I like your approach, but I don't like your price plans. I do not want to pay a subscription for something I want to install once and forget. You should have a simple product for someone who wants to install it and doesn't want to deal with it until there is an equipment problem or something.
That’s fair. We offer a subscription because we are continually working on the software and adding new features and apps. If you just want one app or a simpler solution, Gooest is supposed to be pretty good, and we often recommend Touch Designer. Our pricing is at-cost for the software. We don’t make a profit and we support a wide range of hardware so our users can source locally and choose the best hardware for their budgets. The cost of a subscription covers hosting the platform and the salaries of four people, but I understand if that’s not the best solution for you and encourage you to explore other options.
@@LUMOplay I hope I didn't offend. I think I should've word it better. Of course, it's your product, and it looks awesome, and you have every right to charge it however much you want. I watched few of your videos and I really loved the features you have put together in LumoPlay. Especially the ability to make your own games with very little effort is great. But I wish you also had a non-subscripton based model. I wish you all the best from 2025. Thank you for your other recommendations.
It’s all good, I totally understand. We actually gave away our first software for free for a few years, and we still have a free version. I hate that we have to charge money for it. If the community ever gets big enough to do what Blender does, that’s what we’d like to do.
If you have questions, contact me directly through LUMOplay.com and I’ll help you! ❤
