You will be waiting many years yet. We do not have the technology to get all the way to Europa with the type of drill that would be required to drill through anything up to 15 miles of Granite type hard ice
Yep. They can capture a gnats ass in glorious microscopic detail from thousands of miles away on Europa, but can't tell who was in the picture in the White House
I really wish they would show real pictures of these celestial bodies. It would be so much cooler than all of this CGI footage. We’re to believe there are actual photos… I want to see them!
There are relatively few real photos of these outer solar system bodies. Our Earth spacecraft have only passed these bodies a very few times, some only once like Uranus and Neptune, and its moons. As an astronomy nerd I didn’t realize this until recently and I’ve been reading and now watching astronomy stuff for over two decades. I believe they want to portray the images in cgi to better illustrate, as a lot of these images are grainy
As far as I am aware we aren’t able to drill deeper than perhaps 1km on earth. So if the ice on Europa is a minimum 6 miles thick, how are we going to get down to water level? 🤔
So how would you heat up the outer casting of a drill that needs to reach a temperature with prolonged hotness that can penetrate 6 miles of rock hard ice? Europa is so far away from the Sun that Solar power wouldn't be adequate either. I think that the best they could achieve would be to maybe land a rover on the moon, take a few photos, maybe analyze some ice crystals and then that would be it. Flying around the moon on the way to Jupiter or on to Saturn is one thing, but being on the surface is a completely different scenario.@@seanreardigan2013
@@seanreardigan2013how would you heat up the outer casting to the extreme temperature that would be needed to penetrate Granite type ice 6 miles thick? Couldn't rely on Solar power to generate that type of heat as the Sun is too far away
@ perhaps. But we all know that permafrost can be extremely hard and that’s nowhere near 6km. Anyway reading more of the article it says they’ll look for organic life in the geysers (they spelt it geezers 🤭). So we won’t be seeing any fish type creatures shooting into the Europa skies 🤣
❤😂 You're amazing through your color code.A blue and white representing cold and red and hate just like you show to the Earth showing the cold, the warm and the tremendous Heat. Keep up the good work.❤So you're great people
Saturn’s moon venting organic chemical laden water is a better bet. Just my personal opinion. It would be WAY easier to drill there or take lots of samples while orbiting. Seems a better place to start. 🤔

@zajournals they (the people who study the creation of planets) say it came by comets and asteroids. Where did the asteroids and comets get their water?
@@peacepoet1947 "Water molecules form in interstellar space by chemical reactions between hydrogen molecules and oxygen-bearing molecules such as carbon monoxide. Water is very common out in the outer solar system. A lot of moons out there have a substantial portion of water hence their lower densities. The planets rings are also mostly water ice
So basically all that Methane and hydrocarbon sand on Titan make it a giant energy source. Would it we, if able to survive there, technically use that Methane?
