Hi Kate - Always love your videos - they are so informative - can you specify for invitations that are editable AND printable how do you save the file once you have created it in CanvaPro - does Canva just format it for you when you choose the template link? or do you have to save in a specific format BEFORE grabbing the template link?
Thanks for watching friend! And good question. The file isn’t formatted for printing until your customer actually goes to download their completed template. So if your file is best printed in for example, a PNG or PDF format, you could recommend that in the listing or on the PDF where you deliver the template link :)

You are so welcome, friend! It’s generally best to stick up free elements when planning to sell Canva templates as your customer will have to pay to remove the watermark from pro elements if they don’t have pro.

Happy to help friend! If you use Pro elements on a template, your buyers with a free Canva account (which will likely be most of your buyers) will have to pay to remove the watermark from each Pro element

Yes! Or they will need to pay to remove the watermark before downloading.
To have happy customers, avoid the use of pro elements cos each element cost $1 so if you 10 of it in a template, that would total $10...You see how this would make free account holding customer unhappy.
Hi Kate, great video! JUst wondering if it's possible to share a project to sell that includes all different sizes of banners for FB, IG, LinkedIn? All I could see are templates having one size which is quite easy to share. What will be your suggestion or work-around if I wanted to sell a design that can be used for different socmed platforms and sizes? Hope this makes sense. Thanks!
Hi friend, you can only have one size in one Canva project. If you wanted to sell a bundle of different sizes you would just need to provide a PDF with each different template link embedded into the page for each different size

Great question! It’s best to use only free elements as the user will have to pay to remove the watermark from pro elements to download if she/he doesn’t have Canva pro.
Hi Kate! Love your videos! Question... if you accidentally delete your template file, doesnt it delete customers' access to the template? I tested it, it seems to... im concermed about accidentally deleting my files or closing shop later and have customers with templates they can no longer access... is that true? Just want to plan longter... thanks!
Hi friend, good question. Based on our testing, if a customer has already accessed and edited a template link from their Canva account, they will still have access to it from their account even if you delete it on your end. However if the link is still being sold in your Etsy shop but the file is no longer available, those customers will not have access to the template.

hello may I ask, does offering variations mean I will have a bunch of listings on etsy?
Yes! You’ll need to offer each as a separate listing since there is not a variation option on digital product listings on Etsy currently.
I haven’t done digital I have tried POD and have sold nothing. Should I start a new site on Etsy or add to my previous site.
It depends… would the style/ theme/ target market be related in any way? If so, they might be fine in the same shop. If not, I’d recommend starting fresh in a new shop!

This is nicely done, but I think in your intro video it would be important to add the fact that if your customers on etsy only have a free canva account they will have to pay to remove the watermarks on every pro element. This is a very important piece of making it profitable. Or is there something I am missing?

Yes you can! You just need to make sure you’re sharing the “template link” :)
I just want to make sure I understand this correct. When having a digital product, you do not attach your downloaded PDF file after making your digital product on Etsy, but rather you use a template link from canva? The digital files I have are uploaded after I finished my canvas design and downloaded it to my computer.
You can do either! You can sell a final file as an instant download (not editable by the buyer) or sell a template that the buyer has access to to edit then they download the final file themselves.
Are you changing each template to customize it before you list it or are you just taking the template like it is?

But i am dealing with an hard ship right now and that i really need to make a lot of income right now like ASAP and so hopefully this helps me and I am willing to learn a new skill if i need to and that my goal this year is to make a lot of income so i can financially support myself and my baby and i am an first time mom as well and i don’t want my baby to go through the struggle that i had went through and i don’t want to struggle financially no more and i struggle financially most my life and still even now and i never grew up with a silver spoon in my mouth and that my blood family is dealing with a lot of generational cruses right now to the point there going to be homeless tomorrow and that it has effected my life so much and i am so done and tried of the struggle life i am ready for change and i don’t want my baby to experience what i’ve been experiencing and i want me and my baby to be financially free but definitely keep me in yours prayers and i need it bad.
