When to use PSV with peep on covid cases.
At 13.45 you said if co2 goes up then increase PS.why Wait for ABG.
If expired t .vol.is less then titrate it with PS.please do respond.

Use psv - to wean the patient in invasive ventilation
In covid cases if we dont have bipap machine to provide niv -- then
we use psv mode of invasive ventilator to provide NIV with mask.
In covid cases we use NIV only if -
1. The patient is consious oriented and spontaneously breathing
2.cant maintain PO2- above 55 on NRBM/HFNC
3.To give a trial before invasive ventilation
Next question-
Because ps looks after ventilation of co2 only, not the oxygenation.
In covid cases /ards we require lower vte to prevent barotrauma. So only if patient is going into respiratory acidosis due to increased pco2 ,then we titrate -ps and rr in order to increase vte and minute ventilation

In the PC Bi-level mode If u set up peep at 5 then how much pressure high & pressure support should be ?

Start with minimum pressure support of 5 and then increase it gradually if ventilation (co2) is problem, or if vt required( for minute ventilation) is not achieved
I.e. ipap-10 epap/peep-5..
