Sorry in advance for bad english! Please be careful about Hoppip, even with Substitute its still dangerous shiny. Hoppip has move "Bounce" which Super Effecttive against Breloom (x4 weakness) and it can just break thru this substitute and use Memento!
Id recommend using more safe options like Chandelure with Imprision + Memento

You are right this would also work! But it needs to be a high level chandelure or else it will kill it just like sub. I personally like sub better since bounce is a two turn move you can work around it.
