I think a big clue is who we saw vs who we didn't see in the bombing scene, like, people who were zombies like Cheongsan's mom, Nayeon and Gyeonsu, not only did we see them turn and not meet the criteria for becoming hambies, but also we saw them as zombies, meanwhile others, like the teacher, were definitely bitten, yet we didn't saw them turn, nor did we saw them at the bombing scene as if it was kept vague for a reason.
I am more and more convinced that since in the second season there will be a lot of hambies, they will also be able to find a vaccine, and then the bad hambies like Gwinam and Eun-ji will be very dangerous because they will not want to return human again, since now that they are immortal and powerful
hey if the person is infected their heart stops beating and the jonas virus stimulates brainstem. so in short ur a walking corpse if ur a zombie and if they can create a vaccine the virus may be killed but the host (human) is dead. so the zombie cured but the human will not move. i think the only zombies that can be cured is the halfbies. they dont die they dont turn into zombies their heart still beats but they could have seizures when they are hungry.

Eh just because his crying doesn't mean that his afraid maybe a happy tears because he save someone and also guilt for not saving his friend n the bathroom and him saying i don't want to die was his wish just like how eun ji saying why are you doing this while showing frustration and anger
so basically how the virus works.
zombie: when the virus infects you, you start to see hallucinations,bloodshot eyes,and fear overcoming you to turn.
hambie/halfbie: once infected, the host needs to feel a different emotion that is not fear. for example, gwi nam. gwi nam wasn’t scared of being infected, instead he felt rage and turned into a hambie.
an angry hambie and nam ra turned into a loving hambie because she was filled with love when she turned
I hope Geongsu becomes a hambie even in his last moments he protected the group showing his love maybe he could still become, he didn't deserve his death at all
When Gwinam woke up at the library after becoming a hambie he had mild amnesia, he forgot what happened until he saw his eye in the mirror which triggered his memories to return. The same thing could've happened to both Cheongsan and Junseong, it would explain why they disappeared instead of immediately going back to their friends.

I think he's a version of a zombie. Remember when the scientist told that the virus forms differently, so when he got stabbed by the stick with zombie blood, we didn't see him fully get stabbed meaning the virus had little of it inside his body so he had time to turn, more time than regular people getting infected in the series. So, since when he was healing from the wound, he wasn't scared at all and by nighttime he wasnt feared because he didn't knew he was having zombie blood on the stick and only the main group knows about it. So by nighttime when the virus grew and started spreading that time he was feeling cold because of the zombie mild temperatures. But he wasnt feared so either he's a new version of just a half zombie, half human.

Junseong might seem to have timid characteristic but you are right, he does have a strong will to survive while not dragging others down; this also explains why he is not there the next morning while the group trying to leave the auditorium.
Junseong is not an obvious choice and quite low key character. I only consider him as a possible opinion because he did not appear in the end of the bombing scene and disappear after he left the group.
If he is alive then for sure cheong san is alive

Besides Joon Sung, I felt like some characters like the Library Guy and Myueng Hwan are hambies because they are never shown during the bombing and they seemed like they didn't have any fear from getting killed by the zombies.
No, Myueng Hwan was afraid of Gwi Nam can kills him, he is so scary and yelling when he got eaten
But the fact that he is not showing up, when city got bombing is interesting
And library guy is not a hambie, no way, because he is a cowardly put cheong San down, even if he saying that he is not bitten, that shows what library guy is being scared when he being in his situation
I doubt that, both of them where basically peeing themselfs in their final moments.
Idk about Myeong Hwan, he seemed pretty terrified shitless but as a character there’s scope to bring him back to help conclude the bullying arc of the story as he was the ringleader and worst bully (also actor is more famous)
Library kid was just an extra on the other hand. Like sure he could be back for a cameo moment if they really wanted some hambie extras in S2 but otherwise his character serves no purpose and he was a cowardly fearful almost 2.0 version of ep 2 Na Yeon. So he wouldn’t really check off any of the how to become a hambie checklist
There’s far more important characters that we didn’t see in the bombing scene than Library Kid whose name (Jang Do Min) most people don’t even know. I Sak wasn’t shown at the end either, although we saw her become a full zombie but there’s little chance of her returning as either conscious or still a zombie. (It may just be that because she died early on like Minji in ep 2 they just couldn’t bring back the actress just for the bombing scene at the end)

Good point mike. At the start I thought Woojin could be a hambie because he wasnt afraid to get eaten by zombies but he was transformed easily. Jun-seong is probably a hambie because he wasnt shown when the part of the bombing. Maybe he is a hambie?

One thing I've learned with time and life itself. If you didn't see it, it didn't happen. If we didn't see Cheong-san die, it didn't happen. Until we have finalised it by seeing a death, then it has officially happened.

when someone’s body temperature drops, they don’t feel cold, they feel warm because they are colder than the atmosphere around them so they feel warm, that’s why we feel cold when we have fever and at the end where he sacrificed himself, the zombies bit him, but zombies don’t eat each other so I don’t think he was a hambie but about the infected blood in his wound … Idk it’s logical that he would transform into a zombie.. or hambie.

Wow your really right when ep 12 i can actully hear a crack it could gwi nam or cheong san but im guessing its cheong san bc everytime i see a zombie outbreak and someone dies but in the 2nd season they would be alive

mike! it’s me again also remember a few parts ago you said about cheongsan fake death scenes? i thkught he died during when he fell of the bookcase and they all landed on him in episode 5 around 12 minutes in.
When Mr Park was bitten by Gyeong-su and begun to turn, the zombies coming next smelled her but did not bit her.
Jun-seong sacrificed himself and was multiple times bitten. So i think he was not turning into a hambie before his sacrifice.
I have a theory on why some people turn in half-bies instead of zombies.
So we all know Gyu Nam, Nam Ra, and the loser girl rare half-bies right.
So maybe they all became a half bit for a particular reason.
-The loser girl was the first one to turn into a half-bie and she said wanted revenge on the Bully so she became a half-bie
-Gyu Nam became a half-bie after getting bit by a bunch load of zombies and he wants revenge on Cheo-San so he became a half bie. So maybe anyone who wants revenge before they die gets it.
Nam-ra and byeong chan wanted to help someone and we're willing to sacrifice themselves
Choeng San - after bitten he got heat and he said he didn't feared gwi nam so he is also a hambie

I am sorry Mike but there is one detail that breaks theory about Joon-Seong being a hambie and I will give you this detail here when Ms. Park got bit when she was protecting Na-Yeon then few seconds later she hide the student in a music class we see that after getting infected with the virus zombies did not attack Ms. Park, so when Joon-Seong was infected with blood of zombie he should not get bite by a zombie yet he did while protecting the group and what if his body twitching is caused by his thoughts of him getting infected by blood?

The door of the gym was locked when they tried to get out off the gym which was later opened by on Jo's dad. Who locked that! Isn't it a question!? I think this guy really has some relation with locking the door if he is a hambie, he might think that the zombies inside the gym will trouble those who are not infected and locked it, but never knew his friends were inside
