charme of fluid art.
Practice, a sense of color and knowing how your paint behaves is needed once you want to bring intention into a painting.
I come from traditional painting and I missed that when I started working with fluid art.
Purpose and Intention. I know, we will never get the coincidence out of fluid art and that's good but my challenge is to be in charge (Control freak problems...)
So, watch me here showing you what I came up with so far to get me further towards that aim.
Thanks for joining me on the journey of experimentation and creation!
You know, that liking, sharing and subscribing really helps, so thank you so much for that!
The spinner I'm using is my own design and creation. I sell these on my homepage and if you want to up your game and create on big canvases, you seriously should check it out!

Boomgel - willie wag tail black

    JoSonja - Aqua
-This little piggy - indigo waves
Magic juice paints, mixed with australian floetrol (1:1)

I know this is an old one, but, gosh… I really love this. You hooked me in the beginning with your subtle colour palette, and I’ve been along for the journey into hide ‘n’ reveal and expanded use of colour. I’ve loved the development and change (you are a gifted artist), but I must say that my eye prefers your older work… like this one. Lovely!

The outcome is beautiful 😍 and your comments are spot on. It saddens me to read the heightened frustration in people who chase the bloom instead of going with the flow.... the acrylic flow.

Their paintings on rice paper is with very watery inks and their brushes. They kind of swipe with the side of their brush for certain effects. Yes it does!
So, what I like about the BoomGel is when used right next to the cell activator, it frames the outline of the cells. It’s very dark and stretchy. It won’t get grey or lose its intensity in any way. I never use it as one of my lower layers, it’s so thick it won’t spread out much. I hope this made sense

Do you follow me on Instagram? Send me a pic so I can understand better, if you have one. I had weird things happen when the weather is too hot. One time my whole composition just melted and dripped down the sides. If you can rule this out, possible you left too much paint on your painting or your whole mix was maybe too thin. It’s very hard to find the real reason unless you try things out and observe. But these are the things that came to my mind spontaneously
