Nam-Ra was smiling so hard at the end of Episode 12. She was definitely happy to see her friends again, but she was particularly smiling at On-Jo a lot. Maybe it's because she smells Cheong-San's scent, but doesn't want to get her or On-Jo's and the rest of the group's hopes up too early, because she knows how it feels; her parents and family, and all. And maybe that's why she stayed in Hyosan after the others were "rescued". Not because there are others like her and she feels the need to save them, but maybe because she is searching for Cheong-San to make her first true friend On-Jo happy, and reunite Cheong-San with the group again, and along the way she is guiding other Hambies/Half-Bies.

I saw from another video that yellow means hope, the broadcasting room was yellow, the female teacher that was with them always carries yellow things, yellow ribbon that was put by on-jo's father that led them to safety. and now i see yellow tapes just gave me hope that cheongsan is indeed alive.
There's a high chance he is alive.
1st the group react at the end. They're surprised, but not surprise as if they see a horde. Look at su hyeok closely he smile a little bit and the other chick look at daesu as if she sees someone who she didn't met for a long time.
2nd the director love to tease cheong san ( how many time we thought "he's dead in next ep)and he said that he already thinking a plot twist for s2 while filming s1
3rd the actor himself said on one of the interview that his character fate is not decided yet
4th cheong san is freaking popular, i doubt netflix would throw a guaranteed move for more viewers lmao
A second season hasn't even been confirmed yet and looks less likely as Netflix normally renews these shows within the first few weeks

I have a theory. Remember that Onjo can tell if someone is a zombie or not based on their temperature? For Isak and Hyeongju(?) cases, they were cold. In Namra's case, which is a hambie, the temperature is normal... So we all know what happened on ep 11... if Cheongsan is a zombie, she would have noticed the temperature, but since she didn't react on it, im guessing his temperature is normal like Namra

Remember If Cheong-San didn't had hope he would have let the zombies bite him after reaching a distance but he still keeps on dodging them as if he had a will to survive and was confident that if Nam-Ra survived so can I as he himself witnessed and rebelled against her at the first place + talking about the heat maybe while running from zombies and fighting from gwi-nam increased his metabolism and hence the heat too. And I will suggest you to watch the ending again as at first even I missed it but when I watched the series 2nd time I found that when Nam-Ra jumps from the roof of the school, On-Jo's expressions were very serious yet emotions were seen in her eyes whereas Su-Heyok had a smile on his face which he always had when he was with Cheong-San.....maybe Cheong-San was one of those who returned back to school as Nam-Ra told to her friends.

The doctor who makes the jonas virus even says that fire is certain to kill them so that rules out Chong San returning
@@Johno1992 In that case, why were some zombies still alive after the bombing? Sure some zombies may have not went near any of the bombing sites but it doesn't make sense that a lot of zombies were near it (bombing sites) the next day. The doctor also didn't do much testing and it could be varied for different zombie-like creatures. I mean they didn't test on hambies but full zombies so we don't know if hambies can be affected by the blast due to little testing and immortality.
I'm hoping they make season 2 they should. I believe hes alive also he was so brave and he played a great role I want to see more of him in season 2

Did you think about Gwi-nams eye? His body always heals every injury but never the eye. I think it can´t be healed because he lost it before he was bitten. There could be chance for Cheong Sans eye to heal. He got bitten first then lost his eye😀

I honestly think Cheong-san is still alive because if you slow down the scene where the huge fire caught up to them, as you can see Gwi-nam was burning while Cheong-san isn't, we still can see his head. I might've think he escaped from the explosion because i can't even see a single student with a gear in it + regular zombies are getting transformed less than 2/1 minutes, if Cheong-san is already zombie then he should've been transformed into a zombie in less than 2/1 minutes but he didn't, he even say goodbye to On-jo, lured the zombies away and even fought Gwi-nam. I still think that there's a 50/50 chance that he's alive or not. Also i have a second theory, at the end of the episode, we can see Su-hyeok slightly smiling while the others are dead serious on their faces. So maybe there's a chance that Nam-ra is with hambies including Cheong-san. Or giving them a warning/message for incoming zombies?
Plus in the end when Nam-ra says she has other people like her, maybe one of them is Cheong-san but she doesn’t wanna say anything because of On-jo and Su-hyeok
If you pay attention too in 7:16 you can clearly see that on the stomach he was bitten while Cheong San was only bitten on the arm.

