At 8:44 you're searching for friends. You clicked "Find Friends" at the top. When I click that I don't see what you see. You get "People you may know" on the left of the screen. I get that part. On the right, you also get "Add Personal Contacts" and "Search for friends". I don't get either of those. Things have changed since you made the video so how do I see what you're seeing? Cynthia M unfortunately you can’t set up a Facebook business page without having a personal profile page too! If you’re only on Facebook for business then you can probably ignore your Home feed altogether, that just shows you the activity from your friends, pages you follow and the groups you’re in.

Thank you for your reply. I am assuming that the "home page" is kinda like a menu? Meaning I can reach either my profile or my business page from there and I have access to the news feed. Does that sound right? I am getting a feel for things as I work with both my profile and my business page. I am kinda using the profile page as an extension of my business page but posting lighter things as opposed to more heady stuff such as stats and how to tutorials.

Do you have an updated video? My Facebook looks nothing like your Facebook. Obviously they've updated it and, as is always the case, it's less user friendly. Mine doesn't have a blue bar across the top and doesn't have a Find Friends menu, for example.

Unfortunately they are mining every last tidbit about your personal life and both selling it and preserving it for the whole world - and in particular, the constabulary - to use at ANY point in the future. Hi Chris Here's some answers: How to create a group - facebook.com/help/167970719931213 - you can change the privacy setting after you create it too A post is a single update (text/video/photo/link) on a Facebook profile or page. A Facebook profile is for an individual person. A Facebook page is for a brand, celebrity, etc. You can create your own Facebook page and then use that identity to post in your group (eg. I'm Di Coke on Facebook, but I can also post as my Super Lucky page in my Lucky Learners group! Your Facebook profile should always be your real name. I suggest you set up a page with the identity of your project and post on that!

You won't be able to do this (a business wouldn't really want you posting on their page without permission!) - but it is possible to join a Facebook group as a page (if they allow it) and post in there as your business.

When I post a picture on my Facebook It says Like Comment Share ... But I don't like or want the Share ,,, So I would like to no how to change it to Like or just Comment... I've been thought my settings a few times I've asked a few people on my Facebook but they don't no .
You can't remove the share, but you can control who sees what's shared. If you restrict your post to just your friends, if one of them shares the post then it won't be seen by anyone who's not your friend anyway.
@@SuperluckyDi I have seen other UA-cam videos that say you can remove the share button. I have seen this on my other friends Facebook page. Which says Just Like Comment ... Mine says Like Comment Share so my friends can share my post which I don't want....

Got fed up at 13 minutes in. I've just joined up and can see posts for a local dance club with times on (eg 18mins) but don't understand what this time means. Click on it and you're none the wiser and you're dumped off Facebook when you press the back arrow. How or why tf does facebook "community standards" put blocks on peoples facebook profiles just because they posted the exact same content they downloaded from facebook pages that has the same post on their pages for months without there ever being an issue ???? I mean like how does that work lol??? Is this REALLY all about sensoring sensitive content that "facebooks" decide is inappropiate & if so then why not let the people decide for themselves what they want to see or dont want to see in their news feed??? Your posts from private groups may appear in the feed of other members of that private group - but they won't be seen by anyone who is NOT a member.

Do you have an updated video? My Facebook looks nothing like your Facebook. Obviously they've updated it and, as is always the case, it's less user friendly. Mine doesn't have a blue bar across the top and doesn't have a Find Friends menu, for example.
Facebook is changing a lot - I'm afraid I don't have an up to date video!

I appreciate your enthusiasm, and yes - Facebook has good things about it. Unfortunately they are mining every last tidbit about your personal life and both selling it and preserving it for the whole world - and in particular, the constabulary - to use at ANY point in the future. I've considered it for years, but I just can't tolerate the lack of privacy. If there are ways to preserve that, I might consider it again. Anyway, nice video.

Hi Di, my computer just went thru an update a few days ago. I used to be able to see which of my friends were on Facebook at that very moment when I would log into Facebook. The list of friends with a dot next to their name was on the right side. After this update, this feature has disappeared on the right side of the screen. How can I get it back?
Hmmm, first of all try stretching your browser window to the right as far as you can! The list is hidden if your window is too narrow.

Here's some answers:
How to create a group - facebook.com/help/167970719931213 - you can change the privacy setting after you create it too
A post is a single update (text/video/photo/link) on a Facebook profile or page. A Facebook profile is for an individual person. A Facebook page is for a brand, celebrity, etc. You can create your own Facebook page and then use that identity to post in your group (eg. I'm Di Coke on Facebook, but I can also post as my Super Lucky page in my Lucky Learners group!
Your Facebook profile should always be your real name. I suggest you set up a page with the identity of your project and post on that!

Hello Di, I am looking for some advise on how to create posts on other pages + how to share my business page posts to other pages and groups, being new to this social media world, this is what I am doing > searching for pages > browsing one be one > few pages gives me a choice of creating posts and few doesn't, now the problem is... it shows that I can create post from my personal page and not the business page, how can I create post on their page from my business page?, please advise
You won't be able to do this (a business wouldn't really want you posting on their page without permission!) - but it is possible to join a Facebook group as a page (if they allow it) and post in there as your business.

i have 2 more concerns if its not too much to ask, No.1- when we browse pages and want give a like or comment, at the bottom of the post we see icons of like, comment, share and a small icon of our pic, which allow us either to like as profile or page, but few posts doesn't show that 4th icon, in this case how can i like or comment as my business page?
No.2- i want to hide or un-publish my profile page whenever i am making few changes or updates, but couldn't find how to do it, but on business page settings we have a choice of publish or un-publish, how can i do the same on profile page?

It says Like Comment Share ...
But I don't like or want the Share ,,,
So I would like to no how to change it to
Like or just Comment...
I've been thought my settings a few times I've asked a few people on my Facebook but they don't no .
You can't remove the share, but you can control who sees what's shared. If you restrict your post to just your friends, if one of them shares the post then it won't be seen by anyone who's not your friend anyway.

Got fed up at 13 minutes in. I've just joined up and can see posts for a local dance club with times on (eg 18mins) but don't understand what this time means. Click on it and you're none the wiser and you're dumped off Facebook when you press the back arrow. Also re the 'posts' some have dates and some don't and the dates that are shown are not chronological. This is the detail a beginners guide should address, not 'how to shop'.

How or why tf does facebook "community standards" put blocks on peoples facebook profiles just because they posted the exact same content they downloaded from facebook pages that has the same post on their pages for months without there ever being an issue ???? I mean like how does that work lol??? Is this REALLY all about sensoring sensitive content that "facebooks" decide is inappropiate & if so then why not let the people decide for themselves what they want to see or dont want to see in their news feed??? Especially when the user has options at their discretion to filter out anything that THEY see (& not what facebook sees) as appropiate or inappropiate. Since when does facebook "community standards" have the right to against an individuals rights to decide for the user on what is or whats not appropiate when there's options the user can use to sensor out anything that they might see as disrespectful??? & in addition to all that there's no way for you to even comment or add ressthe issue to anybody from facebook community standards as if your opinion on the content you posted on your profile doesnt mean anything...I mean like WTH lol????
