cbolanz1 so so sorry to hear of your lose i know what it's like i lost my dad to cancer 6 years ago when i was 16 and same to me this music reminds me my dad is still with me always
Sorry to be that guy but That’s not really true. Your father is dead, he has no knowledge of the living.
@@carlosmuller3565 maybe...maybe not. But until you know 100% for sure (by passing away yourself) its always worth keeping an open mind and respecting other peoples beliefs.

His life has come full circle
This song reminds me that even though people aren't here physically, they are here spiritually, in your reflection. Every time I sing this, I sing it for everyone struggling with the loss of a loved one. They are watching you, they are with you. Never forget that. He lives in you!
Lol
The “retro feeling” of that bass guitar just makes it sound BETTER
Fretless bass my friend, and I completely agree :)
not so retro, fretless bass is in now days especially in tech death music lol.
The beauty about music is that it can be translated into whoever's eyes/ears. For me, whenever I hear this song it reminds me of God's grace and his effervescence.

How can you NOT get chills listening this? Oh my goodness. As a spiritual person, this soundtrack means a lot to me. It's right up there next to the Pocahontas soundtrack.
When I was 2 in 1998, my grandfather bought me the cassette tape of the lion king 2. He died 7 years later and when I rewatched it, it was like a message. Beautiful song.
My favorite Disney sequel, I believe. I used to listen to the sound cassette version of this movie as a child.
Everyone dies. Get over it

They should have done this over Beyonce's song Spirit in the remake.
Was thinking the same thing watching it. Thank you

**lowkey thinks this is better than Circle of Life**
Sacrilege!
But you may be right.
Classic as The Circle of Life is, this song (and the movie itself) is so much deeper, and has so much more meaning. In my opinion, although I love both movies dearly, the second is much more beautiful.
DanniLivesForever you not alone

The goosebumps, the shivers down my spine, this song is divine.
a few years ago when coco came out i wasn't very impressed, when they ask me why specially gen z people i want to show them this but they wouldn't feel the same thing and eventually they wouldn't understand.
He lives in you...literally, the genes of parents live in you. Your father and mother. Just got that today...we are their reflection as well as the reflection of God! Beautiful!
Had to put my 16 year old dog down today.I raised and loved him from the time he took his first breath until he took his last in my arms.I had to play this song while crying tears of joy and sadness
Oh yes I… I understand. When I my Dachshund, sweet Oleander, passed from this life, my sister sent this song to me. My tears flowed and I felt his tender spirit. This song soothes my broken heart.
Thank you James Earl Jones for voicing Mufasa

Rest In Peace James Earl Jones, a true king and legend.
And there are those who try to tell me Frozen has a better soundtrack than the Lion King....LMAO
the fact that this is from the soundtrack of the SEQUEL to Lion King hits that point even harder imo
Frozen is pure trash for a movie a Disney movie no less it couldn't compete with Lion King to save it's life Frozen was trash that was put on a pedestal to substitute greatness while Lion King is the definition of a masterpiece & the best animated movie in cinema history . If anybody & I do mean anybody believes that Frozen is better than Lion King then they know shit about a true movie it's like saying Avatar is better than Titanic or 300 is greater than Gladiator or even Pacific Rim is better than Godzilla get fucking real . P S 300 & Pacific Rim were both beyond bad ass but that's it all show in tail nothing worth crying over .
Steven Jones oof. Your comment is something everyone should see! But like so true. Frozen tbh when it came out I was like "oh.. cool". But like now it's like. "Eww get that shit away from me" if I ever like frozen it's because of the memes
Because Frozen is more recent, it didn't exist when The Lion King came out.
@@jerelminter Lion King is a infinity times more better than Frozen will ever hope to be Frozen is a childrens movie Lion King is a life movie the fact people can try to compare the 2 is insulting Disney definitely dropped the ball with Frozen it was lazy dull & plain stupid really pathetic I even lost a lil respect for Disney for making the movie though my respect may fulling return depending on Lion King animated remake turns out .
This song puts me right with Jesus Christ and God I feel the presence run right up my spine and fill my body with faith love and joy and great hope that love will always defeat evil and there's no love like the lords!

I can't describe how much I love this song. In my opinion is this the best disney song ever made.
yes. this song is so epic
The guys who wrote the music for the Lion King actually wrote so much music for the film that a lot of it couldn't be used. This is one of the songs that wasn't used, but was later used in The Lion King 2.
I wish they'd have put this in the original.
Me too because this song definitely fits in the original more than the 2nd one
demonds thats why
Very true, this song deserved to be in the original film. I actually like this song better than the Circle of Life! It’s such a powerful song!
This song makes me want to run off in the wild, carefree. Nothing to guide me but the shining sun at the crack of dawn and the wind
You won’t tho
Physically no...
Spiritually go for it❤
When do we go ❤
I’ve been lucky to attend Hans Zimmer’s concert few days ago in Dubai, and he played this song within the Lion Ling’s soundtrack. To say that it gave me Goosebumps is a HUGE understatement ❤️
Am I the only one who cries every time the song reaches the part "He lives in you..."
Me right now! 😭😭😭
Noooo 😭😭😭😭😭
It's a song about God and I believe it's from God. It's very essence resonates with our souls. Imo this is the best worship song ever composed.

My father died earlier this week. I put this song on a playlist I created to think of my dad because the lyrics spoke to me. My dad lives on in me, my siblings, his family, and everyone who knew him. His spirit lives on in the people he loved and what he taught us.

When I'm missing Chadwick boseman aka the black panther, this tune hits that sweet spot between happiness and sadness. Truly awesome and the song itself could easily be used in a black panther music video tribute.

Yep. He most definitely lives in our comedic hearts.
I mean no disrespect in saying this, but Robin Williams wasn't in this movie.
Or is there some other reason this song makes you think of him?

Oh, I see.
I think some of the songs from this movie are really underrated. This one and Not One of Us give me goosebumps