I totally agree with this theory, there is every detail in the series that we only notice in the smallest details. in the part where the zombie bodies are, I also thought it wouldn't be cheong san because I reviewed the scene where the zombies fall into the hole and realized that there were other zombies with the same uniform as cheong san. another interesting theory, I'm enjoying it more and more. one of the theories you also talked about in the previous video about hybrids, is that at the moment of the bite they are heatred and / or focused on something. do you think in the scene where cheong san is fighting gwin-nan, just before he was bitten, he was feeling heatred? because if so, it is one more point that indicates that he has become a hybrid

Rmbr that in the same episode, On jo has just lost her father. And since they're both undeniably close, Cheongsan prob felt some angerness towards this. SInce not only he just saw his own mother turned into a zombie (in the same ep too)- he prob felt feelings of resentment and regret towards life.
Sometimes, having regrets can either lead an individual towards 1)anger or 2) hopelessness. Everyone did get to witness On jo's dad last moment(ha ri- woojin's older sis is still 19 soo it doesn't count), and since her dad is the ONLY adult after the english teacher.. Cheong san had some hope in here too to protect On jo and be there for her. He is the only one in the group(by now Jimin doesn't count bcs she had already left the group) who has someone they care and love about and see that person: a zombie, and thus, he understands how she feels.
If i rmbr correctly, On jo did show some bits of anger and resentment throughout the time when the group was stuck by the building- she was quiet(She is also known for her hopeful persona soo we cant really ignore this as a fact). I think, for Cheong san's hambie case, we do get both. He prob has the will to live bcs of what both On jo and Cheong san promise to talk with one another-"Let's talk about this tmr" and bcs he IS the only one left in On jo's life.. he probably felt some anger, but he did got a chance to kiss his long time crush- i bet he is actually not lying when he said he's the happiest person in the world. There is some warmth that can't be explained here. And maybe for a new case, Cheon san turn his negative feelings- whether it is anger, regret or resentment, into a will power to be alive. Which was evident by the last moment when Gwi nam and he fell down.
If he is alive, I personally cannot wait to see more of the story and what happened to Nam ra's urges of human flesh- Like, All of us are dead will DEFINETLY surpass other zombies theme series/movies.
@@jasminesab.aaaart yes, I also think that there at the moment, especially after on jo and cheong san saw their parents die, there was a mix of feelings and like you said, that conversation they had in high school, that on jo tells cheong san that later they talk about it, and so does cheong san for on-jo, it indicates that there is still a lot of history for on jo and cheong san, i really believe he is alive and i want him in the second season, just like i want to see nam-ra and su-hyoek

I am soo looking forward for the second season, not only bcs of the characters- also the main villain and plot. I dont think Prof Lee byeongchan is gonna side with the bad zombies- however. His family got taken away by those governemnt people, and i feel like this will lead him and push him to find a cure? or find an even deadlier virus

Anyone remember that On-jo got bitten in the first episode? And later, when she went for the drone the virus mice was smelling on her, but didn't bit her... Is it possible that she is somehow a halbie too? Or that she could be the start for an antidote?

I have a theory that Nam ra can't smell human or humbies scent, only zombies. As much as I remember she never talked about recognizing a human by smell she just recognized full zombies and she didn't realise Gwinam was coming when he was climbing to kill Chong san when they were on the roof or when they hid after they escaped the gym. So when he said she couldn't smell anything, there is a chance than Chong San didn't transfer to a zombie at the first place. He became a Humbie and he was there many he fainted or sth.

