I am at 18:22, and just talking about mining on the moon gets me thinking of what happened in the future in The Time Machine from 2002, I distinctly recall the moon was being mined for resources and this causes it to change its orbit drastically around our Earth eventually causing it to crash into us. I don't know yet if this is ever mentioned later in the video so if it is brought up then my apologies :) I just thought it was an interesting connection
The nice thing about space is that there is only a maximum of 1 bar or 14.7 psi difference in pressure. Diving in the ocean increases pressure by 1 bar about every 10 meters or 33 feet. At least in water we don’t have to worry about radiation which is a huge problem in space.
I hope you slowly begin to believe. I know it’s difficult at first. But it’ll become easier to believe over time, the longer you’re subscribed and viewing these videos. Truly one of my favorite channels 🫡
Can't wait for Artemis III astronauts to descend down from the SpaceX HLS equipped with a sturdy wooden shovel, and just start digging and see what they find lol
At 13:16 you say that getting something from the moon to low Earth orbit is less resource intensive than sending it from Earth itself. By that same logic, does that mean that getting something from Earth to “low Sun orbit” would be less resource intensive than sending it from the Sun itself? I’ve heard it’s very difficult to get into orbits closer to the Sun, like Mercury because there’s little-to-no gravitational assists like we have when slingshotting towards the outer solar system. Assuming we could launch something from the surface of the Sun. The gravity of the Sun on its surface must be HUGE and nearly impossible to blast away from.
What I find fascinating is scanning high resolution photos of the moon right near the terminator line. The low sun angle amplifies the shadows and structures as well as giving crisp contrast and definition. Stop the video right at :07 , 1:08 , 2:40 and other similar spots and just study the detail. See what you discover.
@@abhinavpadhi908 I understand but I'm speaking about the actual photos not the digital recreations. They do both exist and yes there's a big difference.
does not ice sublimate to gas at low temperatures? If Ice exists and is exposed to the "air", would it not eventually disappear? Since my sheets "dry" on the close line at -40 deg overnight in Northern Canada, the ice was Likely depleted millions of years ago. I think you would still have to dig for it, even at the pole
As earths geocorona contains water and extends to the moon couldn't that be the moons source of water? I always thought water was part of every planet's make up since formation, but that be my poor education showing.
Just a floating ball… in the middle of nothing. Just a rock floating around in black. Suspended in that empty black nothingness, with no atmosphere- from the surface to space- nothing in between- nothing to protect anything on that rock… just the instant vacuum of space… Our beautiful and glorious planet has protected us within such a perfect atmosphere - it’s truly amazing.

Interesting that's possible. We really do act just like ants tho we wanna dig up everything. May be that why no others want to meet us lol

This is a superb channel. Intelligent content... narrated slowly and thoughtfully. Thank you Alex.
I can't believe this channel exists. Such incredibly high-quality content on a platform full of brain rot.
I hope you slowly begin to believe.

There are many excellent science channels on UA-cam thankfully. The more you watch them, the more they will get recommended to you.
Lunar regolith hooded coat for the cold weather for me then. Damn that stuff insulates.
Top Notch Quality as usual, thanks a lot!
Happy Solstice 💚
Almost!
My response to people saying “Merry Christmas!” is always “Happy Winter Solstice!”
Thanks for uploading the video🌒

most of them would just be 3d animations based on computer generated texture of the moon

If there is water, there is atmosphere somewhere down inside the surface.
We should send AI robots to the Moon, rather than humans and save the Moon from resource utilisation, we've done enough damage to this planet!
Lava tubes can be another useful trap...
Oh my.
And how to deal with the nasty and very small particles of lunar dust, in the process of extracting/processing drinking water from the moon?
Why does the mineral layout look like EVEonline p.i.?
Attach a flashlight to a probe. Problem solved.
Not only water, what of Tritium? (just don't tell Exxon Mobil)
Tritium snob!! 😡😁🤗
Hmm…
Wow just think bottled Lunar Water. Someone will make a fortune 😄
I was not sure its so dangerous 😢😢😢

moon has always scared me due to no availability of atmosphere
Wait til you find out some planets atmosphere are made of things that would instantly kill us
And all the cheese up there, surely there are large rats

Why is it when I saw the title of this video my first thought was “of course we can’t go there that’s where the Monolith is buried!”
Because you’re slow
Fix the Earth first.
Does anybody remember the Dr Who Water on Mars episode? 😉 Just saying 😅
*Humankind*
Of course there's water on the moon, how else would the whalers have made a living there?
But there ain’t no whales so they tell tall tales and sing a whaling tune.

We spoke briefly but he didn’t say anything I swear by the moon ooh ✍️

Been there. Its wet.
If the world didn't become cooperate centric we would be half way to teraforming Mars and harvesting the gases of Jupiter