1-Namra wasn't able to smell Cheong-san because he was underneath the dead bodies
2- Cheong-san regenerated and left somewhere (maybe to the group of hambies Namra was talking about in the last scene of season 1)
3- this is a scientific reason, as the smell of smoke is much stronger than the other scents and all the other scents just fade away infront of the smell of smoke maybe Namra wasn't able to smell Cheong-san because it was all smoke around because if one area got a fire explosion the strong smell of smoke just be there for 2-3 days and On-jo and Namra went in the morning itself so it makes a bit sense.
I think Cheong-san is a hambie and will be seen in Season2.
If you look closely at 3:24 you can see that gwi-nam’s legs were on fire but Cheong-san’s weren’t that could mean Cheong-san didn’t get burnt and could’ve regernated because Gwi-nam saw the others leave but smelt Cheong-san at the top and in the first 38 seconds of episode 12 you can here the same sound of when gwi-nam regenerates so that could be Cheong-san regenerating and at the end of episode 12 when nam-ra smiles and says ‘they’re back’ she might be talking to Cheong-san and also ms. park because nam-ra isn’t looking at any of the group members she is looking of the school edge. Dae-su also looks really happy when nam-ra says ‘they’re others like me’ dae-su thinks that ms. Park might be a hambie and su-heyok has a relieved look on his face and thinks that Cheong-san is also alive and could’ve regenerated… :)

Also, I believe the Director did say there would be a possible "Plot Twist" in S2. So, maybe that plot twist could be one of the characters, specifically Cheong-San, actually is alive. When he did get bitten, he fought Gwi-Nam for quite a bit. Wouldn't he had turned into a full zombie by then? Clearly the fight lasted for at least a little more than a minute, and zombies do transform in at least 40 seconds. Also, Nam-Ra is a Hambie right? And she also got bit in her arm but not the neck. Cheong san got bit in his wrist, which is obviously a far part from the neck. Just like Nam-Ra, with Su-Hyeok, he has a romantic desire with On-jo, Nam-Ra became a Hambie because of her will to protect Su-Hyeok, we can also see that when Cheong-San was stuck in a classroom by himself, he only seemed to care that On-Jo was alright and was not injured. So therefore, It's super possible Cheong-San could be a Hambie.
The zombies are runing after Cheong-San because he is making noises so that's maybe why the zombies are following him even is he is a hambie
The only question is, where is he? I mean he knew where they were going.
I think Cheong-san grabbed Gwi-nam to cover himself from the fire and when he fell he didn't get hurt as much because he fell on top of Gwi-nam. Helping him heal much faster and be healthy enough to get up that night and talk to Nam-ra.

She should have been able to hear him too - When they were in the music room there was that scene that showed she could hear all her friends sounds like amplified - She comments on some ones breathing, she can hear/sense Wu-Jin silently fart even though no one else does... Someone clicking their nails together is made to seem super loud from her perspective and she comments the room is "weird" because she can gear all of these noises you wouldn't normally hear... and she can hear the zombies coming before any one else can hear them... So why couldn't she hear it when Gwi-nam climbing up to the roof top?

I guess Choeng San could be alive because at the end Namra tells her friends that there are others like her i.e Hambie, and in the whole series we can see that very less people and uninfected people got out of the city. So basically if Namra says that if there are other like her then probably they were present on the bombing site and they are still alive so Choeng San should be alive, like you said he was at the edge of bombing area. And if Hambie's present near school are alive then for sure Cheong San will be alive. Anyway I would be more happy to see him alive!

I found a yt vid interview the actor of cheong san and sm other actors w him playing a game or asking a question's i think he said that the director has been thinking if cheong san will be alive or not thats what he said and i got a litte bit excited😅 and this vid explains to me if cheong san is a hambie or not😊

It's also probably Cheong-San's stubbornness that turns him into a Hambie as in the eps the zombies are persistent when they target some1 they obv go after them and won't stop untill the targeted person is dead.
What if Cheong-San didn't die, and On-jo's name tag was in quite a good condition so I wonder if Cheong-San left the name tag on purpose and Nam-Ra ended up finding it and that's prob y she was looking at On-Jo all happy(Just a theory obv, have a Great Day)

Also the body that is shown to be cheong-son's body isn't actually his. Because his body shouldn't have been face up because from the way he fell, he should've been on top of gwi nam. The show likes distinct details so I doubt it was a mistake

In order to become a halfbie you don’t care about the zombies and you don’t hesitate and it you care about something else way more. Can someone tell me something that i cant find? When they were climbing from the biology class to the broadcasting room using the water pipe, they met miss park. When gyeong su said that its ok to come down he checked upwards and miss park hit him telling him "are you serious?" and he said "what?". I definitely think that cheong san is somehow alive cause in ep 12 there where some noises of someone waking and moving and so I think cheong san or gwi nam is alive
